Criticizing the Carpenters reveals his bad character, and he is also responsible for the breakup of the Beatles, all to become involved with a showy woman.
So they wanted to do/sing/play THEIR music the way THEY wanted to....but others, for their own financial gain, needed to intervene.
IMO therr are only two great singers of all time. Karen and Sinatra.
Her voice was amazing and spanned a large vocal range. That she died at a young age meant we lost years of future singing. Oh, what I would give to have her back again. Richard was a musical genius. It is odd that Ticket to Ride by the Beetles became such a hit when Richard did the arrangement and Karen sang.
