It always helps to get the opinion of a woman who is comfortable being honest with you… Although my pictures are not as hilariously bad as some of these, a platonic woman friend said I looked like a guy who didn’t get a lot of women. Even though I look cute and fairly muscular, I was clearly not choosing the pictures that convey the right vibe.

The workplace has been very good to me also. I'm in the dental field and the last 10 years or so I've seen a lot of Asian women come into the field. They love American men and by just being myself I accidently learned that in their culture the men rarely compliment them, if ever. Would you agree this is accurate? This unexpectedly turned out to be my foot in the door. Lately, all I've been dating are Asian women.
You’ve got the gift of conversation so that helps. I’m not sure about Asian men as I’ve never really dated one and the only Asian males I know are either relatives or friends. In general, I would agree that Asians are not complimentary. I’m using my mom as an example. She’s quite critical. Have you seen “The Joy Luck Club”?

I just finished watching The Joy Luck Club. Thanks for the recommendation. Good thing I watched it alone as it is an emotional rollercoaster ride, but thank goodness it's quite joyous in the end. I can't even imagine what it would be like being raised in such a rigid environment. I was in a band as a young man and we played what we loved without limits or rules. The two Korean women that I dated probably had some of that distance in their marriages. And they also came from rather well off backgrounds. I see now why they both seemed starved for s*x, affection, and compliments. One did tell me that her husband only had s*x with her twice a month during more than 20 years of marriage.
