They aren't designer. Designer is where it has a logo or brand name on it that gives it all of its "value." ALMOST all the watches he bought(except for the Panerai) are not like that.

I would call buying these watches 2nd hand "entry level".... Verging on bottom feeder. A Rolex Daytona in platinum will run you around $80k here in Australia. There is some boss watches here 2nd hand or not, but i would not be buying 2nd hand to give to execs as gifts, unless the watches have some type of old school cool cache.
Rob Johnson I live in Australia as well and honestly they were entry level watches in terms of luxury watch brands... Producer Michael and Seth as he said aquantances for years, however after this video it really turned into a great friendship. Seth would latter say, this video and the ones that came after did his business the world of good, really pleased for him. I have promised myself that like Adam, when I purchase my first Rolex, I am traveling across the world to see Seth to purchase it. Looking forward to that day.
I have been watching him for just a few days now and he is my new favorite. I just gave up alcohol because of him. I work on music and want to make big moves, so I have been inspired to never touch drugs and alcohol and seeing Micheal was the insiration that made me straighten up! I'm very serious!
I love how Micheal shows and displays his wealth. I think he is humble in a way that he enjoys his deserved luxury and shares the expierneces. And he has a great personality. And his fashion style is unique and mad respect for that, Adam always asks Micheal what he is wearing in a somewhat sarcastic manner, and Micheal has to find a way to explain himself. But also respect to Adam for the cutting and production. All in all I think they are a dope ass team and I love watching their videos.
"please don't drop any of my watches" "we were playing catch with a 5 million dollar diamond the other day in a jeweler".... LMAOOO I bet that man has never felt more insignificant in his life lmao
The watch store guys eyes widened like oh boy when Michael said “I want to start with low end like 10,000, well low end for what I’m gonna buy on the higher end”
Michael is such a brilliant entertainer. He created contents in his sleep, made bargaining look fun. You can see his bets that are by his setup advantageous for him but you go along anyway because he made it fun. You can tell why he's in the movie business.
There's really no feel good factor in this guy's shop is there. The whole place seems a little pawn shoppy. You want a nice atmosphere when buying these things
@@jjs646 used and vintage watches are cool. Here in Amsterdam the shops are beautifully laid out (check the Amsterdam Vintage Watches RUclips Channel). This guy doesn't even have chairs....
SeaJayB space / rent is at a premium in LA, low overheads, better movement in prices, less risk of getting robbed in a more controlled environment, win, win in my opinion! Obviously the shopping experience isn’t the same
Michael is such a generous and kind man and he has a big heart so it’s hard for me to make this comment. Now, I’m not complaining or criticizing him because he is doing such good deed.... but, buying a used watch for someone as a gift seems.... I don’t know....trashy. Also, he was concerned about not getting credit for buying a $40k watch if they checked out that it retails for $29k. Just give them the watch....That Nautilus is the hardest watch to attain in the world and a grail watch for anyone who knows watches. It shows how little Michael really knows about watches. Am I bad or should I just appreciate his generosity.
He's not really buying them gifts out of the goodness of his heart, he's buying their favour. Future deals with those execs will far outweigh the price of the watches. That's why Adam doesn't get a watch.
It's also potentially illegal. He's clearly documenting gifts of excessive value and states that these are to reward them for "deals they will do for him in the future". The UK Bribery Act, for example, is quite aggressive about activities like this...he better be careful about where these "executives" are located.
Dalton Beauregard It depends on where you’re from. In the US, if he works for a big public studio, it’s definitely dancing with danger. If he’s still a UK citizen, he’s also covered by the Bribery Act and it’s definitely illegal!
I think Adam did get a watch.... He might surprise him with one but we'll see. Also I don't think it's necessarily a bribe because he already has done deals with these execs it's more of just a display of gratitude like sending a thank you card. He has a net worth of almost a 100 mil and frequently does million dollar deals with other millionaires. I don't think a little 10k watch he gave them last year is going to affect anything in the future.
He bought quite a few 36 mm's. If he's buying for men, Day Date 40's and Datejust 41's would have been way better. I'd appreciate the gift if I didn't know about watches, but it honestly doesn't take too long to find out about watch prices. Used watches are risky purchases because scratches heavily devalue them. On top of that, most of the watches that he's looking at are older models, which on top of the scratches likely bring down their value. I get that there's a bit of an attempt at flexing for his viewers, but at the same time, he's getting finessed hard and anyone who knows just a bit about luxury watches would know that right away.
@kiwifix Your thinking of a Hulk (116610LV) and a Kermit (16610LV). Kermit is a "classic case" submariner with black maxi dial and green aluminum bezel, a Hulk is new "maxi case" with green sunburst dial and green ceramic bezel.

to me personally he looks like a real shady dealer. What a cheap place to buy luxury watches. The majority of the watches are older references. He said he gives a one year warranty on the watches and if there is something wrong with the watches you just need to go back to him. Only problem is that he is a reseller, so not an official dealer. So if there is something wrong with the watch he needs to go to an AD himself. I would never buy from guys like this. wouldn't feel comfortable purchasing it. And the looks of the store doesn't help either. But this is my personal opinion.
He changes the price at 12:25. He says 32K, then Michael asks him again at 13:18 and he says 34K, then 33K. So Michael just lost 1K. He is just making up the prices, and at the end, doesn't write anything down, or use a calculator, very unprofessional.
Check out the online store. I've never seen a dealer of luxury watches selling so many pieces "Without Box & Papers". Even for a consignment store that's not normal!
Goyomojo Tech he does need to go back to a AD. I’m a watchmaker in a store with a lot of brands. And we have to get a training from each brand and then, and only then we can order pieces of the movement. You have no idea what kind of things we encounter from the grey market. Screws that are loose in the movement, screws that are badly damaged, dials that are broken off and etc... so yeah he doesn’t necessarily need to go to a AD to get it repaired but the reputation won’t be as good as with a AD and that’s a fact.

They aren't designer. Designer is where it has a logo or brand name on it that gives it all of its "value." ALMOST all the watches he bought(except for the Panerai) are not like that.

@@mercsan117 What? Did you read what I said? I said that the watches shown in the video aren't designer. I said nothing about the quality. Designer is a nonsense term that basically refers to something that is expensive because it's expensive/has a brand on the dial, like Gucci or Movado watches. Both of those examples are absurdly overpriced quartz watches that are only bought by people because of the brand. That is simply not the case with Rolex, AP, Hublot, Patek etc. I don't even know what it is you think I said and why you called me stupid.

No, he said they were for external executives

I think Adam did get a watch.... He might surprise him with one but we'll see. He has a net worth of almost a 100 mil and frequently does million dollar deals with other millionaires. I don't think a little 10k watch he gave them last year is going to affect anything in the future.
These three have great chemistry.
This guy gets finessed every shop he walks into lol
He bought quite a few 36 mm's. If he's buying for men, Day Date 40's and Datejust 41's would have been way better. I'd appreciate the gift if I didn't know about watches, but it honestly doesn't take too long to find out about watch prices. Used watches are risky purchases because scratches heavily devalue them. On top of that, most of the watches that he's looking at are older models, which on top of the scratches likely bring down their value. I get that there's a bit of an attempt at flexing for his viewers, but at the same time, he's getting finessed hard and anyone who knows just a bit about luxury watches would know that right away.

to me personally he looks like a real shady dealer.
He doesn't need to go back to an AD to fix the watch... I don't think you know how the grey market works...
Check out the online store. I've never seen a dealer of luxury watches selling so many pieces "Without Box & Papers". Even for a consignment store that's not normal!
He’s Jewish 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Goyomojo Tech he does need to go back to a AD. I’m a watchmaker in a store with a lot of brands. And we have to get a training from each brand and then, and only then we can order pieces of the movement. You have no idea what kind of things we encounter from the grey market. Screws that are loose in the movement, screws that are badly damaged, dials that are broken off and etc... so yeah he doesn’t necessarily need to go to a AD to get it repaired but the reputation won’t be as good as with a AD and that’s a fact.
