I watched an organization/declutter video in where the person called out some commenters for being negative about the amount of times she has to declutter her home. She basically said that, in life, we accumulate things we need during seasons of our life. It's human. So, it only makes sense that we then need to declutter in cycles as well. Declutter/organization is never finished.

The couch stars in another video! It’s sweet that you’re still happy in your marriage with it

Oh Rachael! There were so many points in this video where you explained something about your practice and I just gasped in delight, it’s lovely! Your setup is beautiful, I love your Fox figurine and the way you set up the constellation crystals. It’s so simple yet so well done! I hope the dawning spring treats you wonderfully, and get well soon!

I love the atypical spot for your altar. It feels so secretive and "hidden in plain sight." ^_^
I do worry quite seriously about the candle though. Standard safety practice is to allow three feet of clear space above a candle flame, but it looks like the back of the sofa crosses into that area. Maybe add an extra platform you can pull out in front of you, like a repurposed monitor shelf? Please be careful!

My altar was in a position where I sat on the floor, but one day my back woke up and chose violence, despite the pillow I used. So now I have a sort of roaming altar where it all lives on a shelf behind my sofa (over my shoulder) and is pulled out as needed.

I finally had the mental and physical space to watch this. THank you Thank you Thank you! I just moved and was struggling with how to set up my practice in the new space. This gave me lots of ideas, ah-has, and that's the magic!

such a lovely video!! made me think about my own connection to bees as a symbol. my whole room is covered in them, and yellow/gold themed, so maybe something for me to explore in my own practice. also bloody love the incorporation of your domains into your spirituality, gonna be taking some inspiration for sure.

I know many Witches don't like to share their altars but I love to see how different practitioners set them up, what's on them and why. It helps me imagine how I want my own set up while I collect the pieces I'll need.

Hey, random I know but i wanted to thank you. I. Started listening to the audiobook of Our Tragic Universe after recalling your reference to it in a much earlier video. I'm really liking it a lot. So yeah. Thanks.

your vlogs are always so nice and soothing to watch!
PS: my hoover does that kind of noises when there's something stuck in the pipe like a piece of paper or something thin that'll make a whistling noise like blowing on a blade of grass

Very very interesting video! Thank you so much for sharing all that kind of stuff. I didn't know you also made videos about this - and had a witch practice in general - I started following you because of the Bullet Journaling. But I looove thid kind of witch stuff, today not so much beacuse of my own practice, I'm still very much a beginner and also don't have the need to do much more than Oracle cards on and off (and a lot of meditation and yoga, so more on the "general" spiritual side maybe). But anyways today I had a wierd feeling and needed something calmin, cozy and friencly to watch and you gave me exactly that. So thank ypu so much for sharing your life in general!

Not all EOs are toxic to injest. Lemon, lavender and peppermint in a capsule is for sinuses, for example. It depends on the quality of the oils as well.
    Loved your vid btw

Hey Rachael !!! I have a question... so I kinda want to explore some personal variant of witch craft/invocation in relation my creative process, specifically my writing... i was reading this book called the war of art and there's stuff in there about ritual... my issue is this... I'm pretty much an atheist. That is to say, I believe in magic in so far as I believe in psychology, human interconnectedness, and the limitlessness of creativity...i get the feeling you are kind of in a similar boat... so my question is kind of two-fold... is it necessary to trick myself into believing in my symbols or spells or invocations, and, if I know, on the surface, that my invocations would be, in a sense, purely psychological, how do i do that? Lol... sorry if this is super long winded.

In a previous video, you mentioned that your psychological model/belief system is similar to the ideas of Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung. There is an overwhelming amount of information online - do you have any resources that you'd recommend to learn more about them and the ideas you mentioned?

    • @RachaelStephen
      @RachaelStephen  Год назад

Kelly-Ann Maddox’s videos on archetypes and deity are my biggest recommendation! You might also like the book Basic Witches, it’s an introduction which uses the secular / psychological model.

Hey, Rachel! Watching your Transformers rewrite has inspired me to rewrite the Transformers movie myself. I would have 9 Autobots and 9 Decepticons in mostly G1-inspired designs like the Bumblebee movie (not all of them will have time to develop in the single film, I am aiming for an entire 10-year saga similar to Marvel's Infinity Saga). My Autobot cast would include:
Optimus Prime (the tough but kind leader who serves as the heart of the story)
Bumblebee (the optimistic and upbeat scout who serves as the human-Autobot connection)
Arcee (the sarcastic older sister of the group)
Elita-1 (who serves as the mother of the team)
Wheeljack (the nerdy engineer of Team Prime)
    Ratchet (the careful medic)
    Jazz (the cool daredevil)
Cliffjumper (the gentle giant of the team)
Ironhide (the toughest of the tough, built to last)

I love how you're using the space as an altar, however I'm concerned about your safety regarding the candle and the heat being so close to the fabric of the back the the sofa.

Isaiah55:6&7,"Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts.Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon."Repent, receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior today. This is God's invitation for redemption, Jesus loves you so much and he is the only WAY to eternity.God bless you
