A really smart person once told me about advertisements..."The product is so bad they have to pay to try to convince you to use it." Your comment reminded me of his words.
As I was watching this review, an ad for the Always pan popped up - right after she said it wasn’t a good buy. 😂 They are persistent with their ad doll hairs.
I bought a knock off at Ollie's. Paid 19.99 and I love it. I will be going back for a second one for my dad and xmas presents for next year. No need to pay 145$.
@@kristys7172 can you explain how to easily clean your cast iron so I will know? 😂 I must be doing something wrong. I’m honestly scared to use mine half the time because I fear I will damage it while cooking or cleaning it afterward.
I own the lavender one. I love it. I am just me. I needed a non-stick pan mostly for stir-fry. It’s perfect. It’s lightweight. Cleans up so easily. Later: 4 months in I returned it. Ugh. Stained badly underneath. Stopped being nonstick, even veggies in olive oil stuck. Burned myself on the handle. Good news-company returned my money!!!
I'm convinced it's made by people who don't actually cook in their own kitchens. Also, if it can't go on high heat, then how are you supposed to boil anything?
Not with the newer Titanium-Ceramic surfaces! Which, by the way, you can buy in a 12" version for around $25-35 by Ecovolution (in a beautiful copper color)@@themagicknightress7132
I use cast iron....I'm 69 and some of my cast iron pans belonged to my husband's GREAT Grandma. Still cooking well after nearly 150 years of continual use!!!! My granddaughters all have their dibs in for when I close the kitchen for good.
I have vintage griswold, wagner and staub i found at thrift stores. All id my pieces are older than me but used everyday and entirely nonstick. My 3 yo daughter often borrows the smallest ones to play "kitchen."
The thing that bugged me about this pan was the metal steamer basket in a nonstick pan. If I can’t use metal utensils in the pan, wouldn’t the feet of the steamer basket also scratch the finish? We got the Food52 GreenPans and they started off gorgeous, but discolored on the bottom very quickly. Still mostly as nonstick, but my favorite pan is my Le Creuset 5qt braiser. Great all around large surface skillet sized pan with a lid, also love it for casseroles.
Thank you for the review. You hit the nail on the head. I think the demographic they are looking for are the folks who live one to two people in a small trendy apartment. Not the family of 4 or more who are cooking hearty down home or from scratch meals.
I agree with this. It's just my husband and me but I cook from scratch every day so I feel this pan not standing up to high heat or not being in the oven are deal breakers for me.
I have two cast iron pans that are totally naturally non stick. One is a no name one I received at a wedding shower 48 years ago. One is a Staub that is more like a cassoulet and I have had for about 10 years. I would never pay that much for a non stick pan I just haven't had good luck with non stick. My husband would take out to the barbecue grill and burn off the handle and scratch off the non stick. For sides I have Sur La Table stainless pots that can go anywhere.
@@jupitertheargentinetegu honestly I just wash mine out immediately after use and I set it back on the stove with fire on until it dries. Once in awhile I put some avocado oil on a napkin and rub it into the cast iron but not often. Maybe once a month. The staub pan is very high quality but they are also quite pricey. I use my old round one every morning for cooking breakfast and yes I cook eggs in it.
@@jupitertheargentinetegu if you’re getting a new cast iron, just watch some videos on here for beginner care. Caring for an old, well-seasoned skillet is completely different from starting with a new one (even if they’re “pre-seasoned”). My lodge skillet that I got two years ago is still not at the level of my grandma’s skillet that her mother used. But it’s worth the effort!
I bought this pan and ended up returning it within the 30 day return period. At first, it worked great- truly nonstick, but after about 3 weeks everything started sticking and it was a nightmare to clean off. Since I was in the market for some non-stick, non-toxic pans, I ended up trying Caraway and so far, they have not disappointed me!
@@DrDrayzday ah, I see. I ordered one of these and it is supposed to be here in February. I cook for myself mostly, and other times, it’s just for one other person, so I thought this would be a daily pan for me to use. I still have high hopes!
I use my grandmother's old cast iron skillet for almost everything......... I don't think I'll ever use something different. I do have a few cast iron pieces, an old magnalite, and some enamel ware as well, but the skillet is my most used piece. And once you get the hang of it, they are so easy to keep up with. Thanks for the review!
I agree with you that some things are worth the investment, if possible. I have an 11” Scanpan. It was expensive but it is PFO free, completely non-stick and does high heat and oven to 500°. Also thick and conducts heat amazingly. I use it for everything! Available in a 12.5”. Not an ad 😆I just love my pan.
Thank you for the review. I have never heard of this pan. There is no way I would pay that kind of money for a frying pan, even if it could go in the oven and handle high heat. As far as looks; Personally I have never had a single person walk into my kitchen and say "My, that pan really looks nice on your stove." What they DO say is, "Smells good, when do we eat?"
THANK YOU! I have been on the fence about this one. This definitely won’t work for my family of 5...glad I didn’t waste my money. My Lodge Dutch oven is my most used pot/pan for sure, which isn’t wasn’t I was expecting at all when I bought it, but if you’re looking for in all in one pan that thing might as well be it!
I purchased this pan as well (in green too, love it) and this pan is perfect for my husband and I, and you are correct that it would not serve a family of more than two. I agree with everything you said with one additional con, the triangle on the handle close to the pan itself gets very hot as well. I have small hands so I tend to grip my handle a little closer to the pan and have burned myself, yes burned myself twice. I wrote to Our Place and advised them that I thought that this was a health and safety issue. Their advise back was to use an oven mitt (after paying the high price for my pan, you’d think they’d throw in the oven mitt), nope, they’re ok with their customers discovering through burning themselves (I wonder how many have) that a mitt is necessary. I also wanted to say that I purchased the cast iron pan (yes in green too 😊) and use it for the high heat/oven use cooking. I love my cast iron frying pan, and I was smart enough to order the handle grips as it was obvious I would need them, unlike the Always pan. Also too, I oiled my wooden spoons and they are not rough and clean well. 😃😃😃
I have 3 generations of cast iron pans. I inherited my grandmothers, my mom's, my aunts plus what was given to me when I got married. Best non-stick, high heat, oven-safe pans on the planet.
I’ve been seeing these everywhere. I certainly won’t spend that price point even if it’s a great pan but I was curious what a normal everyday person would think of this. Thanks for not doing a sponsorship to review this as those always make me weary of the honesty. I’m just a family of two but when I cook I make enough for several days because I don’t like cooking everyday. This pan looked too small and I’m glad you mentioned that.
Honestly, I just use my cast iron. I saute in them, I make omelettes in them, I bake cornbread and other breads, I roast chicken and whatever else you use a skillet for... Most of mine have been given to me and if I bought any it was at a yard sale.
I kept seeing the commercial for this pan pop up, "the cult classic", "the wait list inducing"...and I'm like, what? never heard of you. It's like they're trying to persuade us they've been around forever, that their items are tried and true and we HAVE to have them...nah
Those awful RUclips ads made me despise the product and wish I could comment to let the people selling this pan know that the creator lady comes off snooty and pretentious. Nothing about their marketing plan works for my sensibilities.
Exactly! It's one big advertising ploy. A useless, pastel coloured pan that people can have in their kitchen that looks cool, but which they don't really ever use. Aimed at trendy types who probably eat out all the time LOL!
Truly appreciate your honest review of this pan. Has to be oven-safe and high-heat, right? I'll stick with the cast iron skillet I got at my wedding shower (44 years) and the tri-ply stainless steel set I found at goodwill (new in the box!).
Like you, I've seen the multitude of advertising for this pan. It's a hard pass for me. When I want steak I cook it in the cast iron skillet to get the hard sear on the outside and then put it in the oven. $20 and they last forever. Great review. Thank you
Misen has carbon steel pans- just bought the 10” and 12” - that can go in the oven, withstand up to 900 degrees. Like cast iron in that you have to season it but much lighter in weight.
I got married a few years ago and my mother in law bought us A LOT of pampered chef. They’re pricey for sure but our pots and pans look brand new after using them daily
My mom got this pan for my birthday after I too was inundated with ads. I was really disappointed when it didn't even last me a full month and I was cooking only for me and my boyfriend, so not even a full family. The bottom of the ban completely cracked one night and was on fire basically. They were nice about the return and I see your pan has a different bottom so maybe they fixed the problem. But then why sell two different pans with different structures less than a month apart? I'm glad I got my yearly reminder for free at least that the stuff you see advertised on instagram is rarely worth the hype. I think it's kind of a scam to sell a cooking pan to millennials who don't really cook. I'll stick to my cast iron, $20 - Marshalls.
I’ve got a collection of cast iron skillets that I love. A couple from my mom, a couple from other people who don’t appreciate a good cast iron! Although not non stick, I rarely have a problem. I season them pans after each use and that seems to do the trick. I appreciate your honest review!
I used to buy non stick pans and they would wear out. Around thirty years ago I bought a set of steel pans from Costco. The whole set was, and still are, under $200. I'm still using them. What I learned was look for that NSF rating on the bottom of the pans. It was a learning curve. If you think your food is sticking, you are trying to turn it too soon. Give it a minute and try again. Also, if food does stick to them, you just go in with Comet or Barkeeps friend for a quick clean up. I do buy a large non-stick skillet and a smaller one about every 3 years for near $20 and they are great. Still, I have my cast iron and a cast iron wok which I love. I wouldn't touch that pan with a 10 foot pole.
I love my big wok pan. Use it for everything. It’s just my husband and I but we love stir fries, making sauce in it and throwing the pasta in to combine, frying up homemade tortillas, etc. We can do it all with our wok. My husband got it as a Christmas gift last year. Hands down our most used pan.
Thank you for giving your opinion! I get advertisements for this pan super often and always thought to myself "that seems really stupid. I need more than one pan so that I can cook more than one thing at the same time" but then you wonder who actually uses these things and what they think. Thank you for weighing in so now i know i'm not missing anything when I see the ads.
I just splurged and bought Lecruset enameled cast iron pan and small dutch oven, i had been eyeing them for months, there was a sale and code and i went for it. I hope its worth the price I paid and last me for atleast a decade. Thanks for this review, I had come across the always pan and looked up reviews, in the end I just didn't know if I could trust it. Thank goodness I didn't. Merry Christmas!
Pasta needs a lot of water, in 1984...starch hydration is starch hydration, as long as you’re not sticking or running dry use whatever pan you have. You also get a really great starchy water to finish your sauces...
The ads for this pan is literally everywhere. Thanks for the review, kinda guessing that was too expensive for me but nice to know more comprehensive review over it
Racheal ray oval pan for stovetop-I can’t do cast iron, not for me. And, I have another oven proof skillet I like. I was checking this pan out & also have a large family-so thank you for talking me out of it! I don’t like the rough look and the obnoxious screw on the handle as far as looks, & 10 inch is too small to replace all pans-that kind of voids the idea of replacing all pans along w not being oven proof. Happy Holidays!☃️❄️🎄
Yup. Your cons are my cons, your pros are my pros. I wanted this as a birthday gift, so I don’t regret purchasing it, (at the Black Friday price) but I think I would have at full price? Idk. It piqued my curiosity, and loved the colors. I didn’t look for it to replace anything for me, and after watching reviews I knew what I was getting. It’s cool to have and I love the company’s mission.
We have a set of pans from Pampered Chef that has lasted us almost 20 years. They are starting to show lots of wear lately though so I have gone back to my cast iron pans. I remember why I loved them so much.
Thank you for such a clear and comprehensive review! Totally not worth the money for me. Even as someone with a smaller household, we tend to cook in large batches--especially our sauces so a pan that small and that can't even go in the oven would be considered a total waste for us. Oh also, there are brands out there that make non-stick cast iron pans and they have beautiful colours, too! An American one is Lodge and a French one is Le Creuset. We invested in these and they have not let us down! Happy Cooking, everyone!
I love how honest your review is. My fiancé bought be one but I barely use it. I like clear lidded pans better I like to peek in without having to lift the lid.
You hit the nail on the head! It can't go in the oven. Plus if anyone was wondering it's not dishwasher safe also says the manufacturer. I chatted with them on Instagram and they said stay tuned they're working on an oven safe version. Money saved for me! Yahoo!
Thanks for the review. I was wondering about that overpriced pan I see everywhere. My favorite daily pans are the nonstick ceramic from Costco. They come in a set of two in a copper color for $39. I buy two sets per year when they go on sale for $29 each set, and then toss the old ones. My second fav is a tie and each have their own unique purpose: my wok also from Costco $17, my cast iron (3 generations have owned this pan that was handed down), and my All Clad. My favorite pots are my all clad, they conduct heat so fast, and are easy to clean. I scrub them with Bar Keepers Friend about once a month and they come out looking band spanking new without much effort. The cast iron and All Clad will be passed down to future generations.
This is a great breakdown, thank you! Was thinking about purchasing but have been very hesitant due to price and the "no high heat". You really put all the pros and cons into the right perspective for me. Love your channel!
Thank you for your honest opinion! I didn’t know before watching this video that it wasn’t oven safe! I too am not a coward and cook everything on high as well so I see how that would be a huge factor!
I do not have the Always pan...thankfully! I do have an Alcad skillet, a LeCueset braiser ( which is my favorite of all and I use practically everyday!), a non stick copper small skillet for eggs, a large flat ceramic griddle, an assortment of stainless steel pots and pans and one more LeCueset roaster. I love them all and use them all. I do have some old cast iron that I need to re-season that I would like to pull out and use more often. I like to cook. I’m a mother of four ( and grandmother of 10!) as well but my children are grown now. I know how important cooking is!! Everything but the nonstick I’ve had since my children were little! It pays to invest in quality cookware! It will last a lifetime! ( I’m 62) My cookware will long outlast me!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I was thinking of getting one of these for my husband and I but the fact that it can't go in the oven is a HUGE negative for me. Thanks again!!! I love your channel!!!
Thank you for doing an unsponsored honest review of this! When something is advertised that widely, it's really hard to get honest reviews; I had my doubts and you just saved me the trouble!
SO excited to see you do this review! I love that I can truly trust your feedback and your opinion if something is worth the money or not. I would love to see you review the other very popular brand of pots and pans people are talking about called the Caraway Cookware Set.
OH MY GOSH I cook everything on high heat! lol. I'm a pretty good cook too - I'm just busy - I don't have time for low! I appreciate this honest review. Thank you.
I looked it up also! And yes, I agree! If it replaces all other pans, who eats one thing for dinner! You couldn’t afford to buy several of these to cook a complete dinner with! I’m so glad you did this review because I was leaning towards getting one although it would really hurt to pay 145 for one pan! But now I have changed my mind! I don’t think it’s worth the money for me personally for what I would need it for! Thank you for your honest opinion on it! I can get a new complete set of cookware for not much more than what this one pan costs!
Omg! I see that pan everywhere too! It would probably be a dream for a family of 3 if there wasn't so many restrictions and that price OUCH! Who makes a pan that doesn't handle high heat? Diffently NOT worth that price. Thanks for the review.
I have 3 sets of pans and yes I use them all. Stainless steel, cast iron, and ceramic. I have weak wrists and go for the ceramic on the days I cant lift the cast iron. Cast iron is my new love language and I absolutely adore how they cook. My stainless steel are deeper and make more sense for certain dishes and during canning season. I never meant to have 3 sets, but I love them all. The always pan just looked like a big gimmick to me, I'm glad to see your video and confirm that.
This is my #1 pan. I use it every day. I got mine as a gift so I didn't have to pay for it. There are only two of us so its size is perfect. It cleans up so easily that it's not worth taking up room in the dishwasher. Who knows what it will look like in a year of nearly daily use? I love it but I understand why some would not.
Before I even watched this my immediate thought was, "that pan is NOT gonna work for this mama!!" I do have one myself - I also got the sage green and I had a coupon code as well. I don't have any sizeable non-stick pans (just my OXO stainless steel) and there are two of us to cook for. I think for some things, this is a great go-to. But, there are still times I reach for my stainless steel pans. I agree 100% about the utensil - I rarely use it because I don't trust the construction of it.
Thank you for such an in-depth review. Your honesty really comes through and I mean with the way you cook, you know which pans serve you well and that's great!
As for getting the food smell out of wooden utensils I wash them by hand then ALWAYS spray it with white vinegar and water. And using spoon butter on your utensils and cutting board will make them more smooth and make them last a lot longer
I have to tell u, I think this is SO funny, the irony, I just told someone HOW MUCH I LOVE the Always pan!!! I really do! I’m a family of 4, so it’s perfect size for us, I got 2 new “items” in my house recently, my instapot and my always pan, I can say, for my family, it’s THE BEST of both worlds!!!! I been watching your videos every day since March??? Something like that.. we have only used cast iron in my kitchen, my wrist thanks me every time I use it, and the cleaning..... OMGoodness! Like u said, easy peasy!!!! I seriously think it’s worth it, but I can see your side, absolutely!!!
I'm so glad I turned on the bell to get notified for your new videos. I've never done it before because I thought it would be annoying, but I'm loving it, especially for vlogmas!
I've had mine for just over a year and it has lost its original, appealing non-stick properties, likely because of the heat of my electric burners. I have always handwashed it and used non-scratch utensils. Now I season it much like a cast iron pan with a little oil rub after each wash and it still performs well because of that. I still really like it in my kitchen, and have given it as a gift a few times, but I would never ever pay full price for it. Because it can't take high heat, it can't replace every pan in the kitchen. Crumpets, among many other things, require multiple heat settings to come out just right. Another important point - The steamer basket should have silicone feet. You have to be so careful when using it because the handle connections and feet can totally scratch your coating. Considering the level of thought going into the rest of the pan, I'm surprised they let this flaw continue for so long. They at least incorporated a better steamer/rack design in the perfect pot, although that's not a basket.
Totally agree! We’re a family of two, but vegan, so our servings are rather large. The pan is so small and limiting, I regretted the purchase. The one thing that made me not totally regret buying it is that we can’t find one thing that doesn’t cause tofu to stick - except this pan. So, if you cook tofu, this pan is great. Otherwise, save your money.
I live alone and it’s a good every day pan to keep on my stove. I got sucked into the hype when I was on night shifts and bought it. It’s not worth the price I paid in Canadian dollars for sure, but I will use it.
I have an Emeril Lagasse stainless steel set that my brother purchased for my mom years ago. My mom gave them to me because they are too heavy for her. This set has to be at least 15 years old or older, and it is my favorite. I also, have a Calphalon set my husband got me stainless steel, as well, that are much lighter than the Emeril. I have found that I use one pan from the Calphalon and more from the Emeril.
Thanks for the review, yes been seeing A LOT of this pan and I liked the look. However I will hold out for some All Clad. I thought this pan could go in the oven....then well the $145!!! pricey and I need more bells not just whistles. Thanks for the honest review. Got to go look at your High/Low pans video...thanks and happy videoing!
I have had my eye on this pan because it is "pretty". Thank you for the review. I will stick with my stainless steal pans (that are going on 15 years old) and my cast iron. I have one or two nonstick skillets for "the sticky" cooking but rarely use them. There are to many hard no's to this pan and the PRICE>>>>>> OMG!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you !! Every con you pointed out is on my list and I appreciate your honesty and taking the time out for us to review it . cant wait til the next one !
I have this pan! It was a gift. I do use it a lot, like I would any skillet, almost daily. Christine's review is pretty honest; I would not have bought this for myself but that non stick coating is SUPER legit!
Good review! Well done. I'm with you on the size & depth. 12 inches would be better and could be a little deeper. Can't take high heat! That's a no-no! Can't go in the oven. Nope and the other point of the other side handle is not heat resistant. Nope! Finally the cost. Too expensive, for what it will do! This is the kind of honest straightforward review I'm looking for, when I'm researching a product, Now, I'll subscribe. Thanks!
I am gradually throwing out all my small Teflon pans and replacing them with the black Granite- stone pans, so far so good. I have an 11 inch enameled in and out cast iron frypan with a lid, Kirkland brand bought it like 10 years ago for $40 still looks like new. I like the looks of your Always Pan but I don't think it's worth the price. That ceramic interior looks really nice, it will be interesting to see how that hold up. Thanks for sharing your experience. TheReaper!
Ironically, I got an ad for this pan on this video 😅 Thanks for reviewing it! I've been seeing the ads and wondering if it would make a lighter-weight substitute for a regular cast iron skillet, but not being able to go in the oven is a HUGE con for me... The more I look into it the more I think it's definitely wouldn't be an "everyday, every use" pan for me... if I cared more about form than function though, this would be a great choice! It's beautiful!
I have never heard of the always brand but that's probably because I live in the uk. My current favourite is the go cook range from tescos which I believe is only a uk store. It's amazing. The brushed aluminium finish is so easy to clean and nothing sticks. Although they are a supermarket chain brand they arent the cheapest pans to buy but I believe they really are worth the money.
I totally agree with you! I’m an avid home cook and will never buy that non-stick pan priced at $145. I’d rather spend my money on solid stainless steel pans which would last for decades!
My very favorite pan to sear in. . . .a thrifted find @ an MCC store: heavy bottom, stainless, beautiful AND can go in the oven. $20??? or less. . . . Latest favorite is Martha Stewart Dutch oven bought @ Macy's during clearanc (too big for No-Knead bread). Roasts are requested nearly weekly. . . . My family is 2 men, me and a serving frozen for Mom.
Wow!! I use my emeril set all the time along with my cast iron. Love you and your family. Keep up the good work and Happy New Year. Look forward to more videos.
I agree that it's not truly an "all in one" for anything more than 2 people. It's only my husband and myself, & I have to say, it would also be difficult for us to just use the one pan! Fwiw, I have the same pans from Sam's, a full set of stainless, some great cast iron (inherited my grandma) & good enameled cast iron pots from HEB...LIKE LeCreuset but only $30!!!LOL Maybe hang on to it (if you'd like) and give it to Hailey when she's off to college?? Or sell it?

As I was watching this review, an ad for the Always pan popped up - right after she said it wasn’t a good buy. 😂 They are persistent with their ad doll hairs.
I avoid overly hyped products. If a product is good, word of mouth will sell it.
you are so right! and made in China where QC is super lax.
I have one of these too. I don’t dislike it but I definitely think it’s WAY too expensive for what it is. I think $60-75 is a fair price.
Jan where are your posts?
Hey, Jen. Sure hope you're feeling better. We miss you.
Feel better Jen. 😊

too funny, I laughed out loud!
Not oven safe is a dealbreaker for me. I’ll stick with my $20 well seasoned cast iron
Cast iron is my favorite all use pan.
I have my grandmothers and my mom’s iron skillets, they are all I ever want to cook with.
Cast iron is a deal breaker for me. Too heavy and too diva to take care of. Chucked mine.
Cast iron is the easiest pan to clean. Switched to cast iron when I was 20, never going back.

Well, at least they're reputable.
I can't even fathom why a company would design a pan that can't go on high heat. It makes absolutely no sense!
ESPECIALLY when named the always pan. 😆😆
I'm convinced it's made by people who don't actually cook in their own kitchens. Also, if it can't go on high heat, then how are you supposed to boil anything?
@@Rhodeygirl I guess you’d have to turn it to medium and wait, and wait, and wait...
Pretty much all nonstick pans shouldn’t be used above medium bc it will damage the nonstick surface
Not with the newer Titanium-Ceramic surfaces! Which, by the way, you can buy in a 12" version for around $25-35 by Ecovolution (in a beautiful copper color)@@themagicknightress7132

What a family treasure! I’m so jealous!
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS, THANK YOU!!!
**So disappointing, I had high hopes for this! So glad I saw this before I put up the money for it.
I’m one person and it didn’t hold up for me.
I’m highly amused that the ad RUclips served me before the video was for the always pan. Lol!!!
I got one for a Trump bobble head hugging the flag. Good laugh to start the day
Hahaha!!!!
same!
Same!!!
I got the ad right after she introduced it! Lol
Christine forgot to mention that the shape of the handle is stupid. Who makes a square handle?
My first thought looking at it!
Somebody who doesn't regularly cook but had an idea for an overpriced startup...
It looks so awkward to grab and not so disability friendly.
Lol!
I noticed that too. I guess they want it to look "minimalist."
As a person who cooks for one, I use it daily but the steamer basket is annoying to lift up because it gets hot and tips
Oh my gosh! My favorite dermatologist Dr.Dray! So cool to see you here as I watch this channel as I binge on yours in the evening! Stay well! 💜
Do you use an oven mitt to remove the steamer? That should help with the heat.
@@lizreid6538 it’s awkward because you end up getting the oven mitt wet when you reach in to grasp at the handle
@@DrDrayzday ah, I see. I ordered one of these and it is supposed to be here in February. I cook for myself mostly, and other times, it’s just for one other person, so I thought this would be a daily pan for me to use. I still have high hopes!
Hey Dr Dray! Love seeing you in the comments! 😁💜🙏
Totally just grabbed a SS of your comment so I can look into picking one up myself! Thanks for the tip!!!
Great fancy egg skillet.
I totally agree!
The review I've been waiting for. Really the only reviewer I completely trust.
I've been eyeing this pan for a while and based on what you've said, my husband would kill this pan in 2 meals flat. :(
Deal breaker, can’t go in the oven. Ridiculous.
So much for “always” pan?
Wha? Nope definitely pass if can not place in oven
An “always” pan would be good old cast iron. Indestructible and versatile and once well-seasoned, non-stick.
I kept seeing the commercial for this pan pop up, "the cult classic", "the wait list inducing"...and I'm like, what? never heard of you. It's like they're trying to persuade us they've been around forever, that their items are tried and true and we HAVE to have them...nah
@@CM1984 so true 😂
Those awful RUclips ads made me despise the product and wish I could comment to let the people selling this pan know that the creator lady comes off snooty and pretentious. Nothing about their marketing plan works for my sensibilities.
Exactly! It's one big advertising ploy. A useless, pastel coloured pan that people can have in their kitchen that looks cool, but which they don't really ever use. Aimed at trendy types who probably eat out all the time LOL!
Why are some people actually buying it lol
@@theshinythings123 some people will believe anything if it is repeated to them often enough.
Sometimes size DOES matter....amiright, amiriight, or am I right? Right. Right.
😅😅😅😅.Groundhog Day.
Truly appreciate your honest review of this pan. Has to be oven-safe and high-heat, right? I'll stick with the cast iron skillet I got at my wedding shower (44 years) and the tri-ply stainless steel set I found at goodwill (new in the box!).
“10 inches is kinda not big enough”
Men everywhere: 😟😟😟
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀
☠️💀☠️💀☠️💀☠️
Lol "mama needs a 12 inch minimum" 🤣
*Gets an ad for the always pan mid-video* Noooooooooooo, staaaahp.
It was a no before, now it's a very no! Thanks Christine.
I got it as well! Haha
Like you, I've seen the multitude of advertising for this pan. It's a hard pass for me. When I want steak I cook it in the cast iron skillet to get the hard sear on the outside and then put it in the oven. $20 and they last forever. Great review. Thank you
Agree with you. Go with something more versatile and cost-effective.
Misen has carbon steel pans- just bought the 10” and 12” - that can go in the oven, withstand up to 900 degrees. Like cast iron in that you have to season it but much lighter in weight.
Great review - fair and balanced - the companies marketing team should have met you first Christine - you’re our rock star !
I got married a few years ago and my mother in law bought us A LOT of pampered chef. They’re pricey for sure but our pots and pans look brand new after using them daily
I have a huge set of Kitchen Craft cookware that is great for everything but eggs.
Chinese quality with hefty price :)
You don't actually need a lot of water for pasta, you just have to stir it regularly and make sure it doesn't stick to the bottom and it will be fine.
Why buy something so expensive just to make my life harder? I'd rather stick to my 20$ pan that makes things EASIER.
I have a Kitchen aid non stick - works great!! That, a high edge stainless steel skillet and an old cast iron pan serves all our frying needs.
Thanks for trying this out for us. I've been seeing those ads and been very curious. I appreciate the candid review.
Thank you.
At that price I am going to purchase an All Clad pan.
I love All Clad too.
And you will love them, so ease to keep clean and goes to the oven on broil with no problems 😀
My favorite line of pans too. I use them for everything.
I found a small All Clad pan at Home Goods and WOW, it’s by far my best pan. I need to buy more.
Great grandma’s cast iron pans were free to me and work wonderfully!
I have been looking into this pan, so excited to watch your review!
I was wondering if it was worth the hype as well! I will just leave it to the 20somethings that think they need it as a status symbol 😂😂
Thanks for being so honest! My favorite pan is my vintage Griswold cast iron pan!
The way you rubbed the handles of the spoons made me laugh a little LOL
I'm so glad I turned on the bell to get notified for your new videos. I've never done it before because I thought it would be annoying, but I'm loving it, especially for vlogmas!
Yay! Thank you!
I've never heard of the always pan, but now watch the ads pop up
I've had mine for just over a year and it has lost its original, appealing non-stick properties, likely because of the heat of my electric burners.
I have been seeing this pan and wondered if it was any good! Christine to the rescue!
I got an ad for this pan while watching this video hahahaha I'm sorry, they can't go on high heat?!? Why even have the thing?
Thanks!
I bought one when it first came out and you hit the nail on the head. I see the adds all the time to since I bought one
My favorite pots and pans are always Le Creuset. Each one is an investment that is always worth it.
I love them, too
I am gradually throwing out all my small Teflon pans and replacing them with the black Granite- stone pans, so far so good.
I have spent the past week researching a new deep skillet with lid that I can cook on high heat. I think I’ll look into cast iron.
Or sell it?
