      For two races I got penalized for not doing burpees correctly. I did all 30 for each penalty but someone thought they weren’t up to par, but believe me they were hard. Anyway I got top25 in elite at the age of 49, but they penalized me to the amount of 15 minutes. That sucks when you are this old and just trying to relive your glory days and see the spartan elite not doing their burpees correctly and not getting penalized.

      Just read it now doesn’t say anything about the post. If you mean the cut out then that’s the wood where the holds are. (Like the opening in between both top and bottom pieces of wood) they also made an announcement about it when it was first allowed I think Alabama or Jacksonville. Both Ryan Kent and veejay used it noticeably in video and the commentators definitely said it’s allowed.

    Spartan is some of the goofiest shit behind crossfit games. Awful form isn't penalized

    • @Thee_Man_of_Steel
      @Thee_Man_of_Steel 9 дней назад

      @GBHeiser Spartan and crossfit aren't really comparable. Running on a flat track or asphalt surface is completely different than running up a mountain with a max slope of 45% on an uneven dirt trail (or bushwacking with no trail) covered in loose rocks and roots and bushes, doing obstacles that are sloped up or downhill at elevations in Utah that are 8,000' above sea level, crawling hiking and running through potential mud, lakes and rivers, etc. It's pretty difficult to have a perfect consistent form with so much unpredictable terrain and circumstances. There are a couple of series available to watch on RUclips where Spartan athletes and crossfit athletes go head to head. Spartan humbles the crossfit athletes and they grow to gain a good respect for one another's individual skills and techniques.
