6:00 dumping all your charges is definitely important on OK to bad ping. With the 2 charge cap you WILL overcap if you don't weave at least 1 (possibly two) of each. But if you weave every heatblast you will clip your GCD too much for all the hits to get in during wildfire.
31:30 do ANY of the ranged actually want SKS? Maybe BRD I guess? I wish there was a toggle for SKS, like... you have to put up with it being on gear but you can switch it off lol
@Scerttle i dont think so? Machinists hate it. Dancers due to standard step especially don't like it, and I don't think bards care for it either - which made it funnier that there was a huge amount of skill speed on the initial ranged tome gear if I recall correctly 😂

I plan to remake all of my job guides. Until then, my gunbreaker starter guide and 61-90 guides should cover most of the levels. I believe the new lion heart combo replaces the triple burst strike in the two minute burst, and sonic break can be pushed to later in the burst too, so that could work in the interim before I get around to the job 😅😊

Optinal battery gauge use to make sure you have 100 battery for two minute bursts is so cursed ive had to sit down and run through my rotation for 6+ minutes just to practice the timings for it.

I will eventually get around to it 😅 but below level 91 the only change to the job is the addition of eukrasian dyskrasia, which in broad strokes mean that you should apply that in an aoe situation instead of applying eukrasian dosis to each target. Above those levels there's of course psyche as a new attack to use on cooldown. And you also get philosophia as a major cooldown at level 100 to deal with sustained raid wide damage for example 😊 Aside from these things, my latest endwalker guides for sage should at least help you to level 90! 😅
Direct hit damage has been 25% for as long as I can remember at least off the top of my head, which should mean certainly back to shadowbringers, but probably also stormblood! No worries, it shouldn't change much about your perception about the stat I suppose! 😁 Thank you!
I never cared for the 'tool' for machinist when it became a thing... I did recently come across a mod that I like though, 'Oops all snipers'. Changes out the tool animations for the pvp limit break effects of a sniper rifle.
Oh I understand, it was just that I could imagine sometimes having that same animation play 2-3 times in a row would look silly! If it works for you that's what matters! 😊
Why do you recommend using air anchor as the first tool of the opener over drill? Unless mistaken either way results in the same dps, or am I missing something?
Air anchor generates battery, drill does not. So getting its cooldown running sooner is often more beneficial. Letting drill wait a bit also has a very weird roundabout result of allowing you to land two drills inside raid buffs more easily. Air anchor going first also signifies it as a clear indicator of the start of your burst 😊 But as long as both are used regularly and kept their cooldowns spinning the power difference is probably reasonably small if you really really prefer drill first 😅
the math around "effective potency" gets pretty ridiculous pretty quickly but as Cae said, the battery makes Air Anchor a higher priority. Automaton Queen's damage is crazy, especially once she gets Crowned Collider, so 20 battery gauge is worth nearly 500 more potency on top of the base 600 (assuming you spend that gauge before the fight ends)
That's the worst 😰 If you really want to try it anyway, once you can hold 3 charges of them, if you use hyper charge right after getting them both fully spent, you could perform five blazing shots without wasting any of the ogcds. That would of course not be optimal, but it would be playable for I'd imagine most content 😅

Heat blast does less potency than drill, clean shot and at low enough level even hot shot, and reassemble is effectively a percentage gain, so bigger potency = better! Auto crossbow is either same or less potency than spread shot or scatter gun, so you simply don't need to use it on auto cross bow, OR it is straight up worse again, potency wise. And at high level, chainsaw is better too 😊

Tbh, you might as well use richochet on the boss or a single enemy pull since you get them back so quickly
Indeed! You should be using both ricochet and gauss rounds on any kind of target. It just so happens ricochet also has an aoe component as a bonus! 😅😁

The rules change so often it’s hard to follow. Some kind of chart or graphic to show what the cutoffs are and how they change with level would be nice

Why not use reassemble before heat blast or auto crossbow?
Heat blast does less potency than drill, clean shot and at low enough level even hot shot, and reassemble is effectively a percentage gain, so bigger potency = better!
Auto crossbow is either same or less potency than spread shot or scatter gun, so you simply don't need to use it on auto cross bow, OR it is straight up worse again, potency wise. And at high level, chainsaw is better too 😊

Personally because of double check and checkmate I feel like auto crossbow is useless in aoe and using blazing shot is better to use those ogcd aoes
