it was truly nice to be there and interact live. i really hope you reconsider your decision and, who knows, listen to giants? that'd be neat, i'll definitely attend lmao just correcting myself, 'my big mouth' actually has 30+ guitars hahah
Ever since The Masterplan was about as bottom of the barrel as Oasis can get, this album truly feels like a hawk to a degree, being miles above in quality. It truly seems like they made this with the intention of doing something different, which was a great move on their end.
It's their best album after the first two, but it was dreadfully produced. The songs are too long. Too much guitar layering and use of strings. Several of the songs should have been cut, with the rest totally stripped down to their bare parts. As a result, the songs all sort of sound the same. Oasis also released too many good songs on b-sides around this time instead of including them on the third album (Acquiesce, Masterplan, Talk Tonight, etc.).
I find it funnily ironic how the album the Gallaghers say is their least favourite ends up being mediocrely ok in your eyes whilst their more favoured albums are complete rubbish compared to this
If you do another you have to do The Masterplan before Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants. It’s one of their best albums even if it’s a B-Side compilation and the comment on your live was overrating SOTSOG. It has 3-4 amazing top tier songs that are some of their best but the rest is filler or boring made at a time where the band had just 3 members and Noel was in a heavy battle with his drug addiction
@@humanreviewsstuffI have to check that out once I’ve finished this lol. Watched your first 2 Oasis videos a while back and YT recommended something from your channel so I checked it out to see if u reacted to more and saw this vid. As for SOTSOG it’s worth checking out for the highs, songs like Gas Panic and Roll It Over really let the instrumentals do a lot of the talking and the lyrics take a step up from the more nonsensical Brit pop stuff but the filler makes it so disappointing. Probably my least fav album once track scores actually average out which sucks to say

You blasted their masterpieces and liked one of their worst works 😂 You could react some of their live and iconic performance, 5/7 songs in one video, it could be an idea
The Stone Roses and Oasis are opposite in that Oasis records sound terrible but they sound incredible live Whereas Stone Roses records sound incredible but they are dreadful live
I've never understood the mass love of Oasis. Even in the 90's, I never understood it. Insipid, painfully bad lyrics, rudimentary, dull chord progressions (at least the ones Gallagher didn't completely lift from other bands) and a singer who sounds like he's blowing a kazoo through a flu-burdened nose. I think they have about 3 or 4 solid songs. But I mostly just can't stand them. I'm glad a lot of people get into them, as I always want people to enjoy music, even if I may not get what they're into - but yeah, personally, they've just never done anything for me. And yeah, "Be Here Now" is just a mess. That first song has 93 tracks on it. That's what you call having a head full of cocaine and not realizing that what you're making sounds like shite. It's the album that ended them, basically. It sold a lot in the UK, but soon after, it was just ending up in the return bins. When you compare them to what other indie bands were doing in the mid-late 90's, they were just making unimaginative, incurious Dad Rock nonsense. When you realize that at the same time, Blur had released their self-titled record, which was brilliant, Radiohead had released "The Bends" and "OK Computer", etc. - not to mention Pavement, Elliott Smith, etc. - there was just so much better music at the time.
Yeah, they really aren't for me either. This is the only album of theirs I've given a positive score to (albeit mixed positive), they've just never clicked with me

Plus the lyrics are shite. Man the bloody strings are awful 😅

I believe Liam likes it. Noel doesn't like most of Oasis albums and prefers his solo work.

@@CM_4422 My previous Oasis video was The Masterplan, and I really didn't like it. Still not sure if I'm gonna do Giants, but chances are I will
