Hi Stacy! Congrats on 1 year of being cancer-free! That is such great news, my friend. We CAN do this. Even if it's 30 minutes a day - at least we are doing something. I had gotten way too lax on exercising and eating, and the pounds kept creeping on until I was at a 45 lb weight gain! I'm starting at 183, and I'm 5'1". I'm doing this to be held accountable and inspire other women like us to get up and move :) Thanks so much for commenting! 🥰🥰🥰
@@AngieHernandez365 thanks for being an inspiration 🌸 I started doing my rebounder at 5:30 am and when I’m done my coffee has brewed and it’s time to get my 15 year old up for school. 😃 looking forward to following your journey ❤️
Thank you so much! I’m considering getting one of those new walking pads that are becoming popular right now. They’re so much less bulky than standard treadmills and can easily slide under a sofa, which is really convenient! My current treadmill is in the garage and soooo heavy. 😁😆
I really think it so great that you are out walking. I walk in the house or do things like parking far away from store when out shopping. Don't beat yourself up . Stay positive. One day at a time. Stay blessed 🎉
Thank you so much for the encouragement! I love how you find ways to stay active throughout the day, like walking inside or parking farther away-such great ideas! I really appreciate the reminder to stay positive & take things one day at a time. Sending blessings your way, and here’s to supporting each other on our journeys! 😊
Good Job. I love the quote "the toughest lift you'll do all day is your ass off the couch" and you did that! So good for you. If you can find one of those selfie sticks it will make filming yourself easier I think. I have subscribed and will come along for the journey 😊
Thanks so much! I love the quote 😂😂😂 And, you’re so right! I guess it’s time for me to step up my game and get that selfie stick-I'll feel like one of those pro content creators in no time! 😄 Thanks for the tip, and thank you so much for subscribing! I’m excited to have you along for the journey!
Definitely! and yes - gotta love the sweet pups 🥰 Very needy and clingy but wouldn't have it any other way 💖💖💖 Have a great day! Have you walked this morning already?
It’s amazing how the weight just slowly creeps up on you. I gained weight during Covid and still can’t lose it. Just remember that our bodies are meant to change. Being healthy has nothing to do with weight. Keep on keep on, you can also break up your walks into two or three times a day, you don’t have to do it all at once. I wear a Fanny pack all the time, I keep my phone in it, so I can track my steps.
You’re so right-those pounds can sneak up on you out of nowhere! 😬 Covid really threw us all off, didn’t it? But I agree, health is so much more than just a number on the scale. And breaking up walks throughout the day is such a great tip-I love it! That would actually be easier on my body since I'm just starting out. ❤️ As for the fanny pack, I joked about being that “cliché 50-year-old” rocking one, but honestly, they’re very functional (and hey, they can be pretty stylish too)! Thanks for the encouragement-let’s keep this going together!
You are starting and thats the best. Take two 20 minute walks a day. 1400 calories or less a day. Protein with each meal. 5-6 meals a day. Stay away from high calorie dressings, etc. You'll lose weight quickly and feel good too!
Thanks so much for the encouragement and helpful tips! I’m definitely focusing on making steady progress & listening to my body as I go. I'm glad you reminded me about protein - I've been wanting to figure out my macros but am just so confused. I’m excited to keep moving forward and sharing this journey with everyone. Thanks again for your support! 😊
You too! We're finally getting our roof replaced tomorrow after Hurricane Beryl so I'm trying to get in the mindset of having a crew here all day tomorrow - but so grateful that it's finally happening. TTYL!
I am cheering you on! I just started a youtube channel myself with a similar walking challenge! We women over 50 have to stick together and support each other!
Good for you Angie🦋 I am 1 year cancer free and working on losing the 30 lbs I put on during cancer. Love and hugs… we can do it!! 🤗🌸
