Just checked it out. It's correct to move left - the priority system goes from top to bottom of the meeple, and then the direction also in priority from top to bottom. The arrow doesn't match up with the same meeple position on the card

Yes the expansion uses the automa cards from the base game. It has one additional rules card only as a reference for the Loyalty spaces and new tiles
