    Your presentation is very clear, comprehensive and to the point. Well done!
    One suggestion I'd offer is to put links in the show notes at key sections. For those of us who don't have time for longer videos in one sitting it makes it easier to resume. Or, even if we do watch through, coming back later for a refresher on just a certain part also becomes effortless.
    Thanks again for the info. Cheers.

    I have just DL'd and begun learning Cakewalk in order to do voice-over work. Beyond the fact that this is a spot-on and detailed overview, the way you have mixed and mastered your voiceover for the video was superb. It's absolutely clear with no distracting plosives or sibilances, and perfectly balanced with the BG music. I paid particular attention to your recommendations for which plugins to use on vocals, as you obviously have a very good understanding of this. Thank you for being a BIG help in my getting started with Cakewalk!

    Very good as always. On real hardware VU meters, the screw is used to adjust the needle position, basically to zero the meter of any ambient or bleed signals/voltage. I don't remember ever using it. Sort of like in the old days of analog volt/ohm meters, there was a zeroing knob that you adjusted to compensate (zero out) for probe resistance.

    LOL! The small screw actually turns! I would have never tried that!

    Very useful! Thank you for this very detailed explanation. You've answered many of my questions and you've helped introduce some mixing capabilities of Cakewalk that will be useful to me.
    It's content like this that made me a "bell icon subscriber" lol.
    If you don't already, can you cover a mastering tutorial using Cakewalk effects/emulation? If I've missed this, please provide a link and I'll surely check it out.

    Thanks for this tutorial, got quite a bit of information from it. I have a question, if you don't mind. Are you aware of any performance impact of using Pro Channel? I seem to have more audio drops when using it instead of the normal FX bin. However, I admit it can be confirmation bias on my part. Do you have any info on this?

    • @Homestudiosimplifed
      @Homestudiosimplifed  4 года назад +2

      Sorry. I don't see a difference either way. But then, I never really have done any benchmarks.

    Best Cakewalk tutorials! ANy chance to make a tutorial on how to use Sonarworks headphones correction plugin as a MonitoringFX inside Cakewalk?

      As for Sonarworks... notta a believer in that software. I tried it and I have to say, it was lacking. At least for me.

      I do apologize. I have been using this for a long time and this came with the original Platinum version. Evidently anything BOZ didn't come with the new BandLab. However, you can go here and download the same plugin for FREE.

    do I have to download it?

      I believe this was a third party plugin that was not “grandfathered” into the Cakewalk by BandLab when they were bought out. Good news is, it’s free!

    I really enjoy and learn a lot from your videos, however I looked at my CbB software and cannot find the second compressor that you demonstrate, nor Bark of Dog or Panipulator. Cna you guide me further please?

    • @Homestudiosimplifed
      @Homestudiosimplifed  4 года назад +1

      Many of the plugins didn’t integrate from Sonar Platinum into the version that is now Cakewalk by BandLab.
      That said, I still wanted to cover them for those who have them.
      The second compressor is only available in your Bus section.
      As for the other two plugins I included a link to download them for free in the description of the video.

    I become thinking that many of those third party plugins are simply useless. Why should I use them if they are slowing down my computer and they do not deliver much better functionality. I have a lot of all good plugins build in cackewalk and they are at the same time optimized for that daw. I am seriously thinking about deleting a couple of third party plugins.

    • @Homestudiosimplifed
      @Homestudiosimplifed  3 года назад

      Absolutely! If you can get good results without them... go for it! Ultimately, everyone has a different approach. However, it’s the music that matters most.

    • @Darro2017
      @Darro2017 3 года назад

      @@Homestudiosimplifed Thank's for that video I realised that fact after some time but also because videos like Yours. Those cackewalk built in plugins are often decent plugins, at least not bad and they practically don't slown down the DAW in comparison to the third party plugins. Another fact is the more third party plugins will be installed the longer the plugin scan will be performed after runnig the DAW. And that can be annoying.
