In a world where almost everything we use uses power, this is amazing! My favorite feature is the display. Being able to see HOW EFFECTIVE your solar charging is being at seeing HOW much power it's inputing into your battery, or how much your device is drawing. Maybe it's almost maxing it out, maybe it's barely pulling anything and you can still hook up more stuff and get more use out of the other ports. I'd love to check out one of these!
i have an anker too that i really like but im looking for something a little bigger and newer definitely gonna get a goal zero but idk if i want this bigger one or the smaller one they have that looks like this one i really like the smaller one like this version but i forgot what its called but idk if i really need this big one but so far my anker is doing good
I am a big fan of the yeti line product and the solar panels, but my old sherpa 100 had a replace fuse light on after one year of usage and replacing fuses wouldnt fix the issue, i hope the new one has better quality control.
Kudos for the awesome work y'all do. I don't even have this product but just ordered it and picking up at the Austin store. I'm already a big fan and have a few other products from you. Looking forward to utilizing in my Musician/DJ/Photo-Videography work. Thank you!. :)
I have a Yeti 150 along with the Boulder 15 panel and nomad 20. Thinking of selling the Yeti and boulder. Is the sherpa any different, advantage disadvantages? We camp a lot but don't truly use the yeti 150 for what its worth
Mine is no longer able to turn on the AC output. When pressing the the AC output button, the entire device turns off and it won't reboot until I press the power button. Is there a fuse somewhere that might have blown, that I can replace?
I was considering ordering an Omnicharge powerbank. Luckily, this product came up in my feed. After some research, the Sherpa 100AC beats any other powerbank on the market in every aspect, maybe except for the hefty price tag. But I'll be ordering it for next month. Can't wait.
I have a 54.2volt 2A charger for my electric bicycle. Will the AC-outlet be able to handle 108.4 watts or am I out of luck? =) Not sure how your surge-function works. Also... how long would one be able to pull 100W out of a fully charged battery?
So I can charge it over the USB-C ports. Does this mean I can attach a solar panel that has an standard USB output to this device using a standard USB to USB-C cable. And can I repeat that for the second port? Can the device be charged while it delivers current to the output? Are there cables included/for sale to directly connect this to macbooks that still have magsafe power connectors?
You can charge it at 60W but bear in mind it will charge slower than the original 87W charger that comes with the MBP. You'll be fine with this power bank.
Hei, I have a question about the AC port. Do you have a special one made for Norway? because in Norway we don't use that type of AC port which is shown in this video. thanks
I have a question , I just received my Sherpa 100, I love it , I have small problem , To charge my Sherpa 100 from outlet there is 2 c usb to plugin in , first time did not work at all, then I find out you have to go setup switch to output to in put. I did, some how work out good but 1st c soon as plug in starting charging but 2nd one c giving me hard time you have to unplug then plug in couple times trying then start up , just I m interesting is it only mine ? please let me know if you know anything
Hi Irakli, definitely strange the way your sherpa 100AC is acting. A lot depends on the battery level your sherpa is currently at or if you're outputting any power from it. You can also try resetting your Sherpa 100AC to see if the issue is resolved, if you've already done that we'd suggest calling our solutions center team at 1-888-794-6250 or emailing them at support@goalzero.com and they can help troubleshoot the issue you're experiencing or walk you through the reset.
Now, admittedly an OCD person when it comes to "backups" of every type, I have many different "power banks" and solar panels...Although mostly Goal Zero. My place looks like a Goal Zero showroom. I tested the DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone battery against two other types of, supposedly higher capacity, power banks: The "Suaoki S270 Portable Power Station 150Wh Quiet Gas Free Camping Generator QC3.0 UPS Lithium Power Supply", rated at 150Wh and "max 100W, peak power 150W". After a few minutes of charging the DJI drone battery, the Suaoki Shut down completely. I restarted the S270 and again, after a few minutes, it shut down completely. While the S270 has several 12V, USB and 2 110V AC outlets, it does not have a Qi 5W wireless charger like the Sherpa 110AC does, not is it as compact as the Sherpa 110AC or have an informative display like the Sherpa 110AC does. Next, I tested it against a iPrigent "Portable Solar Generator Power Source - 41600mAh 154Wh" which claims to have a 120 Watt inverter output. When I attempted to charger the DJI Phantom 4 Pro battery, it shut down in less than a minute. The iPrigent has a single 110 v output port/receptacle and two USB ports. The input port is a DC 19 volt, 2 Amp socket that charges the unit from an AC-adapter or solar panel. It lacks any "informative display" and simply states it remaining capacity with a series of 4 tiny blue LEDs. Now back to the Goal Zero Sherpa 100AC: It is compact and high quality throughout. For input (recharging it) it has a standard 8mm Goal Zero input receptacle and two Type C connectors, each rated at 60 Watts each. The Type C connector is 2 way so it can be used for input (recharging) and output (charging something else). It can be recharged with a 12v car adapter as well. The Sherpa 100AC has 2 USB ports rated at 2.4 Ams each, and 1 110 volt AC receptacle . It has a wireless Qi 5 Watt charging pad for phones that have Qi compatible wireless charging, as with the latest iPhones and many Android devices and tablets. I used the Sherpa 100AC to wireless-charge my nearly dead iPhone X, which took between 2 and 3 hours and only consumed 22% of the Sherpa 100AC's capacity. I'm a photographer, using drones, Matterport Systems and conventional still and video equipment. I almost "live" on battery and solar power. The Sherpa 100AC is now my favorite all-around device when I need its capacity. For higher capacity demands I rely on the Goal Zero Yeti 400 Lithium and Yeti 1400 Lithium. In my opinion, the Goal Zero Nomad 28 Plus is the most convenient way to charge the Sherpa 100AC when sun is available. When you want remote or backup power, "usually reliable" is not an option. As a matter of fact, I consider "usually reliable" an oxymoron. I have found this Sherpa 100AC to be "reliable" as in "completely reliable", which is what you want. If you're considering a Power Bank of this capacity, look no further and get the Goal Zero Sherpa 100AC. I doubt that you'd have any second-thoughts! I have not been compensated in any way for this review.
So the Sherpa 100AC will charge drone batteries? Isn't it listed as "AC inverter (output): 110V, up to 0.9A (100W max)" output and the phantom charger needs 160watts?
Is this one going to swell up like my first one which was recalled? No one ever got back to me from Goal Zero about how to return it to you since UPS would not accept your method with that paint can and the label. They flat out refused to touch it. I now have that second model that you decided it was time to update from but I certainly don't feel good about it in my home. Plus, I can't find anywhere yet how one just "plugs it into the wall to recharge".
I have rarely used mine. Maybe charged it 10 times. Now it just turns off whenever I try to charge a device using it. The AC power button doesn't turn on at all.
Can you explain the why the difference there is between the USA version and uk version I see in this video it has a 3 pin Port and a 2 pin port in the uk version. ?? ( far right of the solar port )
Hi Frankie, Thanks for your comment. The Sherpa 100AC charges with any of our Goal Zero solar panels using the 8mm input. It also comes with a USB-C cable that allows you to charge it from a USB port.
Hi Caster, Thank you for reaching out! We do have the Sherpa 100AC in an international version. If you reach out to our international sales team at intlsales@goalzero.com they can help with connecting you with the nearest reseller that carries it.
at Goal Zero - Im going to the Best Buy store today and im ordering a Sherpa 100 AC. i already bought the Goal Zero boulder 50 Solar Panel. i want to be ready for another August 2003 black out, last time when that black out came we barely got through it we were rationing water and food and it was hectic. with your technology your going to save us if another black out comes.
Actually the best way to charge your dji mavic drones is via the shripas 60watt USB-C output into the USB-C input on the drone or 3 battery charger because at 60watts is going to be super fast ;)
Hi, Great question, the Sherpa 100AC has a built-in AC output port where you can power your laptop from. The phone, laptop, and tablet industry is moving over to USB-C as a source or charging which is why the Sherpa 100AC includes two USB-C PD ports for this purpose.
There will be larger use of the battery going through the AC port unfortunately. So if you have an older laptop that doesn't have a USB-C plug for charging you'll have to use the AC port for charging. Otherwise if you have a newer laptop it more than likely will have a USB-C PD for charging. We won't be making any adapters to fo from USB-C to specific laptop connections.
not recomendet!, I have a problem with Goal Zero Sherpa 100AC Firmware 3.18, when I try to change it with UCB-C 45 watt charger, it's starting change and after showing O watts in.

Need to get the weight down! 2lb is heavier than my laptop
overpriced for what it is! make the replacement pure sine wave inverter and add more usb c ports and 12v capability. don't care about the plane ready option as all planes these days have power available. let me know when you get one out with those options.
