You are absolutely right on trying to buy a new one. I got my deposit back from my dealer because they couldn't get the configuration that I wanted. I ended up finding a slightly used one so I'm good!

I love it, fairly easy to drive. I actually really like the auto rev matching for around town stuff. No regrets!

What are your thoughts on replacing the crank hub?
My current thought is that I'll be keeping it stock powerwise until after warranty expires. In that time if the crank hub spins then bmw will fix. From reading the forum posts it seems much more likely with above stock power but has happened in stock form.
