Love Place Fell, one of my favourite hikes, lost count of the times I have been there and as I have done it with my son and grandson, holds special memories for me. WE celebrated our Ruby Wedding Anniversary at the Inn on the Lake in May and I did a sneaky review video of it but have to say, we were both blown away there, so much so we are going back again at Christmas. Funny enough, I have always previously just gone up and down Place Fell but the last time I did it in June, I took the exact same route as you and really enjoyed it. Looks like you got some (initial) great weather for it and took some great photos, something I appreciate but man, that rain had to spoil a great days walking, with not much shelter on that walk back.
