- Former prime minister Tony Abbott has blasted Australians praising Hamas during protests as he branded the terrorist organisation an “apocalyptic death cult”.
Mr Abbott said the Albanese government is “conflicted” as he hit out at its “wishy-washy” October 7 motion which tried to mention the deaths of people in Gaza since the war began.
“In any existential dispute between a terrorist group on the one hand and a functioning Liberal democracy under the rule of war - there is no contest,” Mr Abbott told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
Australia seems to have misplaced its moral compass. We have had the she'll be right attitude that has allowed terrorism and support of terrorism to seep into our society and hatred for our Jewish community to go unchecked. We are a western country with western values which clash with Islamic values. Immigrants coming to Australia should embrace our society, assimilating into our culture rather than mainstream Australia having to bend to accommodate foreign nationalities. When something as Australian as Vegimite is now halal certified, and let's face it only a true blue Aussie eats Vegemite, something has gone very wrong.

Tony Abbott was so underrated, he could of been amazing if the party didn't back stab the shit out of him. I think most of Australia had a laugh at Tony at some point for another throughout time in office of prime minister but we lost our big time when they backstabbed him out the door he was a good guy. He was Aussie to the core and he's morals were in the right place and he had a backbone. Thanks for your leadership Tony I don't think I'm alone when I say, How good of a prime minister you were by comparison? You probably could have achieved a lot more if you had had the support of your own party.
