If those that inherited this is arguing about this place, they need to Settle their disputes and put this place first and repair it or sell it before it beyond repairing. It’s a beautiful château. The longer they let it go the more costly it will be and it will never get repaired and lived in again. 😢 Happy New Year and may you be blessed with health, safe travels, finances and good relationships the coming year 🎉
Here are mines: Sure, it's always illegal to enter a private property uninvited, no matter what. But I think we can make a distinction between an abandoned property and a simply unoccupied one. For example, the larget building (chateau) in this video is clearly abandoned. No one has been living there in many years if not decades (it's collapsing and nature is reclaiming the building) and it's not gonna be occupied any time soon, if ever. In a case like this, I think it's fair enough if someone enters to film or have a look around (obviously, stealing or trashing the place is never OK, no matter what). In many other instances though, a house is merely unoccupied for a time, the building is in a fairly good shape, often at least the land around if not the house itself is visibly still maintained to some extent, and in this case, it's of course wrong to trespass. Many so-called "explorers" can't tell the difference between the two categories and visit houses where they clearly shouldn't be. Sure, in many instances the difference can be hard to tell, but if it is, err on the side of caution and stay away. At last, if you argue that it's always wrong to enter these private places no matter what, you're technically correct and obviously, I couldn't tell you you're wrong! @@NtanMakapi
Thank You for caring about the place you go to, how you close the doors, show how caring you are! I enjoy your videos! Please stay safe in your travels!
I wish there were some kind of "castle co-op," where volunteers could work to restore these beautiful places before it's too late. In return, they could earn 'shares' that allow them time living in the rescued home on holidays ❤ If I were an heir who couldn't afford the repairs/ maintenance, I'd get very creative rather than combative. Why not create a plan where everyone WINS!? 😊
Some would need to live there all the time to make sure it is not bothered and kept up and lived in all year long. The utilities will be high as well, so it must be figured in. They should need to repair and pay for the utilities so they may need to work outside the home, or some may do that, and others stay and clean and keep it up through the time other are away and working to help pay for it? But the work can be part of the pay too according to the government you would think? But it should be done where it is like a co-op and people need to work together and figure out how to keep it up all year long. Some may need a permeant home, and so some may need to live there and work out for money t help with cost of home, and to help pay for what needs to be done, or have the work they do at the castle be as money ,to pay bills and others who need to leave can pay something to keep it going, and bringing in food they need money, and a way to figure it out. Do they eat 'together when there, and share the food, or each on their own? A 'garden ' put in to help defray cost. Those living there or those in summer months live there could do that garden, they may need a garden house for the Veg to be kept. Too many are just left behind to never be around in next few years and they are losing some big parts of their own country by not working with the people who would be interested world take care of it. They could be checked on once in a while to be sure they are keeping it up, as well.
@carolweaver3269 actually there are advisors to help create a way for the castle to bring on income. I saw one arrange for people who are studying how to do restorative work to come and learn on these castles. Then host volunteers in the neighborhood who want it restored and will put in time to get it done. One place finished out 2 flats to rent and they hosted weddings and even tours. However, the family must agree. Then they could pool their resources for the preservation of the castle. ❤
Super.
It's sad what is happening to this place but it goes to show what greed can do when it comes to inheritance. Thanks for showing all the adventures to us ❤
Hello Maureno and Remon! Wow the travel was amazing for the places you were founded. But the Castle was the best part . I am hope now the restoration keep for more time the amazing place ❤😊🤗. Happy New Year 2024! The best wishes for both
It’s sad that when someone dies, family comes out of the woodwork and descends like vultures. I love that a person your age appreciates antiques. So many young people today only want new and shiny.
I wasn’t commenting upon how they see antiques. Rather the fact they appreciate them. It’s tragic that so many antiques are left to rot, mold and turn up dust. In so many cases because there’s a family feud over the property the property goes beyond repair. Truly if you can’t appreciate that these folks are attempting to document the property and history before it rots away, I would suggest you don’t watch their channels.
Such a great video , loved the five day footage, the directors home i remember distinctly and cannot beleive it was four years back i watched it , wow, loved all of this video and Georges Chateau is one of beauty, the layout is perfect and i loved the beautiful furnishings x
I love your videos. You discover the most interesting places. You are so respectful of the artifacts you find. You explain the houses and their inhabitants so loveingly. Happy New Year from Sarasota Florida.
What a beautiful old castle 🏰. They need to restore it now before it is too late to restore it. This castle is gorgeous. Happy New Year to you and your family 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤

That looks like a great 5 days. Just don't overdo it! I wish you had just stayed with me for another week and we would have found something else to explore, rather than you going to Las Vegas alone. Hindsight is always 20/20, but hopefully you will take things a little easier. I can't tell you what I really would like to on this form, but it might be something more in line with what your dad might say!😂
What a wonderful end for my birthday. You always do such a great job. I hope you had a nice Christmas. Happy New Year. Stay safe and well. Much love . 🍾🥂💖
Hello hello!! 🤴❤ Happy new year dear!!! 🥳🥂🎆 Cheers to another amazing year as an explomer. Here since 2020 and till the last video 🤗 Can't wait to see the videos you will bring to us in 2024 😋 Tbh this is a very nice video, one of your best, one of my favorite and so professional!!! 😍 I loveeed it. Loved the behind the scenes, the photos you put in the video, the voice overs, everything!!! For real so nice! I suggest you to do more like this whenever you have the chance to! Very good job, thanks for putting time and effort in this video. The last castle was the gem of course, looks like a fairytale. Love everything inside of it 🥰 Thanks again for another, great and well enjoyed video. See you next time on the first video of the new year that i hope it will bring you more success, thumbs ups, views and subscribers!!! Bye ❤
This place needs saved! It looks to me like a family member was living there and was forced out due to disagreements and how to move forward. Some may have wanted to sale it. The contents in a lot of incidents are priceless. The 2 clocks come to mind and others. I loved the castle and french antiques are my favorite. If family agree there are advisors available to help them find a way to preserve and show them how to make money to sustain the castle, especially one like this. I am sure countrymen would be interested in it's preservation too. Students learning the craft to restore these types of places and keep them up have to have a place to learn. I surely hope this one is restored and family realizes what is at stake by not coming together. Thank you again for a fantastic explore! I am binge watching and having a marvelous time ❤
Thank you very much for your wishes Leoncio and we are very happy to read you enjoyed this last video of the year. Hope you had a great start of your 2024. Sending you the best wishes from the Netherlands! 🇳🇱😁
Very interesting adventure at the end got to see the complete castle with every left behind, so sad to see a places like this got abandoned, beautiful place indeed and lot of memories, quite a journey to make the VDO thank you very much for sharing.
Loved this video and the way you presented it. Nice little change from the routine. Nice place at the end. Thank you for all your hard work and Happy New Year.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Maureno. This whole video was wonderful, I know not too much going at the other Chateau, But I would have loved to have seen more of it. This last Chateau is beautiful, it's a shame the family is fighting, and not taking care of it. It's not that far decayed, if they would stop fighting, they could save it. Thanks for sharing. Sending good vibes and prayers to you and Remon, that you have a prosperous new year filled with great adventures and explores. Love from N.Y.
Great video! Love how you talk about the places you explore and how careful you are with everything. Such a beautiful place just rotting away😢 what a shame someone hasn't done something to save it. Were you able to find out what happened to the family? I'm sure the locals would know what happened
Stunning Maureno. All locations. Just I expected the bass of the Castle French. I imagine it is too big. Happy and wondeful New Year for both of you whit a lot of dreams to share with us. Miss Ramon by the way.
I'm glad we could see the inside of the castle. 🥰. The mold makes me want to cry. 😪I wonder who bought the castle? I also wonder how many decades befor this castle flls in. ❤
Good afternoon, this is the angel from Brazil, I'm one of the followers of the boys on this channel, I really like all the videos of the articles he puts out, it's something excellent, something wonderful, especially these Castle a
Unfortunately I think that this castle was abandoned because of the "dry rot" ("la mérule" in french), it is a common fungus in France which attacks the house and unfortunately if the foundations are affected it will cost too much to repair it and the house is often unsaleable.
Hey dear Maureno, I had to restfully rewatch this epic video of your amazing five days trip in France. It was very exciting to see these different abandoned locations with still everything inside. - Of course I also enjoyed seeing that beautiful castle from day five the most. Wonderfully furnished rooms with really very elegant interiors! I loved these enormous mirrors with the guilded frames and the beautiful decorative chandeliers. - It was also so very exciting to "walk" in mind at your side from room to room and seeing the treasures they revealed. Thank you, bro, for sharing this exceptional urbex adventure trip. I am of course looking forward to more wonderful lost places documentations coming this year. - Wishing you a very happy and blessed, prosperous new year in good health and filled with joy. Peace and kindest regards from Switzerland.
Beautiful place full of family memories and history the antique furniture photos interesting investigation and location loved the castle great work Guys ❤
That’s is very gorgeous place something I like it about you so delicate touch those porcelain dishes you have a lot education with a lot respect ilove your videos thank you so much for sharing your videos God bless bless at you God bless everyone
I think the government should take these castles and renovate them and make them available to the public to visit this beautiful and wonderful place. It's a shame to see the country's history come to an end and that's my focus
I always hate seeing homes vandalized. Criminals searching for valuables. I would love to have the antiques, but I would pay for them. So sad seeing the pictures left behind.
Mostly because the inheritance tax is super high, the castles themselves are too expensive to maintain and they can't afford it - or the family members can't agree on who gets what.
I enjoyed your vidoes THANK you for sharing them unlike most theae other so call explorers you did a great jobs on the footages and covering all the grounds even though most of these buildings are beautiful carries gorgeous furniture and memories its so sad to see such beautiful things and houses just left abandoned so like you said hopefully someone rescues it from total demolition the mold situation is usually caused by lacking of air not entering into the house moisture and heat equals molds among other things so sad but still hope i guess Thank you once agian I enjoyed this keep up the GOOD work👍👍❤
Thank you for your great work! You progress well in French 😁 Why don’t they install an alarm in such a place? 🥺 maybe they argue about the castle but they don’t protect it?
We have a cloud storage, but when you’re traveling continuously for multiple months and internet connection is not always available or has great upload speeds, it is rather hard to keep on track with the back-up of your content :(
The problem with mansions like this is the cost of maintenance. When taxes were being paid to the owners and land lords. They could afford it. But selling off the land also meant no taxes coming in. And the fortune's dried up. And they are too big and expensive for a single family to wish to live there.
Beyond, I saw that tram in the bedroom! My Gram (who, I called Big Cyn,😅 my name is Cynthia) bought me one of those when, I was green an black gingham. ❤❤✌️
I'm surprised more of these places don't have squatters! I'd be very tempted myself, to clean and repair the place until someone made me leave--and why would they, if the place is being rescued? 😉
If I had money, I would buy a couple of castles like that to renovate and place for the public to visit this beautiful and wonderful place, a couple of castles like that to renovate and put up for
Thanks again for another, great and well enjoyed video. See you next time on the first video of the new year that i hope it will bring you more success, thumbs ups, views and subscribers!!! Bye ❤
Thank you for posting another great video. I missed them
This place needs saved!
I am binge watching and having a marvelous time ❤
tha last video..... the last video of the year nice very nice video Have a happy and wonderful new year

Very interesting adventure at the end got to see the complete castle with every left behind, so sad to see a places like this got abandoned, beautiful place indeed and lot of memories, quite a journey to make the VDO thank you very much for sharing.
🎉❤❤
Dankie Maureno dit was n lekker avontuur. N geseënde 2024 vir jou en Reno
Looking forward to this. I am traveling back home today from coastal Ga. I hope I don't lose the signal. Coverage is not good here.
Thanks for this video. Happy New Year. 🎉
Happy new year to you guys
Magnifique ❤
Great video! Love how you talk about the places you explore and how careful you are with everything.
Such a beautiful place just rotting away😢 what a shame someone hasn't done something to save it. Were you able to find out what happened to the family? I'm sure the locals would know what happened
Stunning Maureno. All locations. Just I expected the bass of the Castle French. I imagine it is too big. Happy and wondeful New Year for both of you whit a lot of dreams to share with us. Miss Ramon by the way.
Finally found time to watch this one. Absolutely amazing places! Happy New Year, Explomo!
Beautiful!! Your videos are amazing and just get better and better . Keep up the great work. Happy new year!
I'm glad we could see the inside of the castle. 🥰. The mold makes me want to cry. 😪I wonder who bought the castle? I also wonder how many decades befor this castle flls in. ❤
lovely sound track lovely documentry thank so so much i adore, love

Another beautiful one! Miss you guys! 💜 Happy New Year! 🥂🍾🎉

Happy New Year, Explomo, i love watching you, keep safe all of you always❤❤❤
I think the government should take these castles and renovate them and make them available to the public to visit this beautiful and wonderful place. It's a shame to see the country's history come to an end and that's my focus
You did an amazing job showing this masterpiece! Love your videos ❤
I always hate seeing homes vandalized. Criminals searching for valuables. I would love to have the antiques, but I would pay for them. So sad seeing the pictures left behind.
Thank You for the great work, I really appreciate all your exploration.🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
I just checked out your site and it is incredible. Can you tell me why so many castles, etc. in the world are just abandoned and no one takes over ?
Mostly because the inheritance tax is super high, the castles themselves are too expensive to maintain and they can't afford it - or the family members can't agree on who gets what.

Happy New Year...
Thank you once more...
Thanks for the awesome video
Love watching your videos ✌️
Wow!!! That was great! ❤
I enjoyed your vidoes THANK you for sharing them unlike most theae other so call explorers you did a great jobs on the footages and covering all the grounds even though most of these buildings are beautiful carries gorgeous furniture and memories its so sad to see such beautiful things and houses just left abandoned so like you said hopefully someone rescues it from total demolition the mold situation is usually caused by lacking of air not entering into the house moisture and heat equals molds among other things so sad but still hope i guess Thank you once agian I enjoyed this keep up the GOOD work👍👍❤
6: 48 I'm prity certain there's a missing carved figurine in the empty alcove,
At the top of this fancy cabo net.
Such alcoves are rarely vacant.
Thank you for your great work! You progress well in French 😁
Why don’t they install an alarm in such a place? 🥺 maybe they argue about the castle but they don’t protect it?
you guys could buy massive cloud storage. you can write off the cost as a business expense . i’m so sorry about the hard drive 😢❤
I'd call that a manoir, not a chateau.
What would you call that?
Given that there are several properties shown in this video, your comment is not exactly helpful.
Beyond, I saw that tram in the bedroom! My Gram (who, I called Big Cyn,😅 my name is Cynthia) bought me one of those when, I
was green an black gingham. ❤❤✌️
I'm surprised more of these places don't have squatters! I'd be very tempted myself, to clean and repair the place until someone made me leave--and why would they, if the place is being rescued? 😉
Hello guys my notifications are on
Happy New Year
Fireman 🔥🔥🔥👍
If I had money, I would buy a couple of castles like that to renovate and place for the public to visit this beautiful and wonderful place, a couple of castles like that to renovate and put up for
What a beautiful treasure! Sad that people become greedy when people pass away
