Calvin Booth messed this up royally. Zeke and MPJ contracts are killing us plus the fact that they were banking on the young players to step up which they have not. The only way out is to trade MPJ and Zeke. KCP is going to leave. Front Office are completely ruining Jokic prime era.
If Jokic stays in DN his championship window is kind over .Losing KCP this year and probably AG next year it will be hard to make in to PO forget about championship.

My sugestion is free agent J.Alvorado-N.Orleans..26 year old,Rock solid defender ,team player,38% for 3,
4,5 plus on plus-minus index... 75 million ,5 year deal,or 15 million per seaon,...he will not refuse!
And Nuggets get 10 million extra for second playmaker and that is exacly what V.Micic C-Hornets salary is.Great 2 playmaker with years of EL experience ,won trophies ,played with N-Jokic,grea pick roll,solid middle range,great passing... Nuggets need experience on p-maker position,Murray has injuries ,he will miss games ...
I like this. I think we need to trade MPJ and Zeke. We need good role players that fit Jokic timeline. Man this Front Office really screwed this up bad.

I get that his PO performance was not good, but he was a starter with almost plus 6 on index in the team that had most regular season wins in last 20 years...And for the first time he played 81 games... He knows the Nuggets system ,he is healthy ,amazing shooter , ..If you trade him you better have prepared plan because that can be a franchise killer...

Yes. State tax and winter weather difference so can’t blame KCP taking that deal. Also a southern dude at heart (born and raised in Georgia so closer to family & clearly prefers warmer weather than Denver winters.
Need to see exactly what was offered both ways, but sounds like it was either same or a little more from Magic. No Florida state tax regardless makes it less even if identical contracts.
The real question is who will be our 6 man and replace CB.

Josh Kronkie is paying MPJ. Mike makes more sense on this roster, his plus minus would be better than OGs.

Everything started with the contracts when Zeke and MPJ signed new contracts. Das Zeke 8 million-MPJ agent: I want a bigger contract for my player because the difference between Zeke and MPJ cannot be 6 or 7 million. Then this season Jamal's agent comes and asks that his player's contract be bigger than MPJ's contract, because he is the second option and they cannot have 2 million more than MPJ - then they give Jamal 50 million. That's why next year we can only say goodbye Gordon. We are talking about fairy tales and the champion team from 2023 in 2025 will remain with Jokic, Jamal and MPJ, losing one key player each year. I understand that journalists will not speak against the team they support, but what Denver's GM is doing is a disaster.

@@Serenity01871 I am writing about this, when Zeke's contract was increased, he came close to the contract with MPJ, then last year a max contract was signed with MPJ who has major problems with a back injury and his contract of 30-35 million is pure gambling. The MPJ contract automatically affected the Jamal contract, because MPJ came close to the Jamal contract 2-5 million , so this year 50 million is going to Jamal. And four years non-Jokic minutes r terrible, nothing is being done about it. Curry is on 51milion durant 54 if Jamal is in that company than OK, but i m not so sure. We won't be able to trade either MPJ or Jamal next season or those there because of the huge contracts. Nobody wants MPJ now - I read and listened to the best experts in the NBA, no team wants him. The poison pill contract with MPJ is bigger than with Zeke. They rushed the contracts with both the MPJ and Jamal. I got very annoyed and said that I will no longer follow what they are doing with Denver, I only know that they are lucky so far because Jokic has not been injured even once. What will happen if he gets injured and takes a break for half the season? We will not be close to the play off

@@cjp1599 That's a story in itself and I wouldn't be surprised if they sign PG and CP3 by the beginning of the season. The only one of all those stories that can bring Denver a little stronger rhythm on non-Jokic minutes is Westbrook, and that's if the contract is reasonable. First, of course, is to offer a good contract to KCP and publicly apologize for that Calvin interview where he humiliated KCP like the 2020 Lakers. And that would be all from the signing of new players, since we are very worried about the second apron, and Arsenal from London, which is owned by the Kroenka family, spent 350 million last year only on player transfers, not including salaries. Arsenal mostly bought players, and in the last two and a half years, 1.12 billion dollars were spent. They pay the luxury tax in England too, and that doesn't stop them from buying after the end of the season and finished 2 (the title went to the blue part of Manchester). 50 million have already been allocated for one player and there will be more. If they want another title, they can sign two rookies from last season on a TW contract and bring in two excellent players from free agencies on two year contract, end after that go and play rookie players only. U have in the team 3xMVP and you don't use that to place the franchise at the very top of the best teams ever, surround him with the best players, not this regular seson players.

I think the only way we can replace him would be to get another guy who can play solid D and hit a open shot consistently. Who IDK but if whoever it is better play defence....

From my view...the FO has chosen to sign Murray over keeping AG...Holmes will battle Pwatt for PT at the 4...PJ Hall will earn the BU center spot...CB will have a break out year replacing KCP...no interest in MPJ we are stuck with him and with other teams improving we will slip in the WC standings.
