The traction control can be fully disabled. Car needs to be fully stopped and you need pres and hold the traction control button until you get the notification that it is fully off (5 sec.)
Just not the greater mesh around it, the teeny tiny little slot on the side you're right. I was referring to the greater mass vent that doesn't allow flow through.
The car has a touchscreen, wired Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Additionally, it does not compete with an M3, RS4, or AMG C63. Lexus (in their easy to find documentation) positions the IS500 against the M340i, C43, and S4.
I would argue w the displacement and the location in its product stack that it’s an M3 competitor which is further demonstrated by it’s sales numbers. Lexus can position it but it’s my hot take. The infotainment screen truly is dated and most brands left wired carplay back in 2018. It’s a hot take but I stand by my review all day.
@@CarJuiceYT Your hot take is simply incorrect. Interesting how you’d place your ‘hot take’ above the manufacturer’s press release. Displacement notwithstanding, the IS500 is not an F car. It doesn’t have track focused brakes or any additional oil or transmission cooling. Things necessary to aptly compete with the M3, RS4, or C63. Therefore it is designated, by Lexus, as a F Sport Performance. The point of the car is a fun daily drivability in every mode, that is not the case with the F products like the RCF.
@@CarJuiceYT Wait. The premise was a comparison with the upper echelon of sports sedans, which was incorrect from the start. By the other comments, I think the mark was missed. But any way… 🙃
its not. but its likely more emotional than m3. if you are fine with going from point A to point B 1% slower and want 20% more emotion, this car is likely for you
definitely not in the same league as an M3 , didnt know about the BMW drapes or curtains, most manufacturers to call them anything special and we need to work on the term..." Peter meter " I know it has a ring to it ,but still sounds a little off.

It is a straight m340i rival and priced as such. Not an M3 competitor.
@@2ZZGE100 thanks for the comment
The air curtains are functional, there are slots in the fender liner.

This is not an m3 killer nor is it intended to be.
I think it’s a decent m340i alternative for something more distinctive.
It's a M340i killer, not M3. It's in the mid-performance segment, and it's priced as such.
@@yousef.al-assaf Amazing. This information is all over the place.
