I like how you mentioned about "i dont know if anyone would understand, but i dont really care about"... that hits the spot for me man. Thank you for all the inspiration and keep doing you!
These are great Evan. These videos really make you stand out. Also it lets the viewer get a real view on your process, both mentally and physically. Its great to see how you work with a scene or with/against the time you got and all the other variables. Keep going!!
Absolutly inspiring! Please keep making them! The work is much appreciated...! And yes Fuji edits... I’m hoping to get a X100F and could use some tutelage!
Keep up the great work. I personally enjoy the vlogs because it inspires me to go out to the city and shoot photos. It’s also good to see someone else’s perspective and how your vision is then demonstrated in your photos.
Evan, I came across your channel and I love it!! You do such a great job at making your content interesting but still keeping it about photography and how to grow in photography. There were other channels I used to follow but they started to stray away from photography. Also, after this video I can’t wait for spring and rain!! Hope to get some great shots of Detroit in the rain! Keep up the great work!!
Huge fan from up in Northern British Columbia, Canada. I love these videos, man. I have a lot of love for my city as well and your commitment to documenting Atlanta really pushes me to bust out the camera and keep shooting shots of my city in the same way that tells the story. Your effort is appreciated from this Canadian - keep it up.
Your videos are so inspiring to me. I have passed you along to both my mom, and my best friend who is my usual shooting buddy. I have learned so much from you and have been inspired to go out whenever possible to shoot.
Please hang in there because this is a super enjoyable channel with not same old same same! The Channel brought to the point to start taking photos again and stop complaining all the time why it is so booring around. Best from Munich Germany!
I'm a long time viewer. Always enjoyed and learned from your videos, always voted up, but honestly, never commented. I can only assume, how difficult and time-consuming your vlogs can get and I appreciate every single video. Thanks, man!
Great work finishing your first half marathon mate. Keep up the awesome running work! And you're right... People can achieve crazy things, it's just about seeing those goals and working hard
These are the best videos! Extremely inspiring and makes me want to go out and shoot! My favorite photography videos on youtube hands down! Thanks a lot!!
Your videos are really helpful and interesting. Probably my favorite photography videos. They definitely make me want to go out and shoot. I like your style very much. I would be interested in seeing how some of these shots look before editing.
dude tbh I really like your videos. the thing is Peter Mckinnon got me into Photography, but you are the one who is pushing me through right now. I never leave a comment but at the last minutes of the video, I feel like I need to give you this one. Good job sir.
I’d like to see a video on editing Fuji files. And could also explain what film simulation you use or the custom settings you use on that simulation if you changed them
You are the Peter Mckinnon of Atlanta. I like Peter Mckinnon but I enjoy your videos better because they arent just random vlogs of you making coffee. You actually take us with you on your shoots and explain your process and sprinkle in editing tips and tutorials here and there. Thanks man.
Don’t know if this will make much of a difference to you at all but here it goes. I’m 53 years old, been a semi-pro photographer for going on 25 years. Have worked with live rock bands, shot hard news, fine art nudes, been published in actual books worldwide many times over and trying to re-invent myself as a street photographer in the last few months. I can tell you this, out of all the videos on youtube of street photographers i have seen so far (literally hundreds) yours is by far the most interesting and inspiring. I am roughly hashing out the ideas for my own RUclips channel, inspired by you. Unlike you, street photography for me will not be easy. I don’t live in a big city. I live and work in a couple small farm towns in Ontario Canada. I have done the high adrenaline images when shooting hard news for a couple different major papers so I don’t really need the adrenaline fix… plus on staff with Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper, touring and shooting live music has also given me some of that fix… I have a few really interesting ideas that I think will make for a really desirable book one day and I will be filming the process of shooting and travelling for that. Your channel has inspired me. Your story has driven me. I am gonna be shooting street with a country view….its gonna be a challenge for sure but like I said, your videos have really inspired me and pushed me forward to a brand new chapter in my photography careers… thank you.
Hey Evan - I would love a vid on Fujifilm edits. I shoot XH1 + 16-55. When I first started with Fuji a few years ago; I was blown away by the colors. Today, I'm little more experienced and edit my raw files. As you know, none of the in-camera processing or "Fuji magic" is there. That said, I tend to add my own "look and feel" to the files; so they're no longer "Fuji'ed" (even to the point where I'm thinking of moving away from Fuji). I'd like to see your process as it may help me get that "magic" back.
I agree with Kepano. The amount of editing I do with my raw files changes the whole style, but it makes me wonder if I should just switch to full frame to have more editing freedom.
@@jonathanballona3886 I'm so close to pulling the trigger on A7iii (the web page is up and almost clicked the add cart)...I've sold my 6 primes off (last one in mail tomorrow). I have one all purpose zoom only now. I've been prepping for the quick change over ;)
I can agree to an extent. Disclaimer, I shoot fuji, I love the look of fuji's colors. That being said, the things that make fuji unique can be replicated with enough patience. Take classic chrome for example. A few of the things that make it unique are how the primary colors are shifted to secondary colors. Blue is shifted to teal, red shifts to orange slightly, the greens are desaturated. If you sat with any camera and the HSL panel you can replicate that. One thing that can't be replaced in lightroom though, is how the camera feels and handles in the field, which is I think the biggest factor in camera choice. Image quality between the major manufacturers has largely converged in recent years.
Would be interesting to see your Fuji JPEG settings. I know you shoot raw, but what do you use considering it alters your live view. Film Simulation, Color, Sharpness setting etc.
Loved that photography vlog, very rich in terms of content/photos and 14 minutes? Hell yeah! I'm about to buy a Fujifilm so a tutorial for fuji edits raw/jpeg's would be nice. Cheers!
Hey, it's so nice to see how you choose and find the spot and subject of your pics. I really find difficult most of the time to find and see what is a good subject in street photography and I always realize after I took random shoots what was good or not. So those video inspire me to go out just more often and eventually I'll get use to see and recognize good spots. So thanks to share with us and please keep doing it 😉👊🏻
Your vlogs are getting better and the pictures are just astounding! I really get motivated to shoot more often. One things I’ve been wanting to do is get a new camera. I’m debating whether get a Fujifilm or full frame Nikon.
Thanks Evan! Really loved the shots and I really LOVE your editing style. Yeah pls make a video about your editing, even though I dont use Lightroom, it can me interesting :)

Just an observation: from a non-US viewer's POV, what makes the last shot so Street Atlanta, USA is the street fire hydrant! 👍 Great stuff Evan!
