u got it right, its actually 7/4, so its like to “miss” 1 beat, starts the phrase 1 beat before, sounds sooooo cool
edit: it’s because the last and the first note of the riff is the same note
1,2,3,4,1,2,3.
There is a Pink Floyd track the studio version of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V) and a second track "Shine on You crazy Diamond (Parts VI-IX) these are long tracks 15 and 13 minutes long but they will take you to a place I can't describe and it is worth the time. Trust me. But do the studio versions and start from the very beginning so you don't miss even one note. It's a good one I promise you it is true..

Unfortunately this album "The Dark Side of the Moon" is a little tricky because each track transitions directly into the next and themes follow. So u can get awkward cuts.
But if you can do:-
"Time" followed immediately by
"The Great Gig in the Sky"
(guest vocalist Clare Torry)
Or
"Us & Them"
Idealy you should hit the album up as
Side A & then Side B but I get that's hard for a reaction video.
And yes.... The best is still to come!

the main part of the song is in 7/8 time .... the exception being where the guitar solo is... Gilmour said he couldn't figure out a 7/8 solo, so they did it in 4/4 time.

So I always thought that this song was a sellout because it wasn’t kind of like their other ones but since I’ve gotten older and I listen to it on these reactions and here you guys pick them apart I heard it in a whole different way and it’s really really nice I love that y’all do these reactions it keeps me occupied, but it also takes me back and lets me hear a lot of music but I don’t get to hear anymore so thank you for that✌🏼
