Why thank you for your kind comments! Kandar was a very special horse and a wonderful representative of a very ancient and endangered breed. Thanks for watching!
This is the most fantastic Akhal Teke fooage, and it just came up on my recommended today. Five years ago I could hardly find any footage of Akhalteke's in motion, but what I saw early on, the jumping and demeanor stirred me on. This has got to be the best, and oneofthe greatest. Thank you for all the work of putting all this footage together. It is truly a gift of the gods. I didn't know there was an Akhal Teke breeder in Virginia. Too bad he was a gelding.

Are there any Akhal takes studs in middle America? I moved from Oregon to SE Kansas and I brought my beloved Akhal teke mare Mulan Bey out of Madras .i like to find a stud for her..anyone know of any studs standing in this part of America
You might be able to find one through the Akhal-Teke Association of America -- they have a stallion list on their web site. www.akhal-teke.org/stallions-at-stud.html Also, some breeders will ship semen. Good luck!
+Walter Panter Hi Walter, unfortunately Kandar was a gelding. However, there is still frozen semen available from his sire, Senetir. Senetir sired several upper level event horses from a very limited number of mares. Phil Case was his owner, and you should be able to obtain Mr. Case's contact information from the Akhal-Teke Association of America if you are interested.
Wonderful horses, I really love Akhal Teke's! They seem to be having so much fun when running around :)
Whew! What a beatuful, scopey stride. This horse is very easy on the eyes to watch.
I could not stop watching. Better than sleeping. I loved horses since childhood but never dreamed there was a horse so stunning!
