I had the fortune to attend the final repetition as well as the actual concert in the MPH hall. It was inspiring and great to hear and see these two flutists Andrea Oliva and Hristo Dobrinov work together with cordiality and good humour. The conductor Naohisa Furusawa is also an excellent guidance and worth noticing in this and other performances. The only drawback of this You Tube is the lack of attention for the excellent bassoonist and the grainy quality that has been published of this superb concert.
There is no performance more interesting and intriguing and captivating and moving and beautiful than their paramount performance Their stellar performance soothes my grumpy soul FromTokyo And this clear sound is off the charts
With my new orchestration of the concerto indeed I gave big part to the bassoon that originally isn’t there.I am glad you have noticed. However the filming is as always out of the performers hands. If you like Alexander’s playing, there is a video of both of us playing on my chanel. Hope you’ll enjoy it seeing him there
@@vonirotsi Thank you for this information. I first heard a Quantz flute concert in 1980 and there was never much recorded to listen to. I have always wanted to hear more and this is a great find. No hurry at all, but what else did you do in your re-orchestration?
@@edwardhoward5525 my reply is late. Sorry for that.I basically reorganized the complete score with better voicing and also gave separate part to the 1st and 2nd violins as well as bassoon and cello different functions in the entire piece supporting the structure as needed to give both flutes slightly different colors.
Maravilloso este Concierto de Quantz para dos flautas traviesas!!! Al igual que la interpretación!! Gracias por compartirlo!!! Saludos desde Argentina
A beautiful and great recording! Very well played! I like it very much! Thanks for uploading!
Quantz is one of my favorite composers with super melodious ideas. Thanks for uploading.

absolutely Quantz to a T orchestra and soloists answering each other- just delightful.

Baroque perfection ❤
Когда слушаешь такую прекрасную музыку, ты на это время находишься в другом измерении жизни,где нет войны и горя.
❤ Браво!
This wonderful performance is picturesque
La musica è il più bel sogno dell'uomo.
beautiful!
Can I use this for my video?? I'll credit you! Thank u!
Please do so. Thank you
Listen. And compare to the "charts" nowadays. You will immediately understand, that something in evolution went completely wrong at some point...
It's a shame the bassoonist is almost permanently out of picture. He provides most of the continuo and makes a great sound.

Andrea is such a Galway wannabe. At least be a Rampal wannabe.
