We broke the world record and raised the bar! There's a lot more left to give but that's for when the motor Is built.. For now we left the #savetherod tune in it. 4000 to 7300 rpm has a 430 ft lb torque curve will let this engine live a long life.

I have a similar build with 264/260 cams.
The only thing I don't like the type r is a front wheel drive, but looks and power band hands down.
I thought the same till you actually drive one. Better than any crappy sti, golf r, nismo or veloster n

Nice Numbers ! Was that pull done with the factory clutch ? I have 19k miles on my FK8 and planning to go FBO w/flashpro/meth. I was wondering how the factory clutch would hold up to 380wtq once I'm tuned. I'll ask my tuner to cap it off at 380 wtq in the lower rpms. I'm a pretty conservative driver and track on a road course about 1-2 times at most per year.
I might be getting a Type R in the near future and was wondering what most people/tuners list as safe and reliable power for these cars on the stock motor (maybe with upgraded head studs)?

Is this the stock direct injection system? If so good luck running ethanol and that type of power on it. Blew my motor at 490whp.. Lost fuel pressure, went lean, and motor went bye-bye.. like to build up thanks to the DI.. It lasted about 2 months. I hope your's last longer than mine.. I was running a g25-660.
@@TaylorKing1 That's good. At the very least I shoulda went with the Hondata DI upgrade. But you learn from your mistakes. I was lucky enough to get a replacement motor for a good deal. I will be staying relatively stock for a while. Ill do it properly next time around.
@@TaylorKing1 Yo.. which port injection kit are you using? Also, have you seen the ultimate racing intercooler rated for 900hp? If so, any thoughts on it?
What would've prevented your motor from going lean? Could you done it with a fuel pump alone, or did it require different pump, injectors and programming?

I believe you need to try to run the without the air intake and turbo inlet pipe. To really remove the overheating.

Did you change the rods? Some say they bend when you produce >400 ft/lbs of torque.

How far back does torque have to be oulled
All that work and you don't let it idle to temp at least a little. Man I don't move mine until the coolant shows at least one bar. Then I stay out of boost until 155+ on the oil temp. Also congrats on the power.

Lol “stock fuel system” I understand both pumps are the same but from a tuning aspect ur not getting all 600hp from stock hp injectors especially reliably. Still 100% a VERY respectable build. Just felt like that should be stated so people don’t assume ur STOCK STOCK. The low pressure port injectors are easier to manage and helps gets the best from you fuel system made. Respect the hell outa the build tho! Go give em hell
@@TaylorKing1 lol that neither are standard issued stock fuel system. It amazes me how people reference another poor example to prove there’s in someway right. Lol. Again neither are stock fuel supported.

Dope I had an M340i on order after not having an arrival date set for so long I started just looking at what else was out there. Stumbled across the FK8 fell in love. Loan is still approved for 64k from the M340i the only financially responsible thing to do is spend the extra 18k under the hood to void the warranty 😂🙏🏾. Needed a closer tuner gained a sun thanks for the response

Your fk8 is now both port injection and direct injection with bosch Injector? What's the longevity of this set up.
I don't plan to run MoTec on my car but I want to get to around 500whp if not 500hp. What should I add to my car?
