I love how at the near end of the theme, Kratos’s main theme suddenly appears, clashing and eventually overpowers the Valkyries Theme just like in the cutscene where he and Atreus (Bear form) wrecked dem Valkyries with a Duo Tag Team climax (Kratos snaps Mist’s neck while Bear Atreus rips Hrist’s body in half) 😤⚔️💪💀💀 definitely one of the most epic moments in the entire GOW series 😁👌👍
I ended up spoiling most of the main story for Ragnarök, but this boss fight was one of the few things I didn’t know about. I knew Gná was a Valkyrie you could fight at some point in the game, but I was completely unaware of Hrist & Mist fighting Kratos & Atreus near the end of the game. I was immediately hyped when I saw them fly in and absolutely loved the fight. Best part of 2018 God of War was fighting the 9 Valkyries, so to have Ragnarök throw 2 more at me was amazing. I throughly enjoyed fighting most enemies I encountered in Ragnarök, but the Valkyries are top tier bosses to fight in the God of War games
Why everywhere I look, this channel and this video was unseen? I clearly stated that I seek hrist and mist theme but all RUclips shows me is normal boss fight! RUclips never shows channels with low subscribers. This quality content was hard to find.
This is actually one of my favorite boss themes in Ragnarok. It sounds so somber in the beginning, which to me, represents Odin's corrupting of an institution that is meant to represent honor, goodness, and compassion. Even throughout there's that combination of noble, warrior-like steadiness contrasted with sorrowful tones. These Valkyries really thought they were on the right side. Someone also noted their one-liners seem parroted. Useless god, the all-father trusted you et al. Like they just regurgitate whatever Odin put in their heads, unable to think for themselves, which makes it even sadder.
Alright, now I'm 100% convinced that this may also be Gná's theme as well. So many retries... Thank you for this. I'm so distraught knowing that there hasn't actually been an official release of the battle music in this game.

They all use the Valkyries track, but have different sound mixing and use different parts of the full track. It's the same here, Hrist and Mist have a separate mixing and use different parts of the track than Gna.
