Thanks for posting trip. This is very helpful as you mention the names of all the villages and also give personal observation how everything might go. Very helpful a few days before I start my trek. Keep hiking. Jack.
If you’re thinking about travelling to Nepal and would like to join Ram and I on a fun and learning adventure. Please contact me: gotrekking@basapete.com or Ram: mountainramadventures@gmail.com Our next trek is the Manaslu Circuit Trek. Plans are being made for April 2014.
Great video! Langtang seems like a very challenging trek with beautiful scenery. Your guide, Ram, is very good as he able to detail the history of the villages and people who live there. Interestingly, I met Ram briefly last year in October 2012 just before I went on the Poonhill trek. He was sitting in the lobby of my hotel in Kathmandu and was quite surprised when I called out his name even though we haven't met yet. But I told to him to that I recognized him from your earlier Annapurna video.
i sooo love this..and am envious--i pray i cud as well experience such--nevertheless this made me feel as tho i was there..iTHANKGOD for all the videos you let us watch..GODBLESS and have more please..with ram!!! ;')
ive been waiting for this video! Apart from your chest infection seems as though it was great. some wonderful views . Ram has organized my trek to Manaslu in October! Looking forward to it very much!!! Keep an eye out for my video in November. My 14 year old will be my camera man, will be interesting! He has been practicing his filming here in Oz, he is quite good actually.
Pete, thanks for posting this video.... too bad you were under the weather. I'm a fellow Canadian planning on doing this trek and coincidentally have chosen Ram's company to guide me. Did you trek alone with Ram and a porter? I'm assuming you did. I will be trekking solo and I am 57 and in reasonably good shape. My only concern is trekking at over 4000 m altitude.......any comments? I've enjoyed your Nepal videos; thanks again for the great info and photography. I bet your gesture of placing prayer flags for your friend's father was appreciated. Doug
+Doug Steets Thanks for your kind words. Ram and I have trekked together many times. Early on in our adventures it was just Ram and I, but lately it's usually Ram and I and a porter. On some of our treks we've taken guests with us. That's always great fun! My advice for trekking at high altitude is to go slowly, slowly, slowly... Give your body plenty of time to build more red blood cells. You'll need them in low oxygen. Good luck on your trek.
+Doug Steets Thanks for choosing us. We will make your trip unforgettable. By the way, have you sent us emails ? If not, please email us at info@mountainramadventures.com , It will be easy for us if you book trek in advance so we can make all your documents ready when you arrive in Kathmandu.
what a well informed trekking--with all the names of mountain.. villages (even the history) plants\flowers..the elevations..hours of trekking..everything..(courtesy of the brilliant "sweet" --according to u-- guide and owner of mountain ram adventours) and even the sound of ur breathing which tells me how it is to trekk out there (no need to ask 😝😝😝)--an amazing video of hardship joy..adventure and fulfillment..I PRAY I CUD DO THAT TOO huhuhu 😪😪😪 ..i pray next time show us even ur eating and sleeping time..the foods even the hotel rooms please..IF U JZ WON'T MIND PLEASE..COZ that's even sooo interesting for me..GODBLESS u all..u ram and nichal also 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
Thank you for your nice comment. Trekking with Ram is a lot of fun and an educational adventure. My next Nepal trekking video will certainly include more detail about life on the trail: meals, accommodations, transportation, etc... You can go trekking, also. Mountain Ram Adventures makes it very easy. They handles everything. All you have to do is walk.
Lovely video . How long does it takes to reach Gosaikunda directly from Kathmandu including bus and the trekking part . We're about 5-8 friends . Is it possible to go there without any guides .
Hi Pete, fellow Canadian here who is also planning to do the Gosainkunda trek this year. Would you recommend Ram? Does he still act as guide for these treks?
Sameer Ahmed I highly recommend using Ram. However, he spends most of his time now organizing treks for his company, Mountain Ram Adventures. The guides he sends on the treks are registered and very well trained.
+Basa Pete mr i am a fellow neplease who have been roaming these hills since a long time ago and from my experience what your guide mr ram says just changes everything that our heritage and value stands not meaning to offend you and your guide but he actually makes up a lot of stories on the moment well that praying stone never was a praying stone and it was never placed there before 100 years at the time of tibetian invasion which we never faced ohh and by the way that is something like a cemetray and no om mane pembe shit were written there he doesnt know how to read them lol and lama ppl didint came from tibet its a status given to a monk or a sub caste in two of our major ethnic group and a lil advise from me to mr ram if he doesnt knows sth then honestly cope it dont make up stories tht will mislead other ppl well that's it
+Jack Sparrow. Nice name. You must be a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean. Me, too. Thank you for your comments. Sorry, but I don't quite understand some of what you said. However, the local historical information in this video was confirmed by several old men in the Village of Lama Hotel. The rest of the historical information is recorded in Nepalese and Tibetan history. Sorry about your confused on the Tibetan invasion; Ram was referring to the Chinese invasion of Tibet.
+Basa Pete yuss me a Depp fan yeah, well i dont want to discuss more on mr ram he's just way too shady thats all well i dont want to create a confusion but if u do place ur trust on him m shut still i dont buy his local legends cuz i've been there n i found his info mostly spiced up n sugar coated well nevermind that's my opinion anyway still thanks for visiting nepal do come time and again.

Hi there. I'm interested to do your itinerary too! Looking for something price-friendly too so may i know how much did you pay for this whole itinerary? ;)
If you're looking for the total cost, flights, hotels, meals and everything, I'm not exactly sure. The flight from Halifax, Canada to Kathmandu, Nepal was around $2500 CND. I never added it up the rest, but maybe I spent a few thousand dollars for everything else: hotels, meals, ground transportation, trekking, etc...
The camera is enslaved to the dialog. Without gazing around, you could be standing anywhere, regardless of the irrelevant zooms. The camera is stable when talking faces fill the screen, but is shakey and almost treats the landscape as incidental in the paucity of terrain shots.
Don't know where that blond girl's from but she's not Australian by birth judging from that accent. Sounds more kiwi or like an English transplant to Australia as a child.
I didn't return to Nepal, a medical issue kept me at home. If all works out for me this summer I plan to be in Nepal later this year or early next year.
17:00 it looks like he was explaining in the picture.. n it looks like very near of them.. awesome...
Thank you so much for booking trekking with me. I promise you for your great time in Nepal and trekking. Looking forward to seeing you.

Sir ,You are lucky that you found great guide Ram . Coz some guide can't speak english.

We did the trek in April.

What month did you do the Langtang trek?
did you have to cook up some snacks before arriving at tea house? it seems that the hike takes at least 5-10hr between tea houses. Do you get hungry?
We all carried plenty of snacks and we also stopped at tea houses every day for lunch.
Thx for the video (Y) GREATTTT
at which date of year you visited this area

how much did you pay for porter for a day?
Don't know. He was included in the trekking package. My guess is somewhere around $15 - $20.
Hevean is here in Nepal

I'll ask Mel the next time I see her. Or maybe she'll see your comment and answer for herself.
Langtand village is destroyed in 2015 earthquake !
The destruction of Langtang is tragedy beyond description. However, like all great people they are rebuilding.
Basa Pete Hey Barry, didn't you visit Nepal this year as you told? I was waiting to see your new video upto everest base camp.
I didn't return to Nepal, a medical issue kept me at home. If all works out for me this summer I plan to be in Nepal later this year or early next year.
