Summon does NOT trigger battlecries, and the 3 mana 5/5 won't deal 5 damage to you just to clarify. The "whenever" tag says that
You should do more Reynad plays, the viewers enjoy it, you seem to enjoy it more, and I don't think you lose that many views

napalmmissle yeah, I don't know why people are saying this is bad. Blizzard is basically saying you can go first and get two coins. You can turn one play a three drop and win the game
The way I see it is that Rogue's early minions are crazy weak. The scenario he talkedabout, where Rogue plays Si early on isnt even all that good. Sure, you grabbes tempo so early, but now you ran out of stuff so early whch makes you rely on topdecks. Plus you always have the duality problem that it can double up as card draw and a combo initiator. Rogues usually have the problem that they get heyvily out tempo'd early on where they can't recover (see Hunter, Mage and Shaman) or they get severely out value'd (see Warrior and Shaman) and this coin doesn't allow for either of those problems to get fixed. i find myself hating every matchup but Priest and Paladin because Rogue just can't keep up. It will make the class better, no question, and I love that they finally embrace the combo aspect of Rogue, but I'm fairly certain Rogue is gonna sit in garbage tier with Paladin for now.

Huge fan of videos like this, Reynad. They're by far my favorite of your content. It's great to see honest perspectives from someone who has such great reads on the game.
I love how Reynad makes up all these hypothetical scenarios in his head, his explanation why Counterfeit Coin will, in his opinion, by completely bonkers was so insightful.

Inkmaster Solia may seem mediocre but way less so when you consider it's snergy with kazakus, which you'll be running in any mage reno deck anyways. Getting kazakus' 10 mana spell off for 7 mana + a 5/5 is quite a powerful play.
Krunschy The more I think about that combo the less sure I am about it, how often are you risking taking the 10 mana spell without Solia in hand?
In Reno Priest and Warlock, all the time. Reno Mage seems like it's the weakest of the three, but if it does work, I don't see why 10 would be any less viable there.

Michael Maynard - I haven't been following HS for a while now, was this a shot at someone specific or just a random meme?
If you live in the EU, events and releases don't push out until a couple hours later... This applies to patches, expansions, events (tavern brawl)

Drakonid Operative is one of the most busted cards ever. I got 2 rags from a Warrior in one game, and like, there were no bad options from it at any time I played it. It's a freaking 5/6. Card is 10/10 good.
Cool Review and the reason why I like his reviews over some of the others already happened at the first card.

This man understand the OP Rogue. Just wait and see. If not Jade Rogue taking off, then for sure Miracle is going to be stronger. The only benefit going second has is having The Coin, and now Rouge has two of them in their deck.
i think rogues jade cards arent powerful enough to make jade rogue better than miracle archetype, we'll wait and see i guess
Not sure about that. Definitely will have to see what develops. I'm banking on some sort of hybrid maybe, but perhaps that's trying to do too much.
@@tonjolley6422turns out your analysis was spot on. Its 7 years later, coming up on the Year of the Pegasus. IF by some chance you're still playing this game you know that Counterfeit Coin was indeed an auto-include (and would still be played in Standard right now) which indeed helped the Miracle-style decks continue to be competitive. You were also correct about Jade Rogue not being good enough.
Hey I love content like this, it teaches me how to evaluate cards and build decks in better ways! Would definitely like to see more like this :)
Smugger's Run and Grimestreet Outfitter will be insane for paladin in my opinion. Played about 10 games and won all of them in a landslide, the buff deck is insane.

Way to go for making the lotus petal connection man! That card is ridiculous.
Really happy Reynad also sees the potential of Red Mana Wyrm. It's a lot more clunky than Questing Adventurer but the pay off is huge. Like Reynad said imagine playing it, coin then conceal and it's a 6/6 and then imagine having a cold blood the next turn to up it to a 12/6. That's pretty huge for not a lot of investment.
questings are there because they allow to get on board early vs faster decks more than for face damage so if you take out both questings you might be in a tough spot at times against some match ups. but if the meta slows down to the point where jade golem druid will be playable i see where your coming from

Playing around with Jade Golem Druid, i've been tweaking it and taking out some of the slow/bad cards.
I made Token Druid.
Its really surprising to look back at this and see how many cards he was off on

You say Knuckles will be played because of good value, but remember Ghazrilla, which most people thought would be insane, but then no one played it.
On lotus petal; I can confirm it saw standard play 20 years ago, though not as much as it should have.
Counterfeit coin synergy :
Questing adventurer :+1/+1 (or maybe even +2/+2)
Edwin : +2/+2 (or maybe even +4/+4)
Gadgetzan: draw a card (maybe more)
Malygos rogue, play spell same turn you play Maly
SI-agent, cold blood combo
Jason Miller Then it's a dead card. It's absurdly rare to be in that situation in miracle rogue
Free mana will always end up being broken. MTG has proven that to be true.

Broken ? I don't know/ I think it's a mechanic that has it's place in Hearthstone
Potion of polymorph is seriously so underrated. Not every deck has some throw away minion to trigger it, and even if so, what ever they play is completely devalued

pretty sure your idea is correct that druid will go the way of the prior list, just adding 2 jade blossoms and an idol, not sure about auctioneer over giants.
Kabal courier is probably the one card IMO from mean streets that has the most mixed legacy, rey ad wrong at the time this was a staple or alt cant quite remember during gadetzan

Be prepared for Paladin being the number 1 class in the game. Soooo much aggro potential. a 1 mana 5/5, 2 mana 4/4. Extremely underrated!

The only review worth watching
Unless your class has a 1/3 or a 3/2 for 1, you should expect to be answering a (potentially buffable)1/3 or a 3/2 with your two drop and use the 1 slot for valuable spells.
Interesting opinion on Greater Arcane Missiles. You're not necessarily entirely wrong, but in my opinion when your opponent is ahead it's strictly worse than Flamestrike.
What's the Priest spell that makes it so your "healing deals damage this turn"? I had the Paladin card that heals you when he does damage and got that spell in this weeks Tavern Brawl.
This created a loop that OTS'd my hero!

Inkmaster Solia gets really insane when you play a 10 mana Kazakus spell with it on turn 7, other wise its just okay. Its prob an auto include in Reno mage.

Nice review, we were on the same page for most cards just not on the coin. I don't play rogue because I don't like miracle and that's pretty much the only viable deck and as for Innervate people just sort of embraced it as a druid thing where "only druid" is allowed to ramp, so getting something comparatively worse in another class feels worse even though it might be better because you can now activate your combo cards sooner even if you go first.
Reynad loves any card that has to do with "cheating mana". I'm not surprised he thinks so highly of counterfeit coin.
Cheating mana is one of the most advantageous effects in almost any game. Even if it's not mana, imagine only sacrificing one monster for a blue eyes white dragon, or getting to cast master spells in Skyrim for less of what they cost, without having to spend perks. Maybe you won't get the references but.... he's right to be excited.

Reynad i want to say that you are right when you say that counterfeit coin is broken, and i want to add since some rogue cards are combo cards, if inervate will exist in rogue the invervate cards will become even more powerfull. I think that coin=inervate if you take in consideration the clases
theres some sort of taunt combo engine now with dirty rat, second rate bruiser and cyclopian horror, not a very good one but its there :P
