Magnetic sliders are quite a new thing ...and this is my take on one. It's proven to be hugely popular (which is always nice :-D). - Развлечения
If you are thinking about getting a fidget clicker/slider, this is the one to get. Magnus fidget sliders are currently the best in the world. You can click and slide in multiple ways, not to mention the grooves and ridges on the slider act as a worry stone. The craftsmanship is top notch and it is reasonably priced too. Some sliders costs alot more and yet can't even separate the plates. I currently owned 3 sliders from magnus and its worth every penny.
AGREE 100%. Just got a toad from a reliable seller and it's unbelievable. Truly world class craftsmanship. Can't wait to see what else he designs!
Super cool breakdown of your musings and process of development. Awesome piece
Just ordered mine! Thank you!
I love your design and approach magnus
Thank you. I appreciate that!
Possibly the dimples give room for the stuff that gets in there to go instead of just always grinding into it. This cleans it and makes it run smoother (on top of the less friction as you mentioned). Neat.
This is very informational and cool to see. Thanks
Love the progressive view of the different models. One with half round thumb depressions on the four sides might give you the X shape you were thinking about.
Classier than a fidget spinner, and that click!
Thank you James. Yeah, there are a few variations I'd like to have a go at over the next few weeks/months.
I just purchased a Toad Magnus. Super excited to own my first slider!
I’m thinking of buying the toad too. This will be my first slider as well and I’m wondering if this is the most popular one. What do you thing of yours? Is it actually as satisfying as spinners and fidget toys?
@@Bradmhj I’m pretty sure it is the most popular one. The most unique looking slider in my opinion. I’ve had mine about 2 weeks now. And yes. I love it. And it really is super satisfying. The magnets 🧲 are strong, witch is what u want, so the pieces don’t fall off too easy. Only downside is sometimes debris gets on the plates which makes it feel scratchy, but just use some packing tape on them to pull it off. Go for it b4 they sell out!
Always great to see Magnus uploaded a vid! Love the work and would love to see more about your business and products and thoughts on life.
Me too! Let's get back to regular uploads, please? Even if it's once a week, or once a month. I'd love to see what's going on in the life of Magnus. Glad to see you're doing well.
Cheers Ben. I'll see what I can do. Business is still challenging ...but getting there (so hopefully more time to do videos).
@@lucashipkins I want to do them too! I'm really hoping to get back to them soon (but I have been saying that ....literally for YEARS! :-/)
These look so awesome! I tried making my own DIY version which will do the job until I get my own.
Can’t wait to get mine!
...and I'm looking forward to making it and shipping it too you. It's win:win. :-P
looks so sick, wish I could buy one 😩
thanks for showing the progression
Always a good day when I see another cool idea brought to market by you... well done. Such a fascinating gadget. Can we see some of the CNC machining of these being done?
Hey Ian, hopefully soon. I plan to do a full CNC video (hopefully in the next couple of weeks).
Now you've got me wanting to try making a slider. Maybe I'll model something up since I have a unique idea. I'll definitely send you a picture if I get around to it.
Yes, super curious Jonathan. Would love to see it.
Really love your work but I'm tied between the Toad, Grenadier, and the Ridge. Do you have a video that compares them with sound? The grip on the grenadier looks crazy.
for some reason I love bead blasted on bead blasted. its reaallly gliding smooth. love this tho, want to get my hands on some!
Very cool, order placed :)
Awesome. Thank you Jake!
How long will the preorders stay up? I want to get one, but probably won't have enough money until at least July. =)
Not 100% sure. A few more days anyway. I've ordered the titanium ...so I now have limited numbers (so unfortunately probably cant' keep the pre-order up indefinitely).
Have you considered using ceracoated titanium?
Everything shows to be sold out on your site? Any plans on future production?
They use dimples on some race boats to reduce friction and f1 racing cars too
How do I get into making these ?
What is your cheapest slider and how much does it cost?
Is it as easy to grip the new grid slider? I just ordered one, I wasn't sure if I'd have any issues since there's no "thumb slot. I'm kind of stuck with it at this point, just concerned it may not be as easy to handle, I don't have anything to compare it to though.
The magnets are not too strong ...so you should find it pretty good. Let me know if you have issues though.
@@MagnusMacdonald I just wasn't sure how it would handle with the shape being different, thank you for the response though :)
Truthfully, it's not as grippy as the Toad or Ridge. But have a play with and, if it's not working for you, give me a shout and I'll see if we can sort something out. 👍
This video is a few weeks old now, any update on that X shape proto one? I'm waiting for it as I like it more than the toad.
I hate to say it but I think you may have missed it.

I'm not sure how often he does restocks or anything of the sort, but I would get on his mailing list if you aren't already.
I love the X
I still enjoy your fidget sliders. I cannot get enough… Do you have any blemish or second hand sliders you’d let go of?
Before u start What is it used for ?
It's a fidget toy. Kind of like fidget spinners from a few years ago. Just for sliding and clicking in your hands.
Magnus Thanx for your time explaining !
Hi can you make stainless steel with brass so that we can afford one thnx.
What does the toad in Ti cost?
It's on his website but currently sold out. It's marked down from $247.00 to $187.00 though. I think all of his sliders are on like a *permanent* "limited time" sale, so I'd say $190.
@@user-md3is4dq2d marked down lol 😆
How can your stainless steel be magnetic?
I think it's the chromium content that determines if a stainless steel is magnet or not (but could be wrong).
@@MagnusMacdonald oh, so you started martensitic steel. Which alloy did you try?
I want it :)
Hello, do you accept custom titanium request? Im interest, not large quantity, just a hobby thing
Wait, is this the guy who spent ages making a metal fidget spinner after loads of them were already made and when they went out of fashion? Thought so
That's me!
Still no free will?
Absolutely not. The more I think about it (and I've been thinking about it more over the last two months). No one has it ...but we all think we do.
You have really nice Products! But iam not likely the one who is spending that much money on this =/
BTW Do you sell me the Pebble? under 100€ iam in!
Can you remind me what the pebble was again? It sounds familiar ...but my memory is kind poor sometimes.
Darn, I thought it was an ice cream slider. 🙂 I like it, though.
Bad for your teeth. :-P
The most expensive 10$ aliexpress gadget i've ever seen
AliExpress doesn't have heart, soul and pride and a community to listen to input from the customers.
@@zadraking For this price, I'd rather buy 5 packs of Nanodots.
Sorry Magnus... Looks like great quality as always, but hugely overpriced like all your stuff!
You get what you pay for!!
@@beardeddude2759 Indeed, if your willing to fork out the dough!
I don't really think it's overpriced, it is expensive but for this to be worth his time he has to charge something, it's not like the materials he uses are cheap by any means. You can see he puts a lot of time into RND aswell, so you're really getting the best of the best. $250 is expensive, but expensive things tend to be expensive if that makes sense lol
Massively overpriced too
I'm about to raise the prices further actually. 😐
