    "You can mix in any room, as long as you've just used to the sound" ..So true..no matter what PA you get for the mixing, it doesn't matter, if you don't know how ur gear sounds like..

    Want to hear something crazy? Raja's picture of Shpongland looks exactly like a dream I had while listening to Are You Shpongled. There's something unique about Shpongle that makes them the most creatively mysterious band that ever existed.

    Of course Simon Posford is a analog freak.. respect :) But it was expected his whole generation of musicans are truly innovative and very GOOD.. i think it becuase many of them were raised in a time of very original technology whcih also in the end inspiered everyone to to what they do.. now isee noone knows anything anymore about analoge stuff and it makes me said., well well.. i have the OSCar and it all true that you say about it hehe :) cheers

    @astralmir Electro and Simons music cannot be compared.... These are 2 completely different genres which are amazing in their own right. There are artists brilliant in electro and there are artists that are brilliant in goa trance.... You can never say one genre is better than the other just because it has more channels at use... When you learn to appreciate different artists and genres and take something form it, that's when you understand music.

    Hi! I have a Mackie 32 8 BUS with a Presonus Firepod! I see that you can mix with the mackie faders via your computer and I wonder how to do that by recording with my firepod. I just got the mixer and I really don't know how to record with it well, I have my firepod connected on cubase and I want to introduce the mackie 32 8 bus into this, please help me! Thanks a lot!

    @Uvisir give it time, the birth of high quality computerised music equipment might seem like its destroying something but i guarantee that its just the beginning of something beautiful.
    i mean modern psy would be next to impossible to create just on old equipment shpongle would probably be impossible too.
    Its all good :)
    Peace
    Brian

    On Psytrance you have allways more then 5 Channels:-) because its very complex really twisted inside, tons off synthesizers or samples etc in fact its harder too create then electro, house or hardcore for example so, sure it give artists who are good in their music that sounds good too but its easier ...much easier then to create good psytrance and if you make psytrance and you are in the materia you will think hardcore for example is bullshit because you do such a track in 15minutes

    @astralmir you must be joking man! 32 channels is not so much. Check out 7skies youtube channel: more then 100 channels per one progect:)

  • @derubenskanal
    @derubenskanal 12 лет назад

    5 channels are really few...you know psy trance uses tons and tons of fx-sounds & acid that's the reason why it needs so much channels. House is just a different kinda music... And by the way, house is also a pretty old style of music, at least as old as psytrance..
    Anyway I also like psy a lot more than house. But you need to stay fair!
