Excellent video. I've been a fan of Google Docs from the beginning, and it's only gotten better. I love it, especially on my Chromebook. It's very easy, clear, stable, and saves everything. It just keeps out of the way, unlike Word which is heavily frontloaded with features most writers will never need in a thousand years. It's also very customizable with add-ons. I wish it were around when I was in college. It would have made life much easier. I woudln't have lost so many docs. I once had to retype an entire 40-page paper from memory because the computer crashed two hours before class! If only I had Google Docs in 1994!
Oh my goodness! 40 pages?!? I cant even imagine. I was using Microsoft Word in 1994.
@@thelifeofawriter I was using Word on a Mac in a computer lab. Horrible experience! Students are so lucky these days to have Google Docs and Chromebooks. I'd even run G-Suit instead of Word if I ran my own office. Word is the past; Google Docs is the now and the future.

@@thelifeofawriter I really struggled through grad school, not because of the writing, but of the technology changes that occurred while I was out making a non-technology living. But I made it. Bookmarking your videos as they are so helpful. Just published my first novel (and kept all my hair) but reviewing your wisdom for the second. Thanks.

Best reason I chose Google Docs is it automatically saves so I can’t accidentally lose text or documents if I forget to save it.
