I've had a hard time adjusting this model before. May i know what other affordable models or types of two point floating trems i can replace it with? Having a hard time searching for trems that fits the stud spacings like this frt-8 body crasher. I would appreciate it a lot. Great content!
I have some bridges and nuts you may be interested in, I think one is hand made (machined) by the MAN..with a "bullet" nut, and one is a production type with cast saddles/"FLOYD ROSE" stamped on the base and a "Patent Pending" sticker.......and the third bridge is somewhere in between.......I also have the nuts and parts that came with the...in other words the complete set of each. I also have four FR5's from the first year they were offered, 2 are complete sets with the box they come in (now used)....one of those is a "Bullet" model nut as well.......also of interest a prototype "Bill Edwards finger tight locking nut I bought from him at his florida store in 1983, in the same trip I bought the FR5's ....... I can send photos if you wish.... Eric Polo

I appreciate your work! Thanks. Possibly the most modern electric guitar innovation out there.
Thanks for the info!

The Fernandes Floyds of that era should drop right in. Otherwise, try the Gotoh 1996T. Some older Floyds might work too.
