    Mobile is adjective in the phrase not a noun, mobile phone, means something that can be moved from its place.

    Got it.. everything that is modifying the head gets the name of that phrase.. "was walking" is a verb phrase with the aux "was".

      A dog and a big bone. Of course a big bone is part of a bigger structure, I mean found a big bone that is a verb phrase

      It's noun phrase because it's telling more about noun(the old shoe)...An adjective phrase tells some more about adjective(very excellent,way too high)

    Sometimes, meaning could be different eg. A book of magic : it gives me a sense of a book that contain magic trick or how to do magic, magic description and all that. A magic book: the book which possesses magic, if you get it you will be able to do magic like you have magic stick

      Just the bath is a noun phrase which is part of a bigger structure that is in the bath. In fact in the bath is a prepositional phrase and all prepositional phrases are made up of a preposition+a noun phrase

      Adjectives are not obligatory parts of a noun phrase and also there are cases where determiners are also omitted for example in the sentence books are useful the word books is a noun phrase that has only one member I.e. books that is a head without any modifiers
