This was SO HELPFUL! I do not have a physics background, but needed to know about the spectrofluorimeter for a class project. So glad I stumbled across your content!
@@PracticalNinjas Yes thank you foe the clear illustratins..is the purpose pf the exciter monocbhomator to focus the light beams and maybe collimate them and then the grating only lets the particular wavelength pass through is thst right?
@@PracticalNinjas Is the purpose of the ellipsoidal mirror before the entrance slit to focus the light bwams as opposed to just placing the light source in front of the entrance slit?
I have a doubt . A prism can refract sunlight so it can be used as a monochromator . But can it be used in uv spectrophotometer and flurosence spectrophotometer ?
+ DATTATREYA SATAPATHY, The sunlight which we can see is composed of the radiations from electromagnetic spectrum. The prism is responsible for dispersing this EMR. So it can be used in UV spectrophotometer and fluorescence spectrophotometer where the sources of light also emit EMR.

Thank you so much. Very simple yet clear...
We are glad you liked the video Franchesca Lloterio
good video.
keep it up, very informative video
Thanks +Eng.Ahmed. Glad you liked the video.
keep up the good work.
Thanks +Arpita Das. Glad you liked the video.
why does the emission peak shifts when we change excitation wavelength?

Thank u
Glad we could help :)
Video is too informative but Could u pls upload caption in it
+Pankhuri Patel: Thanks for your feedback. We have uploaded the captions for your convenience :)
Can u also work on techniques used in biochemistry
+Pankhuri Patel, Thanks for the suggestion. We will try to make videos on those techniques as well.
