Came across a deal too good to pass up: A somewhat rare golden 1972 Ford Gran Torino in 1/43 scale by Premium X for 22 EUR and free shipping from Hong Kong.
Pros:
- price
- bright interior
- raised windows on both sides
- photo-etched lettering
- indicators are separate pieces and without pegs
- rare model (they dont make the 72 in other scales)
Cons:
- pegs on headlights and taillights
- a few issues on my model like a dent above one of the headlights, a small spot on the base of the windshield, and a thin scratch on the rear chrome bumper

PRD153 is only the item code in the IXO catalogue ;-) These Premium X models of IXO are really very nice made. According to Wikipedia this 1972 Gran Torino is the third generation of the Ford (Gran) Torino series. This third generation is more looking like a facelift of the second generation - the grills of the second generation from 1970 and 1971 is in my opinion looking better. A friend of mine in Kansas owns a real 1971 Ford Torino - amazing machine in green-metallic paint. Last year I got myself an autoworld diecast model in scale 1/18 of the 1970 Torino - sadly I was also chosing green and hoped to also get this amazing green metallic but it was an ugly green. But still an amazing large muscle car - worth to collect. Same about this third generation of PRX. It's really looking nice!
