I’m a HUGE fan of Sniper Elite, another “hidden movement” and “1 vs Many” game. Is this more fun for the “many” sense the mechanic of hidden movement is reversed and they are hidden? Just found your channel, big fan now!
Unfortunately not played Sniper Elite, though I’d love to. Great question I need to mull over a bit more but personally, In my admittedly limited experience of the genre, I’d say that yes I had more fun as the many in this game than in others.
Kenny talking and getting a "No Reason" spash screen got me laughing out loud. Mind Mgmt is great at 3 or 4 because the many team discusses and you get that same feeling of "Don't move there, omg, how can I escape?" 2 player Mgmt you don't get that same suspense.
Looks fun. Curious, do you think the non-base characters would change it up much or would it feel like the same game whether there is a werewolf or a murderer, etc.
Can’t speak to all the new stuff, but at least with the base game all 3 of the killers are massively different and certainly change the way you play. So if they’re at all like that, I think the expansions would go a long way in keeping things fresh. With that said, I also think I could play the core game dozens of times without it feeling tired. But the expansions look like excellent additions.
Ooh, that’s a great thought. And I’m a HUGE fan of betrayal with the caveat that half the haunts are broken, so I’m sure that’s no small part as to why I adored this experience!
Funny enough the big set piece that's the house talked me out of getting it. Game looks fun but that dice-tower/health tracker/card holder thing made me think how much of a pain that is gonna be to set up and tear down each time. Or hope to god it doesn't get dinged when I travel with it (cause I don't host games in my house, I go to game shops/someone else's place) because then that might screw things up. But looks good, hopefully it hits retail or if not, ah well.
I’ll echo Jash! Completely fair point, but just to note from our experience it’s not too bad at all. And the rest of the setup doesn’t take long either.
@@Tablenauts Oh that's completely understandable and it's a fantastic table presence but I really need to see how it all fits in the box nicely or make sure it ain't too bad before putting money down. Especially cause the actual DbD board game just came in which you might enjoy since, based on your shelf, ya too enjoy other Level 99 games
@@FatCastro yep! I’ve got it on order. I wanna try it, though I’m very skeptical. I could upload a pic of how it fits in OUR box, but as it’s prototype I very much doubt the boxes will be the same.
@@Tablenauts It plays VERY differently than this one and more like the DbD video game. There's no hidden movement mechanics for one, everyone knows where everyone is at all times. But I really enjoyed it from what I played. And yeah the big thing for me is that it's all a prototype so the final components might be worse, might be better! Hopefully if it's good it does well enough to hit retail or they do a reprint KS
This is tricky for me, because in terms of 1 vs many games, I already own Betrayal Legacy, which I ADORE and which already gets a lot of table-time because of its wide mix of scenarios, and in terms of hidden movement games, I think I'd rather get something like Letters from Whitechapel or Whitehall Mystery which has more depth of possibilities, swaps the roles of hunter and hunted, and in the case of Letters, supports up to 6 players. Personally I can just see this game taking up a lot of space on my shelf, and losing its appeal fairly quickly because, behind the pretty facade, there's not a huge amount of depth.
It’s kinda funny you released this the same day the dbd game came out
Entirely coincidental but I like it 😂
Love this conversation! You guys never fail at making me want to try games. Definitely feels like this is a crossover of Final Girl and Mind MGMT!
Thanks so much :D
I haven't backed a game in nearly 2 years, but I leapt at this one earlier. It would suit either of my game groups so well.
I’m with ya. Don’t often back games but this fits the bill.

Yeah, interestingly enough I’ve actually never played it at 3-4! (MIND MGMT that is)

@@Tablenauts yeh, I think you can pick and choose them too. Might just add the werewolf if I do. Appreciate the insight though, guys! Thanks!
This game reminds me of the second half of betrayal at house on the hill but without all the extra complicated rules! I insta backed this lol

@@Tablenauts Will you guys be posting a group play through, I'd love to watch you guys play through it.
ARNAK IS AMAZING, Max. But I refuse to unsub either way! I still love the game and the expansions made it even better.
Would be really helpful if you use chapters in your video.
Hi, will it be easily alpha-able for surviver side? Thanks

The prototype comes together pretty easily from our experience but I totally understand the worry about it traveling!

Alright, I’ll go and back it. 😃
Ayo!
Have you guys tried any of the expansions? Any favorite or even ones you'd consider must/haves?
Estará en castellano el Terrorescape?
Game looks too scary for me. But thanks for your thoughts.
