Nice! I like it for programming. I wish they could have left the SD card slot available, but still great for photo editing too with a dongle to replace the SD card slot.
What can I expect in terms of photo editing ? Like capture one and photoshop ? Will it outperform my laptop with an i71280p and rtx 3050? And will my thunderbolt 3 dock work on it ?
Thanks for the review and test on this one, I have the Geekom Mini IT11 intel i5, going by my tech speak- I'm not a pro however very interested in the what's watt and how everything works in regards to pc's. Can you use cinebench to adjust the power output just for the firmware updates and registration of a midi controller keyboard for example, which is all it requires the full power for according to the manufacturer's opinion- details of what I mean exactly are below. Currently I can play COD and most if not all of the mainstream shooters call of duty mw3, black ops, Assassin's Creed odessy, and I'm not a gamer I'm a musician, so vst's, plugins, through DAWs like Ableton and I sometimes use cakewalk to utilise plugins from native instruments huge libraries, My i5 works well with an external sound card the Focusrite 4i4 3rd gen audio interface, with high sample rate, balanced buffer size, but I stick mostly to 44.1kHz or 48khz and have no unwanted artifacts in the audio recording side of things eg- recording a guitar through multi effects processor hardware like the pod go in stereo sounds great! Getting to the point-- the only problem that I have recently encountered with the i5 was when I last week purchased a native instruments komplete kontrol S-series 61 key MK3 midi controller that has its own onboard screen and cpu, for nks, full library browser complete control of parameters of virtual instruments and of daws like Ableton live, basically, no mouse clicking just making music BUT, the keyboard being/meant to be pc/mac/ios bus powered via usb-c balanced data/power delivery back n fourth would (according to native instruments opinion) not fully power the keyboard with the supplied usb-c to usb-c cable because of "a lot of pcs usb chip-sets not even enough to fully register the serial number, it all lights up but no low power message on the keyboard onboard screen, oleg, native are saying, without actually letting ppl know until after they've bought it, that it's the usb-c port chip-sets, and I've tried powered usb-c pd/data hubs, wall powered bricks. If I can get in there and change a setting that I can't via the windows 11 pro usual. Settings then it might be the answer. I'm about 2 days till the 14day refund option expires. I would very much appreciate your advice. Thanks again 👍
Geekom Mini IT13 was the first one. It had heating issues, so Geekom nerfed the i9 CPU. Thus, making it overhyped. Geekom GT13 provided a slightly less powerful i9 CPU and more stylish exterior. Geekom XT13 offered a massive cooling improvement without overly nerfing the original i9 CPU. However, they tried to hide the SD card reader. Even with the hardware attempt to hide the SD card reader, the CPU performance is the best of the bunch due to far better cooling.
Who in 2024 is still using traditional paste? Only phase change material such as: Honeywell PTM7950, Upsiren PCM-1, Gelid HeatPhase Ultra, Thermalright Heilos.
I'd love to see a mini pc like this hacked to hell with a desktop cooler of some kind. It's very strange that it has all these extra connector options but no pracitcal place to put the things you'd use them with. Maybe they are thinking people will move this board into a custom case that allows for the expansions to be useful? Could you possibly use an external gpu to make it into a super tiny gaming monster? You could maybe just attach this mini pc to the external GPU case and have a very interesting tiny gaming rig.
@@ggdfggdfgdffgfddg34 yes I have done this on 2 Lenovo P330 gen 2 tiny PC’s. They are the 1 L with. PCIE slot 3.0X8. I put riser cable on the adapter and run 2 3060’s externally. Working on a case or something to put them in. I wanted to run both in 1 case but haven’t had time to mess with them.
Interesting. You reviewers all act SO smart but can't crawl out of this FRONT and BACK cage in your head. If you think it's possible to use the ports on the RIGHT and LEFT side, Or the RIGHT on the LEFT and the LEFT on the RIGHT Side, Absolutely crazy, right? you would experience a whole new dimension. Just try it. Nothing bad will happen. I promise. And God will also say "I´ts OK." I asked him.

Thank you my friend.
You are so welcome!
@theTechNotice which mini pc you would recommend for vmix and possibly laptop replacement.
Which is the difference between GEEKOM Mini XT13, GEEKOM GT13 Pro and GEEKOM Mini IT13?
Geekom Mini IT13 was the first one. It had heating issues, so Geekom nerfed the i9 CPU. Thus, making it overhyped.
Geekom GT13 provided a slightly less powerful i9 CPU and more stylish exterior.
Geekom XT13 offered a massive cooling improvement without overly nerfing the original i9 CPU. However, they tried to hide the SD card reader. Even with the hardware attempt to hide the SD card reader, the CPU performance is the best of the bunch due to far better cooling.
I'm a bit curious as to what's different between the XT13 & IT13. Glanced over the specs and wasn't seeing anything different. What did I miss?
Thanks for all the warnings. I'll stick to my big machine, it's completely silent and works well.
Well if you think 27C is a bit warm I don't think I'll be buying one. That's the temperature in my place in Winter. It's hell on earth in Summer.
Can you add other cpu cooler to test the thermal..
I think the minisforum MS-01 is a better unit albeit larger than this
Oh yeah, like 3x the size!
13:22 Which thermal paste did you use?.
That was WAY TOO MUCH!. ARCTIC MX6 or KRYONAUT might do the trick.
Who in 2024 is still using traditional paste? Only phase change material such as: Honeywell PTM7950, Upsiren PCM-1, Gelid HeatPhase Ultra, Thermalright Heilos.
Gamdias XC3

which keyboard are you using ? and what's that dial on the right top corner of the keyboard ?
Explained in this video: ruclips.net/video/yiJegUixPUQ/видео.html&ab_channel=TechNotice
Is it possible to install a full-fledged cooler from a desktop PC on a mini PC? can you do an experiment?

Id have to agree! what wluld you get for $1k?
Which ones?
32GB RAM is not powerful, minimum power starts from 64GB.
3rd minus the bot
well, kicked them out now! There's so many of them! :(
😂
@@theTechNotice blows my mind YT acts like they can’t do anything about it. Sometimes I think they allow it just for the interactions.
