I noticed this video was taken down after it was first posted. I thought maybe you got your hand slapped somehow - glad you're bringing attention to the brand, for the worse in my personal experience (after an acquisition anyway - they were fantastic a few years ago). I love the honest reviews. I picked up a Monsoon purely based off your video and love every minute of it.
I got my Schecter bass as B-stock, and it plays just fine. Most gear I've ever gotten as B-stock/used it has always worked just fine. Good examination. I encourage everyone to check out their gear like that whenever they get anything, be it new or used.
So this is really a World Music Supply guitar. According to their website: "We bought the diamond guitar company during covid and had to move factories. We got a container shipment that had too many issues so we are leaving the factory and liquidating the entire order at fire sale prices."
got about $100 off my b-stock sterling cutlass and the only blemish i could find was a tiny scratch the size of an eyelash on the neck plate. good deal!
I received mine last week and the finish was pretty nice. It didn’t look exactly like the one on their website, but I’m not complaining. Especially if the guitar isn’t all that expensive, but it shouldn’t come with a chip in the headstock! Mine isn’t the one with the reverse headstock, and I had to T.R.A.I.N. it before I could bond with it. If you don’t want yours Richard then I’ll be more than happy to make some kind of deal with you for it.!? I’ve always wanted a guitar with a reverse headstock.! Let’s make a deal lol!! Thanks for the review and demo mate!, and until next time… Stay safe, Stay metal, and don’t forget to riff.?!🤘🏻🎸🔥👊🏻😎🥂
For me, someone who just doesn't have money at all, B stock is just fine. As long as it plays good...dings and scratches don't bother me at all. If the frets aren't sharp and high, the action is good, stays in tune, and the pickups work... "Dude. Seriously?" "Don't quit your day job." "Do you even have a job?" The overall look of that guitar is nice. The finish is meh, and the headstock ding is pretty solid, but not a deal breaker for me. The inlays are a nice touch, though, and the reverse headstock looks good. Like I said the first time around, it sounded good enough. Is it worth 149? Probably. There are other at that price I might go with, but if it was all I could get at that price point, I wouldn't cry over it.
Pretty cool to see some new videos about Diamond guitars, have not seen much from them lately here in Europe. Bought a Bolero model a few years ago, quite nice singlecut
I bought the purple barchetta. Mine looks pretty good. Plays pretty good as well other than a slightly lifted fret, but it doesn’t buzz. The neck is chunkier than expected. It bigger than my squier strat neck.
I bought two of the mid-to-high tier models, both Barchettas, for $330 each. For both, the only flaws I found were a slight paint imperfection on the back of the neck, and one of them had fret sprout. The pickups in both retail for $200+, so I got the rest of the guitar for ~$125, not a bad deal! Once set up, they definitely are the quality the MSRP implies. All they have left are the lower-end models, not interested in taking a chance on those, your experience with yours is pretty much the experience from a lot of buyers.
I have that exact guitar. Plus a Bolero and Barchetta. The Barchetta is my favorite. Curiously, none are marked b stock anywhere. Lot of guitar for $150. Changed the Bolero pots because there was a problem, but no regrets buying them for the price
I wonder, did Metal Dude party with Syd Barrett back in the day? Bummer about this guitar. Thanks for the review, you made it sound good even though there are issues with it. Thanks.
If Metal Dude can understand it's B-Stock after you pointed him at the website, anyone should be able to get it. (Nice touch btw). I liked your review and demo just as much as the first time, and as always appreciate your opinions and integrity. You ever decide what you're gonna do with it?
I got three guitars from them as basically gifts and one I called the store for because they didn't have of them listed. I have two Barchettas one in a metallic lavender one in red. They are both really the same but the red guitar was 125.00 black hardware and open bobbin pickups. the one listed for 149.00 had chrome hardware covered pick ups. The other day I got the Halcyon in a flame red burst and it has a some what flamed top. The one I bought was a guitar they produced called the Bird of Prey. I have been wanting one for a while and the prices for used ones seemed a little too high. I called the shop and asked did they get any BoP and he said yes we got two one sold immediately the other still in stock and he would send it to me for $349.00 I wipped out the credit card so fast it almost caught fire! LOL They sold these as B stock but all 4 of my guitars are pristine with the exception of the BoP and it was only missing the truss rod cover. They found one and I bought it now the guitar is perfect. I might buy a couple more there are a few they have that are not listed on their floor because there is only one or two like the Bird of Prey. The good news is they bought Diamond and will be producing the line sometime in the future!
Could be worse... I ordered a "Shadow Silver"... and got some gold thing! No obvious damage, and playable other than dropping the action a bit...tuning stability could be better... but it's going up for sale.
B stock means the box was shipped and came returned after opening, where I buy at. If there's anymore (nicks, dings, etc), they note it and add pictures of it.
The Diamond guys smallprint pretty much said they inspected a few of the container, saw enough to reject the whole lot and blow them all out. They're not inspecting every box or noting specific faults with each guitar - it's a potluck game what ships to you. It could be faultless, it might not.
A headstock ding is very minor, as long as the rest if the guitar works and isn't damaged and unplayable. This particular Diamond guitar looks like a BC Rich copy, or could it be somewhat of a subsidiary brand?
The little chip isn’t a big deal and i like the finish that you got a lot better than whatever that color was on the website. I think I’ll call it “vomit flame”. 😂 all joking aside, that’s a cool guitar for $150. I may check them out too.
Love the killer headstock. That guitar would've looked 10x better in all black compared to that wannabe sunburst. I'd love to have one just to keep in D standard.
I have learned my lesson with B Stocks. I have bought several in past from multiple complanies because I thought it would be a great way to save money. Well in the end, the blemishes drove me nuts after awhile and I always wished that I had just spent the extra money to get a perfect instrument. If a guitar is going to have wear or blemishes, I would prefer if I put it there myself. And having a scuffed or imperfect top just annoys me to no end. I know I am in the minority here. Alot of people don't care.
@bacongl I'm with you, I never bought a B-stock from a company, but I bought a 2nd hand guitar from a friend, once. It was an Ibanez S, I knew it was a fine instrument (if it was new), so I tried it. I just played it for a few minutes, so I didn't really notice anything wrong. Later, at home and after changing strings, well, I started to see it does not have the sound I was looking for, the pickups and trem were a little rusty and, overall, I couldn't get very comfortable with it, so I sold it again to someone who changed a lot of things. Now, I shop online because I have to (in Portugal the stores have almost no stock or variety available, so they have to order, and in the end I pay more, so I prefer ordering myself), but only new instruments from good companies like Thomann, or cheap stuff from Aliexpress, but never bought used again. The only good used gear, in my opinion, is vintage stuff, but it's totally out of range for me, I can't afford it. But I also see that sometimes, even very expensive guitars or amps have some big issues too. It's like Dumble amps, is it made with gold or diamonds ? I see clones that sound equally good for 1500/2000 $, new ! I know Robben Ford has one, but the amp doesn't make someone play like him 😅. And he never looked for the amp, it was Dumble himself who asked him if he could make (and sell) an amp for him, you probably know that story.
Hard pass on that B-Stock...I would buy a build yourself kit before I bought that one...I did buy the new Fesley FST1000 Ghost series in sunburst about 2 weeks ago and its absolutely amazing for $304.00 to my front door...The specs on it are truly amazing and it came setup ready to play out of the box with an actual inspection/quality control card hanging on the guitar...Way to go Fesley!!!
I'd fill, glue, and clamp the headstock. A little sand down after the filler, a little shot of shellac on the spot and you'll be good to go. Definitely not the color listed, maybe therefore the B-Stock. Looks like the headstock was damaged in shipping.
Got the same one and it has no flaws. But yes that color sucks wish I would have grabbed the red or blue. Most likely selling it, I gotta look cool while playing lol
I can walk into quality plywood hardwood store in Spokane, Washington for $60 and buy a plank of Maplewood. I choose the grain. I'd rather build my own
When they were DBZ and Dean Zalenski was there they made good guitars now that they are Diamond and Mr. Z left they suck but Mr Z is working on Dime Guitarz 😁
Man...T...H...A...T......T...O...N...E......sounded good! However, I'm not a fan of sunburst guitars. Too bad you got that instead of what was advertised.
I bought one around 2017. It was amazing, still one of my main axes. Perfect frets, made in korea, active EMG-81 and 85. Bought one during the pandemic, it was a joke. The company had been sold to someone out of Chicago. I ordered the Monarch EX Ice, it was literally green. Worse tuners, worse fret work... total hassle trying to swap it since they have a no return policy. Never again - totally different company. Got a different guitar in the swap, literally gouges in the fretboard from the attempted fret dressing, finish was nothing like the 8 year old pictures from the website. Ended up selling on reverb just to get half my money back so it wasn't a complete waste.
It definitely didn't sound like a b-stock when you picked it up and started playing it! 🤘
It sounds pretty good

Man, the way you play makes every guitar sounds great! 🙌
So this is really a World Music Supply guitar. According to their website: "We bought the diamond guitar company during covid and had to move factories. We got a container shipment that had too many issues so we are leaving the factory and liquidating the entire order at fire sale prices."
Wow Richard this is such an awesome guitar review I love it. Shred on dude.😃👍❤️🔥⚡️🎶🎸
Great Demo there brother...The Guitar Sounded pretty good for B Stock
got about $100 off my b-stock sterling cutlass and the only blemish i could find was a tiny scratch the size of an eyelash on the neck plate. good deal!
Good review man! Very informative 👋
Thanks! Glad you liked it.

Tune in to next week's live stream. I might make it available.

Only red Barchettas are cool.

I think Metal Dude was partying earlier on the day this video was recorded.

Sell it. Watch the next live stream for details.
I'm here to say, thanks for sharing a great video.
Thanks for watching

I don't know what to believe but I think it sounds pretty good from here

How low can you lower the action before fret buzz
🤘
Love the killer headstock. That guitar would've looked 10x better in all black compared to that wannabe sunburst. I'd love to have one just to keep in D standard.
But, is the quality consistent from one guitar to the next? that's the question with the brands you never heard of.
What cross roads and what offering?
I have learned my lesson with B Stocks. I have bought several in past from multiple complanies because I thought it would be a great way to save money. I thought it was well balanced and I wonder if it was the title or the thumbnail that drew the trolls last time.
Who knows. Let's see if the trolls show up tonight. They like to comment in the middle of the night.

Fesleys are great.
The tip of the headstock is "reliced" not b stock.
LOL! Relic the hell out of it and send him an invoice 😂
"I wont be hanging onto this one for long"
Is that a giveaway I sense? Or giving it to a friend?
Haven't decided yet. Might sell it.
@thebaldshredder fair enough man 🤘🏻
For 70 dollars more I can get a Firefly or a Westcreek guitar that blows that Fake Diamond axe!!!?
Is this a re-upload or am I having some deja vu?
it is a re-upload
for 50.00 more you could get a firefly that blows that out of the water.
Sounds good quite clear in the runs appreciate feedback on my original guitar compositions and artwork new post coming soon
I'd fill, glue, and clamp the headstock. A little sand down after the filler, a little shot of shellac on the spot and you'll be good to go. Definitely not the color listed, maybe therefore the B-Stock. Looks like the headstock was damaged in shipping.
A little wood glue and a clamp to set that torn wood back in place should help a lot with aesthetics. Maybe a dab of filler...
every guitar in guitar center is b stock but sold as new.
It’s Freedom Rock, dude!! 🤣
Got the same one and it has no flaws. But yes that color sucks wish I would have grabbed the red or blue. Most likely selling it, I gotta look cool while playing lol
Yeah the color blows.
If it's not a brand name guitar, I don't even mess with it..
I can walk into quality plywood hardwood store in Spokane, Washington for $60 and buy a plank of Maplewood. I choose the grain. I'd rather build my own
got a tobacco burst when the pic was maybe a tobacco flame top..seriously dude thats like false advertising..lol
When they were DBZ and Dean Zalenski was there they made good guitars now that they are Diamond and Mr. Z left they suck but Mr Z is working on Dime Guitarz 😁

Brother you could shred a kazoo 😂
You can make a pile of poo sound good brother
You got the wrong guitar completely 😮
theres no way metal dood knows how to read 🤣🤣🤣
He can read the menu at Taco Bell
@@thebaldshredder gotta get that baja blast😅
Tried to buy a diamond once, Horrible guitar and the bridge pickup didn't even work. No reason for anyone to buy one of these
No way dude, I bought two of them, and they are great! Maybe you just got a bad one send it back and get a replacement

No. Not $3000. No.
More China junk!!! Leave it alone! Buy a squire at least you know it will play!!!
You don even provide the website link to the guitars. Terrible channel.
Have You heard of Google?
Even Metal Dude was able to use Google. Apparently this guy can't. lol
mmmm no
Sad to say... you flushed $149... 🎸💩🪠🧻🚽
