    1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
    1 1/4 c ap flour
    1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    (for those of us who do not buy self rising flour)
    1/2 cup milk
    8 Tablespoons melted unsalted butter
    10 oz (2 cups) blueberries
    1/4 cup sugar to sprinkle on top
    Mix, sprinkle berries on top, sprinkle sugar, bake 35 minutes, 350 degrees F.

    I made this, but I only had frozen blueberries. They sank to the bottom during baking -- I suspect I needed to sprinkle them with some flour first. Didn't matter though-- it was still insanely delicious. Thank you, Lawman! OM NOM NOM!

    For all you complainers LISTEN to the video, it GIVES YOU the recipe! Measurements for the ingredients,time and temperature. You just have to rewind a few times to write it all down as he is making the dish.

      Yep. I started complaining to myself when I went to their website & they wanted to send me newsletters before they’d let me view the recipe. Then I just did as you suggested: rewatched the video while taking down the whole recipe in “Notes” app. Simple. Took about 5 minutes. It reads as though it’s going to be delicious! 😋

    Follow up. I made this a couple of days ago and it is amazing and so easy! I bought a little tub of ice cream for the first time in over 20 years to top this and it was worth it! Problem now is that I can't stop eating a spoon or two of the vanilla (with seeds) ice cream I bought! lol!

      I have. You can use either fresh or canned. If you use canned drain off the juice or syrup.

    So easy and perfect for all the fresh summer berries and stone fruit coming. Will be giving this a try with lemon zest and maybe a pinch of salt in the batter or using salted butter. And, yes, by pausing the video it was very easy to write down this simple recipe. Good grief...

    A little trick someone taught me: a tiny pinch of espresso powder or instant coffee powder in cobbler batter really makes it pop. Serving it with whipped cream and a cup of black coffee for a fall morning? PURE bliss.

      @Ozzie-in-CT That is indeed Margaret Thatcher (likely still Roberts at that point), food chemist. Before politics and the law, she graduated from Oxford with a degree in chemistry.

    I had no idea that the sailors eventually got soft tack. I guess it's the infamy of the hard tack took over.
    Regarding self-rising flour, I've never had much luck with it, even fresh out of the bag. It just never seems to rise as much as when I mix the ingredients in separately.

      There are lots of different recipes online for making your own condensed milk. I haven't tried it myself, but I think I just might.

      Sweetened condensed milk (aka condensed milk): A product invented in the 19th century to prevent children from dying due to consuming tainted milk and used as field rations during the US Civil War. Made in a basic process that likely hasn't changed significantly (other than with the use of better equipment). Contains sugar and milk. So processed...

      Condensed milk is quite thick. The milk is likely to help thin out the batter. 🤷🏼‍♀

      @@johnbartholf777 ATK has another version - Texas-Style Blueberry Cobbler - that uses all-purpose flour, sugar and milk. Chalk this one up to as solution to a "Condensed milk? I don't even remember buying this!" situation.
