This is actually one of my favorite boss themes in Ragnarok. It sounds so somber in the beginning, which to me, represents Odin's corrupting of an institution that is meant to represent honor, goodness, and compassion. Even throughout there's that combination of noble, warrior-like steadiness contrasted with sorrowful tones. These Valkyries really thought they were on the right side. Someone also noted their one-liners seem parroted. Useless god, the all-father trusted you et al. Like they just regurgitate whatever Odin put in their heads, unable to think for themselves, which makes it even sadder.

I wanted a song for Atreus in the evil and villain Loki style being a liar,proud being selfish with a huge inflated ego,arrogant,traitor,cheater and manipulator and also a little bit of the good boy to show Atreus Innocent naive the two faces and his two personalities that he has It would be incredible a shame it didn't happen.. I ended up spoiling most of the main story for Ragnarök, but this boss fight was one of the few things I didn’t know about. I knew Gná was a Valkyrie you could fight at some point in the game, but I was completely unaware of Hrist & Mist fighting Kratos & Atreus near the end of the game. I was immediately hyped when I saw them fly in and absolutely loved the fight. Best part of 2018 God of War was fighting the 9 Valkyries, so to have Ragnarök throw 2 more at me was amazing. I throughly enjoyed fighting most enemies I encountered in Ragnarök, but the Valkyries are top tier bosses to fight in the God of War games
