The death of Jon Snow was not bad writing or poor decisions from the director. It made sense for the story. We may not like it, it might make us furious and sad but those were the consequences of Jon helping the Wildlings. Just like Rob and the Red Wedding. I thought it was a heartbreaking and beautifully done scene. I’m glad you guys are continuing the series, I really love watching your journey through this amazing show!
I think if you believe that Jon is going to stay dead then yeah you'd view it as bad writing because Jon Snow is the only main character connected to the Wall and knows what's happening with the White Walkers who are framed as the biggest threat. If Jon stayed dead for good then yeah it'd be poor writing so him coming back makes sense.
@@DeterminedFC it would be realistic, but from a story perspective it would be dumb because it would kill that entire storyline unless Jon was replaced with someone else. When writing you have to consider more than just realism.
@@hali_55 not true at all..realism doesn't equate bad writing unless yu also think Ned dying was bad writing . I don't wanna post spoilers but it would have been better had he died here in retrospect since his plot arch was never realised in the way it was setup Additionally Sam has been past the wal and back as other characters have too
@20:29. I think i split my rib on that yelp 😂💀😂💀🤣💀😂💀😂💀😂💀🤣💀😂 Also fun fact with Arya…those are contacts she is wearing. So yes she had to learn how to move as a blind person. Just as she learned to fight left handed. The show is just as original as the actors physically portraying their characters 😊
I keep forgetting that this channel doesn't have hundreds of thousands of followers. Y'all are some of the greatest reactors on the platform guys. I'll be here to see 100K soon
Red woman saw the girl in the North, saw Stanis fight at winterfell and saw fire surround it. Taken out of context she interprets best she can. Every sacrifice give her power in her jewel to use and extends her life. Lord of light has a reason for that. So glad you are still here!!
Oh Mair, that jump out of your seat! 😄 Witches are most often depicted as the old crone (a lifetime of knowledge, also scary), but they also have devices which can make them appear as a young maiden (beautiful, fruitful) to just go about their day without being persecuted, and they use this disguise as well to deceive and draw in a target. Milesandre removed her choker with the red stone as she was looking in the mirror...when she wears it she is young, and when she is working her magic the stone glows.
The thing w Melissandra is kinda like physics. Some are more legit and better than others and more accurate, some just aren’t as in tune with the prophecies. She legit thought she was serving the lord of light. But she made a genuine mistake in her interpretations that cost everyone a lot. Though she did crazy stuff she genuinely thought she was serving the will of good and light. That’s why she seems sad, cus she’s struggling with her faith and questioning her purpose. Kinda sucks to be here tbh lol
Please drop episode 2 asap and I’ll leave it at that! I love y’all both so much! For me this is the best season of the show. It’s a roller coaster! Absolutely enjoyed y’alls reaction and commentary. Theon has one of the most interesting character arcs in the show.
Season 6 is the one with the most highlights, at least for reactions. i can't wait for 6x4, 6x5, 6x7, 6x9, 6x10.....at least 50% of the episodes have something big (at least big for me)
I think you guys forgot that Drogon is injured. So even if he could sense that Daenerys was in danger, he wouldn't be able to save her yet. Melisandre's necklace keeps her youthful. Once she took it off, her true form showed.
Dorn never knelt to the kings in kings landing. They were the only ones who didn't. And that was a female, Queen Nymeria. Thats why she said he was weak and that Dorne would never be ruled by men again.
Quite a few details were missed here. Melisandre isnt looking for power, she serves the lord of kight truly. Also, she never needs to sleep and shes never cold because of the necklace. Shes removed it, lit a fire and gone to sleep because she believed that stannis was the prince that was promised and has given up.
The Red Woman does have true visions. She just misinterpreted the meaning & significance. Based on her own wants. Yes there is an Azhor Ahai/Prince that was Promised. But Stannis is only the first of 3 she calls that. Imo, the third she named as AA/PTWP was just a ploy to get that character to do something.
Mair said, "Arya's been through a lot..." lol yeah dude she's been through a lot in the one minute prior to you saying that she just got beat with a bow staff all while having no use of her eyes. I had to laugh. Saying she's been through a lot, while correct, seems like quite an understatement. Sansa has a brutal arc. Arya's always seemed the roughest to me though. Younger Arya looks JUST like my daughter of similar age so when I watch Arya suffer it makes think of my baby suffering and it just bothers me so Arya has always been my girl. "Kali Stark" is even one of my girl's nicknames though she's best known as "Kali Westside" lol.
I don't know that all of Dorne agrees with the Sand Snakes. They didn't really take a poll lol they just acted unilaterally. The Dornish seem much more normal than most of the Kingdoms. They at least "don't mutilate little girls". Well, except for Illrya haha.
The unmarried paramour to the brother of prince of dorne claiming power does not seem like a smart idea considering all the great houses of Dorne would jump on the power vacuum and seize power themselves. Like House Dayne, Hellholt, and Qorqyle all would try to seize power under the name of punishing those that murdered the prince of dorne.
Girl! This is GOT. They don't do all that rightous death" nonsense. To be fair they were just at war with the Wildlings. None of them have seen the White Walkers. Why would they NOT feel betrayed?
S1-5 were all based on the books. So even Jon’s death was based on the George R.R. Martins original vision of the story. S6-8 is all from the “writers” and are not based on the books because that’s where the text ends. But S 6 is good. Buckle up.
Stuff like this always bothered me deeply, making the show 100% unrealistic in its normal scenes, which was never a problem in earlier seasons that were book accurate. Its easier to suspend disbelief about stuff that relates to magic such as walkers and dragons honestly, however it is NOT, when it comes to simple human survival. Sansa and Theon should be dead after walking through that frozen river's waters. Plainly and simply dead. No human can survive this. You die few minutes after. You can't just continue on your way like its nothing. Your body does not let you. Its just how it is. Which begs the question, wth is going on in the showrunner's heads? Did they even consult any experts on this?
I always thought it was so odd how Sansa and Theon were shivering, Sansa couldn’t even speak, and the Brienne shows up and it’s like they weren’t on the brink of death a minute before.
@@hali_55 Yup and to add even further assault to injury, Sansa had to recite the whole speech to accept Brienne to her side, while she was dying from cold. lol. Then she got "magically" cured apparently and its all forgotten business, let's go on a trek once again.
15:43 There are many Dothraki Khals & Khalasars. Drogo did not rule them all. These are not former members of her Khalasar. Yall got close then missed the mark on Melisandre. She is a SERVANT of the Lord of Light. She isn't out for self/ power, she's just following her faith and is as confused by what happened with Stannis as everyone else. No one in this show-- ok scratch that-- VERY FEW characters in this show are just good or evil-- like real life. They're mostly just people attempting to people as best they can.
ok, I know y'all have already finished the show but still: why do you still keep doubting brienne? why do you think they need to be rescued? brienne is the rescue.
@@jesses5463 I don’t think the plot points are bad per se in seasons 7 and 8 but there was a very noticeable decline in quality when it comes to the writing. There are still a lot of gems though so it’s worth watching (imo anyways)

Sophie! Sophie! Sophie! You are a goddess! Mair...as an out and proud gay man...I NEED to express just how gorgeous that woman is sitting there next to you! OMG!!! 😳🤩
Jon dying being labeled a traitor is fitting, since that's how Ned died. Honor and loyalty killed them both in the end.
