- Turn a broken piece of dollhouse furniture into an abandoned treasure! I have this piano from Bespaq that has some damage, so instead of refurbishing the piano, I am going to make it into a gorgeous abandoned project. I will also be featuring an abandoned dollhouse that perhaps may be haunted as well, we will Tiny Whitney figure that out for us!

See you there!
I am definitely trying this paint technique! I've tried getting a crackle finish with Elmer's glue but it didn't work. Now I see what I did wrong (I let it dry, painted it too thin etc)
Tiny Whitney is the best 😅
Yes you have to really lay it on thick and make sure the glue is tacky but not dried when you add that paint! Some areas were a little dry and they didn't crackle as much as I wanted.
Cool
Thank you Agnes! Hope you had a great week!
Love these techniques you’re showing! Love the little critter tracks on the table! 🤣
Thank you Michael! These are fun techniques and they really work for this sort of style. It’s also fun to work with cause they fullers earth feels good
Very cool!
Thank you Kathy! I appreciate you watching. :)
Looks great 👍
Thank you love! Hope you have a great weekend! :)
Brilliant xx
yay! I'm happy you think so! See it wasn't too scary!
Hi hun xx🎉
are you ready to be scared...just kidding..its not scary!
@@WhitneyLaBrie I was ready you just never know lol 😆
@@jojosmumdorothy2829 very true! 🤣🤣
I think you and Tiny Whitney just revealed the secret to those Zak Bagans style reality ghost shows , wind and paper towels 😄👻Piano looks great , I didn't know you could buy the Fullers Earth in small packets . I'm going to pick up a pack and give it a try , outside of course for best ventilation . Thanks for sharing your technique .
I'm laughing so hard right now cause I am such a fan of the GA show! It's so funny and I always question the "compelling" evidence but I want it to be real at the same time! lol! Yes try the Fullers Earth...walnut nut too is great..but I had a hard time locating it in small packets..and I didn't need 50 pounds ya know!
This looks great! Your inspiration pictures were beautiful and this definitely does them justice! It wasn’t too scary, but I did jump when I noticed the giant spider 😳 Hopefully Tiny Whitney got away safely😂
Tiny Whitney is small but quick! lol
Those photos were so cool...I wanted to travel the world and find the actual locations...oh if only I was a millionaire...I would just travel all the time!
@@WhitneyLaBrie I always think about that when I see those pictures of a gorgeous abandoned chateau. I would just love to go there and walk through those spaces.
@@jenpink4298 oh for sure! Me too. So many beautiful places in this world
Nice job on the piano. The house itself is great as it is- someone will love it.
Yeah this house is fabulous…I don’t need to touch a thing….time and neglect has somehow made it perfect!
This is a great video.
Tiny Whitney is super cute as always❤️
But most importantly,haunted paper towel.
I have rolls of haunted paper towels,as that is their nature,to be haunted.
Charmin,the quicker picker upper…of SOULS
bahahahaha! I use Bounty..as in it has a bounty of spirits within it! You are too funny.
Well, yeah, soul sopping brand loyalty,we all got our preferred vibe,I get it.
Also,a slight correction:
This is not an appearance of Tiny Whitney, your little mute homunculus, this is actually YOU,shrunk down, presenting the video!
Way to get small,Whitney, keep it up!🥰
@@charlesperez9976 yea this is the first time she spoke….I was torn between just having me shrink or tiny Whitney talk…lol….there is quite a blur between the two of us and also her actual size as she is often different scales! 🤣 🤣🤣🤣
Ha!
Either way, there is a lovely little Whitney,be it she or you, however teeny tiny.
It is always a thrill to behold, truly🥰
@@charlesperez9976 thank you for always making my day
I learn the neatest things watching your videos. I had no idea Elmer’s glue and paint layers would crackle. That’s so cool!
Yeah and if you use a hair dryer to dry it, you can watch it happen before your eye! It’s so cool!
@@WhitneyLaBrie i had no idea
Fun video as always! I haven't tried this technique before but it was interesting to watch.
It works and it’s fun to use! Plus you can make a face mask with the Fullers earth! So you can make minis and have a spa day!
Love this technique!!! When my Parents moved none pf us could take my Baby grand Piano ive had since i was a child. I lived in an apartment that it wouldnt fit in. I often imagine this happened to it. Although i know someone moved into the house after them and loved it.
Ive had a similar experience as a kid with a tree house I built one summer with my cousins. I've often wondered if the next family kept it up and used it or if it fell into an abandoned and dilapidated state...hopefully it remained loved but who knows.
That really turned out nice. It truly looks like a photo of an abandoned house with seriously dusty piano. Your visions are always so cool with just enough silly and just enough darkness. Thank you for sharing your technique, I will be able to use it in my castle, part of it is lived in and part is abandoned/falling down. I had to be able to have all the fun in one project.
I love the idea of an abandoned castle that is also partially still lived in! How fun! Yes I love being silly (obviously) lol and of course miniatures...so I try to bring both to my channel in hopes we all have fun together. :) That dollhouse is so cool...it belongs to a friend of mine that acquired it from an estate...she let me borrow it cause I love it so much the way it is, so I wanted to do a project and get some good pictures of it before sending it back.
I really like what you did with the piano. I will have to redo the piano in my abandoned room.
I’m so happy you enjoyed the look enough to redo the one you have! This is a fun and easy way to get this look and I really likes working with that Fullers earth.
This was so unusual and fascinating to watch. Love the way it turned out. You are crazy talented! 😍✨
thank you for the compliment! This was a fun project and something I wanted to do for a while. I tend to be drawn to the darker miniatures although I love so many different styles and looks. Really I just go with the mantra "does this bring me joy to make" and if it does, then I go with it!
Very cool techniques! Fantastic!
I’ll have to tell you the story behind the grapes…..ghostly
Wow. Great video creation. You sure are talented. ❤️
Thank you! I love creating abandoned pieces, especially if they are already broken items that I can salvage in some way!
How have I never seen this before? Very remiss of me! I will lock myself in my art studio as punishment 😉😂. That crackle technique looks like a good one to try for sure, I always thought you needed special paint stuff to get the look, but my inner cheapskate is thrilled to know I can use stuff I already have lol. Thanks Whitney
@@nessiemonstercrafts don’t punish yourself, I forgive you! Lmao. Yes years ago I saw this lady make a sign for her wall using this technique and so I thought I think this will work for minis and sure enough!
Hope your holding my hand now lmao 🎉
I'm for sure holding your hand! lol
Love this! I will definitely give it a go for my haunted dollhouse 👻 I’m thinking of using this technique on the floors…like dust piles in the crevices of the floor 🥰
I love that idea! Walnut dust also works (it's darker in color), however, I was unable to find it in smaller quantities like the fullers earth ( I don't need 5 pounds!) and so I used that, I loved the way it came out and you could for sure use it in the crevices!
@@WhitneyLaBrie Thanks for the suggestion!
I love how this came out! Again - you crack me up... the paper towel moved on its own lol. I've never seen this technique, but it really looked great! Where did you get the "abandoned" house?
The house was part of an estate purchase. It doesn’t belong to me. I’m just keeping it for a little while 🥰
Wait...did you iust make crackel with elmers glue and water..did I see right!?! I Love the abandoned scene..and those pix..your right something about an abandoned place..whenever im on the road..I always call those places or everytime I see an old abandoned gas station .."what use to be" With a sigh.. there goes what use to be😊 I could always feel what was once there. I love that feeling!
This came out so amazing love the foliage and the omg im watching your wed haul as im commenting and I need that washer!! Im Running to hope its still there and I can afford it!!! 😂😂 Adhd moment!!! See what happens when I cant watch my favorites as often🤣🤣
Ok, back to this piano. I love it..and the critter prints are brilliant!! I'll have to try some faux dust..all of the dust in the Josephine house is real😂🥰💖
You are too funny! LOL, yes much of the dust in my Garfield is real too! I think the washer is still there if I'm thinking if the same one..metal vintage? It's so cool!
@Whitney LaBrie Miniatures yes ..I just messaged your IG 😆🥰
