    Amazing! Grisaille segment was perfect and beautiful, but I was particularly awed from 1:34 onwards because that is my own stopper. How long to wait for every glazing layer to dry? How long did it take to go from finished grisaille to finished color painting? ¿Hours, days, weeks, months? Thanks!

    • @MINCHEN-QMIET
      @MINCHEN-QMIET  2 месяца назад +3

      I'm glad you enjoyed the grisaille segment! Generally, I would wait 24 hours to several days for each glazing layer to dry completely. The exact time can vary based on:
      Thickness of the glaze: Thicker layers will take longer to dry.
      Type of oil used: For example, linseed oil tends to dry faster, while safflower oil dries more slowly.
      If you have any more questions or need further information, feel free to ask!

    • @MINCHEN-QMIET
      @MINCHEN-QMIET  2 месяца назад +12

      For glazing, I use linseed oil and stand oil. I specifically choose the Liquin Mediums for its quality and performance in achieving transparent layers

    how do you know what color to glaze over? it seems like the color you use in the glazing looks nothing like the color that results from it. or maybe the time lapse just makes it look like that

    • @MINCHEN-QMIET
      @MINCHEN-QMIET  2 месяца назад +4

      Start with warm colors for your first layer of glazing. This can create a vibrant base that enhances the overall warmth of the painting.
      Follow with cool colors for subsequent glazes. This layering technique helps to balance the warmth and add depth. There will be a tutorial demonstration available soon!

    Grisaille is black and white? Of black red and white?

    • @MINCHEN-QMIET
      @MINCHEN-QMIET  Месяц назад +2

      Using ivory black and titanium white is a great choice for creating a rich grisaille effect. Ivory black provides deep shadows, while titanium white offers bright highlights. You can mix these colors to achieve various gray tones and create depth in your artwork. Enjoy your painting!

    Sorry for the dumb question but do you mix the staining colours into gesso ?

    • @MINCHEN-QMIET
      @MINCHEN-QMIET  2 месяца назад +1

      It's not a dumb question at all! Yes, I often mix staining colors into gesso. Specifically, I typically use acrylic Burnt Umber and Ivory Black to create a toned ground. This helps add depth and richness to the surface before I start painting.

    These techniques I've been looking for, thanks for sharing your video.. Did you mix linseed oil and stand oil for glazing grisaille?

    • @MINCHEN-QMIET
      @MINCHEN-QMIET  2 месяца назад

      Yes, I mix linseed oil and stand oil for glazing my grisaille. I typically use about a 1:1 ratio, but you can adjust it based on your desired drying time and finish. Using more stand oil will slow drying and increase gloss, while more linseed oil will speed up drying.

    Hi, May I share the most important thing ever before with you? Abba Father sent His Holy and sinless Son (Jesus/Y'shua) to earth, to be born of a virgin.He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days.Abba Father raised Him to life, and He appeared to people and went back to heaven. It says in the Holy Bible in John 1:12
    "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you sincerely, receive Jesus today -as your Savior and put your genuine faith in His blood and in Him for salvation?

    J’ai mis un pouce vers le haut car le fini donne un rendu magnifique.
    Cependant, pourquoi faire une vidéo où il es techniquement impossible de suivre étape par étape, donc ce n’est pas dans un but pédagogique.
    Pourquoi n’avoir simplement pas exposer cette œuvre réussie sans l’inutilité d’une vidéo qui n’apporte rien d’autre que l’exposition (?). 🤔.
    Je suis perplexe.
    Je réitère, le rendu est magnifique car l’ouvrage relève de techniques maîtrisées 👌.
    Mais pourquoi faire une vidéo en mode rapide , c’est quoi le but?
    Je n’ai pas compris.
