    I bought a mint one around ten years ago for just £190. I see it as being a digital camera that just happens to use film. When I'm using it, no-one, but no-one ever realises that it's not digital; the look on their faces when they ask to see the picture on the screen is priceless.

    You could get a "I'm Back 35" for it if the body is supported which is basically a retrofit 14MP sensor for film bodies.

      These are my uncles so don’t think I’d risk taking them apart haha but I have seen those - maybe a project for 2023 😉

    i was gifted the Nikon F5 from a retired photographer that has been sitting in his drybox for years and due to his decreasing in health, invited to his house and handed the F5. The condition is not mint thought, but all the operations seems solid. Its just the yellow LCD inside the viewfinder can no longer display anything at all. I just want to confirm with you, if I manage to get a replacement of the DP-30 finder, that should fix the problem right?

    I am not trying to flame you nor anyone else. Great video, by the way.
    But this was professional kit. Carried by pros into battle, up mountains, deserts, in stadiums. It was carried usually with heavy expensive glass.
    99% of the time you did this because you were getting paid.
    For the short period of time I was a paid pro I carried my rz67 and a rb67 as backup, all over. I did brochure work.
    I later downgraded to 645 and F5.

    Great review! What 24-70 zoom lens do you recommend to be used on F3 and F6?

    • @HamerReviews
      @HamerReviews  Год назад +1

      If you want it to fit both the F3 and F6 your best choice is the 28-70 2.8 AF-D - it still has a aperture ring so will work with the F3 but it has AF-S so works with the F6 really well too. It's built like a tank too!

    It's about the same weight and design as my D850 with vertical grip. After 60 years of neck/shoulder straps, got a black rapid and it makes this camera feel weightless and able to be carried all day. Auto focus, ability to use my G lenses as well as D lenses and Zeiss is incredible. 1/8000 sec lets me shoot wide open without the need for nd's. Although 8fps is a bit pricy, when trying to nail an expression, I will burst through the expression to nail the precise moment. The auto/focus confirmation lets me confidently shoot with less than 3" dof while on vintage cameras, it's a crap shoot.

    Use the Nikon F5 since 1996 and use it still. Use now the Nikon D4 and the Nikon F5 with only three Metal AF-D prime lenses. Had the Nikon D3 which is still a great camera. And don’t like the Nikon D5 and the D6. For me the best camera is always the Nikon F5 second best the Nikon D4 an third the Nikon D3. Film is far superior against digitaal. With the Nikon F5 you must think for you shoot a photo. It’s the man behind the camera not the camera itself. And how you use light inside and outside.

    this is a film camera beast . If you want a modern film cam this is it bar non .The f6 is cool but the f5 was an is the real film cam workhorse .As far as the size a weight it feels much better then my d800 fyi its almost exactly the same size an shape an weight of the new Z9
