I already respected the heck out of you, but now that I know you are a proud gun owner I respect you that much more. I highly suggest you take a firearm safety class because it helps us gun owners because it shows that we care about firearm safety and maybe even think about getting a concealed carry license. After all, like you said. You never know. Thank you for not being afraid of exercising your right to bear arms. Much love keep up the good work.

Haven't pulled long haul yet with this truck since it only has around 3k miles or so on it. Already planned out the route using Loves and Buccee stops. Keep the vid's coming.

I need to do this hand calculated MPG on my Ram. The lie-o-meter on my truck tells me I’m averaging 20+ mpg running between 70 and 80mph down the highway. I’ll try that on my next run from Denver to Cheyenne.
I hate to see the damage on your truck, crap like that sucks to deal with. I’ve been lucky with my Ram and the windshield (knock on wood) no cracks or pitts to date. So far I’ve only had one rock rip the clear bra on the front bumper with a quarter size tear. That’s the only damage after 19k miles.
    Love the travels blogs.

See folks, a person who wants a handgun, but is responsible enough to know to get training BEFORE buying one. kudos to you for recognizing that! These stupid, infringing, gun laws that some states make is stupid. The criminals will have guns no matter the laws!! When will asshole politicians realize that. How bout laws to punish the criminals, NOT the law abiding citizens... As for traveling with a handgun, you need to make sure you are multi licensed, and compliant in a multitude of states, if traveling, and crossing the states borders. It's not as easy as one might think. Some states are open carry, some are concealed carry, some you can drive through with a loaded firearm, some you can't even have on possession (keep in lock box in trunk). Be careful when traveling.

Sorry to see that you now have a Wyoming windshield on your new truck. Between armour coating on the roads with ground up rocks and the sand mixed with rocks that come out of the snow plows, it is inevitable. My first windshield on my 17 Silverado HD got cracked before 1500 miles. I have several rock chips that I filled and they haven't spread yet, but I am almost due for another windshield just because of the sandblasting tiny marks on the glass. A few years ago I bought my wife a new Subaru Outback in Idaho Falls and on the trip hope from the dealer she got a broken windshield 5 miles from our home. Subaru had an issue back then because lots of people were getting broken windshields because apparently they reduced the glass thickness to save weight, bad idea.

The GM's are so flat up front they are a rock magnet, wonder what MPG would be like if they made it a bit more aerodynamic (as your numbers with wind show). Didn't take 900 KM before i had a small rock hit where your bottom one did on the low middle, it spilt all the way up to the top now, covering multiple sensors. Got a quote for over $2000 CDN to replace it, a large part of which is "sensor and HUD, recalibration". Paint has taken a few as well on the front door panels, the stock flaps just aren't enough to keep dirt and rocks off there, and i think its on purpose when you see the cost of their upgraded flaps.. Props on yer pewpews, careful showing them on your channel, don't want to see you demonetized!

I like this video series. Real world traveling. And people wonder why we buy crew cab trucks lol. I mean you got the cab slammed full and the bed half full lol. People that act like regular cabs are where it’s at are just being silly lol.
I’m pretty shocked that you don’t have any handguns. They are my favorite. I have a lot of opinions about that kind of stuff. But the short of it is to me if you can only have one handgun, then you need it to be a stainless, medium frame double action 357 Magnum revolver (S&W model 66, 686, Ruger GP100, Colt King Cobra, Python), in a 4” revolver. It can do everything. It’s a good beginners handgun to train with because it can shoot the cheaper, less powerful and much less recoil 38 special. It’s a good self defense gun in that it’s big enough and heavy enough that hot 357 Magnum is not terrible to shoot and good 38 special+p self defense rounds are like shooting a 22 and yet not so big that you can’t carry it. Conceal carry could be an issue for some people however. And lastly, most of the above mentioned guns can handle hot 357 Magnum all day everyday and 357 Magnum is (in my opinion) the most versatile cartridge available. It can do anything. 125gr jacketed hollow points have the highest one stop shot percentage of any handgun round and is basically the gold standard. A 158gr flat nose soft point will take down just about any medium sized game. And you can get it in hard cast lead 180gr that is capable of taking dangerous game (as is a lot of specialty 158gr loadings).
But there’s literally dozens and dozens of good choices. I just think if you only have one handgun a medium frame stainless steel 357 magnum is hard to beat.

I would never buy a single cab unless it was strictly for payload and even then, I would just get a cab/chassis.
Thanks for this info, this is the type of stuff you don't see on a truck channel lol! Because I have kids, I've stayed away from hand guns until I have time to take lessons on how to use them but now that we are in Utah, I plan on getting the training (with wife) and have a few on hand 👍🏾

@@JB_WhoWork sounds good. Revolvers are popular with new shooters because they are pretty easy and straight forward to learn and use. But autoloaders are pretty easy to use too. They do require a few more steps and a little bit more maintenance.
I would recommend trying something in a 22 caliber first just to get the feel of shooting a handgun. Something more duty sized too because they typically have better sites than conceal carry sized guns. It’s not a good idea to jump right into something that you would ordinarily conceal carry because they require a little more skill/practice to be proficient with. Contrary to popular belief you can be accurate at distance with a snub nose revolver or a pocket rocket auto, it just takes more practice.
