Tonga..great initiative. Please remember you have to compete with India, the largest producer of coconut oil. We in India have extensive network of growers, oil producers, supply chain
Hi Ian I personally appreciate your venture. I worked here in ireland for ten years already. but i am a filipino and planning to go home to start a business with a money save. I actually grow up in a coconut community . I know how to climb in a coconut tree. I love your idea. it truly inspires me . now, my family have vast land with coconut but we just sell that to traders. Can i visit the place someday so that i could replicate your idea and give a chance to help poor people in our place by giving employment and preserve the environment at the same time. hope you reply my message.
Ian Jones hey Ian. How about the idea of raising stingless bees alongside coconut farming? That would increase the yield of coconuts plus extra income from stingless bee products (honey, propolis etc). Fyi, PH hospital is going to study if VCO can help patients recover from COVID-19.
Hi Ian, just to let you know that i have viewed your video a number of times already and truly, it's very inspiring. I will soon retire from the corporate world and would like to replicate and pursue the things that you are doing now especially your vision to help and give back to the community. I hope to learn more from you. Best regards and good luck! Roland
I am broke right now trying to scrape by in the USA, when I'm gonna have enough money I will check on going to tonga for apprenticeship. I have quit a land full of coconuts but don't have the know how and resources for now to start a livelihood for me and my community
Hello Mr. Ian, Just a question please, how much water can be added to coconut milk extracted from the milk machine? For example if I have 20 liters of pure coconut milk, how many liters of water I can add to the coconut milk before they all go into the fermentation tank for oil seperation. Kindly advise me. Thanks

thank you for this great video and I have some question I want to ask. Is warm water added to the scraped coconut and mixed before the oil is squeezed? Is it a must that warm water be added to the scraped coconut or can we just squeeze the coconut oil and let it separate into three layers.

Hello, since the last 4 years I've been to the islands of the Philippines, my desire is developing an Organic herbal liniment, but I am desiring to learn the process of extracting the oils from the coconut also helping to employ 15-20 local people in that city, they grow a lot of coconut, and I am wanting advice of developing the oil in a larger scale of production. I seen how it is extracted, and hoping someone can help me in the process, of the industrial equipment,,,thank you

However, there is no information or link to this business "Taste of Tonga" I tried various online search engines but ...there is no website or link to contact. Talk business means to educated the public and to promote your local business, please add websites, links and more information about how to contact Taste of Tonga. Thank YOU for your prompt Reply
Hello Ian, I would like to implement such an industry in my island. I have been making my own virgin coconut oil for several years now, all subsistence. I would give bottles away as gifts. Now people are buying, however I cannot meet demand as I don't have the machinery. Where did you purchase such, including the glass jars! Its unfortunate I can't take you up on your offer to learn the whole business model first hand. Is there an business email where I can reach you?
You are using plastic tanks to store your oil. Does any leaching happens since the container is plastic. Just considering if the storage plastic is food grade safe.
Wow! I’ am interested to bring it to my community where i grow up. I have a coconut farm.i have a fourty or more hectars of coconut farm and i want to do someting to help my community ang my pucket as well
Very nice. With it being a somewhat poor country I can understand the choice of raising swine. But, I would have tried to opt for another choice of livestock if I could have. But, I must be careful of any criticism, because as the old saying goes..."If you don't think that it was done right, then do it yourself." But lastly you also might be dropping the ball on something. 1 bottle of 100% Pure Coconut Water 11.1 fl oz (330 ml) sells for between $2.95 and $3.95 USD for humans, and I wonder if some of that protein could go in dietary protein powders that are used for health for humans.
Hi. Thanks for the video, at last, i saw it. I am Ace Bordarays, from Philippines. My family have hectares of Coconut plantation, and our finish products on copra (dried coconut meat). Interested to venture for this opportunity. But, honestly i am limited resource, like; process knowledge and especially after market. Anyone can teach even through zoom, then certification? And, potential buyer from our country. Thank you.
Hello Mr Ian Jones, I have sent you and e-mail to you hoping we could get to now each other and start working pretty soon. I shall be waiting for your response. Thank you
