I was brought up a Catholic and never knew peace with God and assurance of salvation no matter how hard I tried to be good, until the Lord in His mercy drew me to Him and gave me a heart of flesh and eyes to see. I was literally jumping for joy when I read in Romans “1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death’ And still do! Thank you Lord Jesus! What a gracious Saviour.
Did you ever talk to your priest? There is no condemnation for those who are in Jesus. So we must walk his path and follow his teachings. And we must repent and come to him with a contrite heart. I'd say being a bit uncomfortable with sin is a good thing but you shouldn't let that feeling disturb you too much. In
@@KillerofGods yes I did and he couldn’t answer any of my questions. I felt sorry for him. It was sin that necessitated Jesus’ sacrificial death and resurrection because God who is pure and holy hates sin. We must hate sin as much as God does. Jesus’ blood makes us clean and no other sacrifice is necessary making the ‘sacrifice of the mass’ unnecessary. We cannot add to what Jesus achieved on the cross.

@@mitchellosmer1293 You don't know why we worship on Sundays? It's the Lord's day, the day he triumphed over death/satan and his resurrection. He was put to "rest" right before the Sabbath and was gone for three days and rose again... So Friday, Saturday, Sunday. That's how we got Sunday. There is also a few accounts of worshiping on the first day in the new testament. Paul broke bread (eucharist ) with the church on the first day, Paul told them to collect tithes on the first day (because everyone was gathering together for worship.)

Min. 47:39 Mary is even elevated to God status by her Mediatrix position. The third person Holy Spirit is the same "other" Comforter as is Mary full of grace. A dualism exists in Catholicism, although very subtly with Mary and the Spirit. Jesus taught His disciples that He would not leave them comfortless. He would come to them, and His Father too. Jesus is our Comforter, and the Spirit of truth. It's all about Jesus. Redemption is all about Jesus, the only begotten, dear Child of God. Heaven's work to save us is all about Jesus, who loved and gave His life for us.
And no one will ever believe or have faith or repent or come to Christ for forgiveness of their sins by their home Free Will ability until they are regenerated by the power and work of the holy Spirit. By giving their spiritually dead heart life first by God's sovereign grace alone.

For the first 1600 years no one believed in once saved always saved. That is the sin of presumption. In fact, it's always meant to be born from above, baptizm. What you had was a conversion experience, but it's not one and done. You still have to work out your salvation. Your belief system is from the 1960s hippy movement, promulgated from the likes of Chuck Smith and Calvery Chapel. I can tell you what certitude, I've read the documents from all the early church fathers who knew and were taught by the apostles. As much as you want to believe that was your church, sorry, it never existed. Once you read the early fathers: Ignatius of Antioch, polycarp, Justin Martyr, Clement of Rome, and Irenaeus of Lyon they were as Catholic as you can get. Which makes sense cuz that's where the source came from, right?
@aggienodari453 Paul, who had persecuted Chriistiabs, was secured of his salvation. It is not true that for the 1st 1500 yrs after Jesus, nobody believed in the security of salvation. Read 1 Peter, about our wonderful inheritance waiting for us in heaven.
@@Maranatha99 Hi Carolina, I would recommend some church history. If you and I entered into a time machine and we set the date to to 1950, all the Evangelical churches and Jehovah Witness would be gone. Let's say we turn the clock to 1800s. All those of the enlightenment era, seventh-day Adventist, would be gone. Let's say we move along further down the road and to the 16th century, all the anglicans, ante Baptist, Methodist, calvinist, Lutheran's would all be gone. Essentially, when you get down to the 15th century you only have three churches. The Greek Church the Oriental and the Roman rite. This is not opinion this is history. There were a lot of 'isms" which were heredical.
@@Maranatha99 Hi Caroline, I would recommend doing some early church patristic reading. These fathers were taught by the apostles. They were around 60 - 120AD Polycarp, Justin Martyr, Ignatius of Antioch Irenaeus of Lyon and Clement of Rome. In their writings they talk about people who deny the real presence of the Eucharist, Baptism Regeneration, the Supremacy of Peter in the land of the Romans. In their writings they called themselves Catholics. The patristic letters are typically what converts Protestants to Catholicism. The evidence overwhelming undeniable. I recommend a book Fathers Knows Best. Its written in a reference format that covers Catholics beliefs by the many church fathers.

Have temptations been removed from them? “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: *but* he that *shall endure unto the end* the same shall be saved.” {Mark 13:13} Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, *in departing* from the living God. But exhort one another *daily* while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, *if* we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end. {Hebrews 3:12-14} I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: *but let them not turn again to folly* {Psalm 85:8} “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he [the unclean spirit] walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Much of what you say is true. That you did not learn that Christ died for our sins when you went to Catholic school does not make the Catholic Church wrong, it just makes you a poorly catechized Catholic. You misunderstand and misrepresent Church teaching here. I'll address just a few things you said. At 18:30 you stated Catholics do not believe the work of redemption is finished. Christ's redemption is complete. But if you yourself believe God's work is finished, why do you preach? Are you yourself not working for God? If we cannot lose the salvation that Christ attained for us, why did Jesus tell Peter at the Last Supper, "I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail." Why didn't Jesus just go ahead and die knowing that his death would prevent Simon from falling away? Even after we accept Christ, we still have free will and can choose to leave him. Catholics attend Mass often because Jesus told us to. In every Gospel, Jesus says of the bread and wine: This is my body; this is my blood. In Luke 22:19 he commands us, "Do this in memory of me." He says in John 14:21, "Who obeys my commandments, loves me." It's not sufficient to say "Lord, lord"- we have to do what he asks of us!

It's too bad that Gendron doesn't know where to find the absolute, apostolic, doctrinal truth. The early Church herself, tells us where to find the absolute truth and it is not from the words of Gendron: "It is incumbent to obey the presbyters who are in the Church-those who, as I have shown, possess the succession from the apostles; those who, together with the succession of the episcopate, have received the infallible charism of truth, according to the good pleasure of the Father. But [it is also incumbent] to hold in suspicion others who depart from the primitive succession, and assemble themselves together in any place whatsoever, either as heretics of perverse minds, or as schismatics puffed up and self-pleasing, or again as hypocrites, acting thus for the sake of lucre and vainglory. Continually grinning like the Joker which reinforces his attitude of annoying superiority 4. Continuality returning to the same phrases like the criminal felons I constantly encounter on the streets, i.e. ‘I was not there when it happened.’ 5. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me.". Things seemed to be going pretty well. That is until Jesus said “For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.” This was too much for many of his disciples and “From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.” Jesus turns to the 12 and asks, “Will ye also go away? Vs 61, Jesus did not back down, for He said, "Does this offend you?" it offends protestants. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Jn 20:21, "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." Jn 17:18, "Even as thou hast sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world." Jn 17:22-23, "And the glory that thou hast given Me, I have given to Matt. 28, 18-20: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye, therefore. and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Jesus says to the crowd, "He who believes and is baptized will be saved." But in reference to the same people, Jesus immediately follows with "He who does not believe will be condemned." This demonstrates that one can be baptized and still not be a believer. This disproves the Protestant argument that one must be a believer to be baptized. There is nothing in the Bible about a "believer's baptism." "Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior," or "Ask Jesus into your heart" isn't the biblical answer. It’s important to be saved from hell, damnation, and the stain of original sin, but what are we saved for? We are saved for union with Christ. Our salvation began when we were born again through baptism and God’s own Divine Life was restored in our souls, making us like Adam and Eve were in the Garden before the Original (first) Sin. As we go through life, we are united with Christ through the Sacraments he left as gifts for us, especially through Penance (forgiveness of our sins committed since Baptism) and the Eucharist (partaking of God’s own Life, His own Divine Nature, 2 Peter 1:4) - until that day when we are truly united with Him in heaven. Scripture teaches that one’s final salvation depends on the state of the soul at death. As Jesus himself tells us, "He who endures to the end will be saved" (Matt. 24:13; cf. 25:31-46). One who dies in the state of friendship with God (the state of grace) will go to heaven. The one who dies in a state of rebellion against God (the state of mortal sin) will go to hell. (For the teaching on venial (non-deadly) and mortal (deadly) sins, see 1 John 5:16-17) What I must do to be saved: *I must be baptized with water and the Spirit. Mark 16:16, John 3:3-5, Titus 3:5, I Peter 3:20-21. (Exceptions: [1] If I desire Baptism but die before I can be baptized with water and the Spirit, God accepts my desire to be baptized, and [2] If I am killed (martyred) because of my faith, but I have not had the opportunity to be baptized, God accepts my death as my baptism, called the Baptism of Blood). * I must do the will of God the Father. Matthew 7:21 * I must keep the Commandments of God. Matthew 5:19-20, Matthew 7:21, Matthew 19:17, 1 Timothy 6:14, and others. * I must accept the Cross (suffering). "Strive for peace with everyone and for that holiness without which no one will see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14 *I must endure (persevere) to the end. Matthew 10:22, Matthew 24:13, Mark 13:13. And ... ? What else must I do? Catechism #432 The name "Jesus" signifies that the very name of God is present in the person of his Son, made man for the universal and definitive redemption from sins. It is the divine name that alone brings salvation, and henceforth all can invoke his name, for Jesus united himself to all men through his Incarnation, so that "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."😊😊

Let me explain: The bible has been changed. Did God say? Come on, really? God said He preserved His word. Psalm 12:6-7. Most modern bibles do not. In other words they are not admitting that God has a standard, His inspired word. His word is quick (alive) and quickens (gives life). His word is eternal. In fact, they deny that God preserved His word! Most of the modern bibles have at least one out and out lie. NKJB lies in Exodus 6:3. They began to call on the name of the Lord in Genesis 4:26. Others quote Jesus telling his brothers, i am not going to the feast. John 7:8. (Is he saying he is going to break the law of Moses?) He waits and then goes. Liar! BLASPHEMY . Jesus simply said, not going now, not yet. He waits and then goes. No problem, no lie. And blatantly they mock Jesus and unashamedly, constantly, with each change ask, Did God say? "All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made. " John 1:3. Clearly He is the Creator. Their Jesus was but a vessel. "Made through him." Did God say Mark 11:26? Absolutely. It is an essential part of our walk with God. A verse that makes us tremble was added????? Did God say? Acts 15:34? It shows God's divine providence. Silas was there when Paul needed him for a journey. Obviously Silas remained there. BRAZENLY, they change or remove a word that gives the believers true power! Matthew 12:31 and Mark 9:29! Some spiritual warfare needs prayer and fasting! Did God say eleven (11) times in the New Testament the word damnation, eternal burning? Yes. But not in theirs! Did God say? Did God give three witnesses to that truth? Mark 9:44, 46, 48. They however only have v48. The other two they ask, Did God say? This is important because we need to know the truth and those who preach Annialism, we cease to exist, are easily proven wrong with these verses. Jesus is God. Yet Jesus is man. Hebrews supports this with four verses, 3:3, 7:24, 8:3 and 10:12: "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sin for ever, sat down at rhe right hand of God; Hebrews 10:12. They do not use the clarifying words 'this man' at all. Again, Did God say? Every change they make is an insult to God and His word. God said He would curse those who add to or take from His word. Revelation 22:18-19. In the Old Testament those who honored a false prophet received the reward of that prophet. So the Alexandrian translators, the bible societies the publishers, the promoters, sellers and those who teach from them (showing those ear tickling bibles as God's word) or honor them will be held responsible. If done ignorantly, repent. God will not be mocked. This happened when the inspired Antioch manuscripts called the Textus Receptus were replaced by the Alexandrian manuscripts called the Codex B or the Vaticanus from the Vatican basement, and the Sianiticus from a monestary. They do not agree with each other and the latter has about 30 changes per page. Obviously inspired by their spiritual father who brings conflict, frustration, despair and DOUBT. One thing that remains somewhat universal, religion provides and inclusive , and while advocating and umbrella type, coverage, sin has become prevalent for all denominations, what does religion denote in the life of believers, why is it that the Bible has no authority in the universal church? We find much controversy and much division, and yet , we find no churches who stand with the Apostles doctrine, and we find no clergy who promote the word of God, and prefer pleasing God over man. In closing. If all remain guilty, why do any continue to find fault. If the blind lead the blind, they will all fall in the ditch.
One thing that surprises me is how evangelicals affirm they base their faith in the bible and still there are 450,000+ different denominations (according to a US gov report) each one with its own doctrine. Where does the single sound doctrine mentioned in the bible is?
Are all those 450,000 denominations Christian? I doubt it and would state that the vast majority are not. How is it you lump those blasphamus denominations in with those that are Christian?

In scripture people of the catholic persuasion tend to leave out the "and bow down to them" line from the command. Making art is not a problem worshiping said art is. we never see the isrealites "venerate" the cherubim on the arc, we do however see what happens when they "venerated" the serpent on the staff. Should we not rather listen to the army of Catholic saints who worked countless g,reat miracles and prodigies to prove that what they believed, ( and they all believed and taught and practiced the same doctrine in every age of he Church), was of Divine origin? Just wanted to point out that what I learned from Protestants who became Catholic and Catholics who became Protestant. It can be quite revealing. I have yet to meet a former Catholic who actually understood their former faith (again, bad catechesis). And almost every Catholic I've met who used to be Protestant has been a practical encyclopedia of both Protestant and Catholic theology. Some of the biggest names in Catholic apologetics are former Protestant pastors. Unfortunately, Mike Gendron falls into the category of not being properly educated in his former Catholic faith and then spread this false information to those who don’t know better. My advice to anyone who truly wants to follow Christ is to go watch a conversion testimony of former Protestant who became Catholic (there’s literally thousands of videos) and then ask yourself why so many educated leaders of the Protestant community have converted?

I’m thinking of evangelizing my 6 siblings but realize it will likely be an uphill battle. 2 are catholic, one is perhaps a Christian, 2 are atheists and one doesn’t doesn’t hold any beliefs either way (atheist?). Needless to say with abusive parents we were led astray. Eventually I would like to speak with them although they’ve ceased contact with me.
Dear Mr. Gendron, I won't remember everything you said, but I sure with I could. I'd like to stand on the street corner and disgorge everything you said like a recording. How I wish I could do it, because it's so convoluted, so insidious how the simple gospel has been so perverted to make it of none effect no matter how hard you try. If the gift of God could be bought using money, I would be doomed forever. Thanks to God's plan, I have a lot to look forward to.

(refer to old testament mosaic law requirements) 2) Unlike every carnal man, Jesus actually kept all the written mosaic law, and therefore FULFILLED the law. Inturn (as our federal head 'the last Adam') Jesus set believers free from THE TEN COMMANDMENT LAW of sin and death, so we are now under a new LAW OF GRACE adopted as son unto God and Co heirs with Christ. 3) As a man, Jesus paid for all of mankind's sins when he died on the cross, thereby satisfying the justice of God which says ' the soul that sins must die!!!' 3) Jesus's work of redemption is perfect unto salvation because there is nothing left to add. As Christ put on his cloak as incarnate human flesh; (Like us, his own creatures on the earth) , Even here in humble flesh, he became perfect through much suffering and obedience to God unto death on the cross. The righteous for the unrighteous in so doing reconciled us back to God. 4)His name is above all names, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings, HE is everything....the way the truth and the life! 5) Christ's work is perfect unto salvation because a truly saved soul can not be lost since he is sealed by the Spirit of Christ unto the day of redemption. Which leads to your next point. Jesus says to some : "I never knew you, depart from me you that worketh iniquity". There are many professors of Christ, false converts that have never been saved, who thought they were real Christians but are not. It is why the Apostle Paul exhorts us to examine ourselves, to see whether we be in the faith.
Titus 2:11-12 11. For The Grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. 12. Teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and Godly in this present world.

We do indeed need to tell people. I’ll always be grateful to the man who gave me the tract on my way to mass when I was a teenager which made me think about faith. So I started reading the Bible and saw the myriad discrepancies between biblical truth and d Rome’s teaching. The verse which clinched it for me was Matthew 23:9 “And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.” God will not share His glory with another. Only He has the right to be addressed as such. Let’s tell people, speaking the truth in love. “17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” Let scripture be our only authority not scripture plus tradition plus the magesterium.
Remind Prots that Jesus founded the One True Catholic Church Matt 16 18-19 who gave the codified bible in 382, from which pope Luther removed 7 books with no authority Deut 4:2
@@geoffjs the church is founded on Peter’s declaration “you are the messiah’. Jesus is the foundation, the cornerstone the Rock, not a mere man. Damasus commisoned a vulgate edition of the Bible in 382. Hitherto it had been in Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek. This meant only the priests, pope, clergy could read it. It took men like Wycliffe and Tyndale to risk their lives to translate it thereby making it available to everyone. It was on the list of forbidden books. In the 1500’s an englishman named William Tyndale was talking with a friend about the need for everyone to be able to know God on their own. At that time it was illegal to own a copy of the Bible in the English language. Bibles were only allowed in Latin to make sure only the highly educated could read the Bible. Tyndale’s friend wasn’t sure ordinary people needed to know the Scriptures. He thought it might be good enough for the Pope to know the Bible in Latin and then tell all the English speakers what it says. To this Tyndale replied, “I defy the Pope and all his laws, if God spare my life, I will make a boy that driveth the plough know more of the Scripture than thou dost.” I thank the Lord for these dear men and most of all, for giving us his Son the Lord Jesus, the living Word and the scriptures, the written Word. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. The Catholic church has changed the Ten Commandments, the second commandment about not worshipping idols has been changed and the 9th and 10th have been changed also about not coveting your neighbour’s wife/goods. We shouldn’t change, add too, take away from scripture. Very serious indeed. Yet Rome has done this.
What does this have to do with the Catholic Church…? The Catechism of The Catholic Church states: 1996 - “Our justification comes from the grace of God. Grace is favor, the free and undeserved help that God gives us to respond to his call to become children of God, adoptive sons, partakers of the divine nature and of eternal life.”
Our 'justification come from Jesus, who presents us to God. Galatians 2:16. . . yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified Romans 5:1-2...Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
@@stever4181 yeah, but… The problem is that many Protestants will talk until they are blue in the face about Justification, but get all demure and quiet about Sanctification. It’s best summed up in 2 Peter 1:5-8 “For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities and continue to grow in them, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Faith Alone isn’t the whole story, but it seems to be promoted as such It would be more sincere those people would explain Sanctification hand in hand with Justification Just sayin.
@@stever4181 not exactly. Catholics have the full deposit of Faith to determine that which is correct. Protestants only have Scripture The difference is that Protestants have to have some kind of scriptural direction to legitimize their beliefs, while Catholics only have to ensure that our Beliefs do not conflict or contradict Holy Scripture IMHO That’s why Protestants tend to feel Catholics have weaker evidence to support their Teachings, because their expectation is that it “is clearly written” That excludes the inspired work of the Holy Spirit in both Sacred Tradition and the Authority to legitimately interpret both based upon their Apostolic Succession Peace be with you ✝️
@@savannahfan Any Catholic that agrees with your traditions agrees that man's word is equal to God's word and scriptures does not support that view. Your early church fathers gave opinions that are not found in scriptures. Now, either you believe that scriptures are God's spoken word to man or not. And if you say it is not then you are in a cult. Pure and simple. Please explain this, "full deposit of Faith ", what does it consist of and where does it come from? All Christian churches draw from scriptures. Then you have those that claim to be Christian but make up what suits them. Then you have the CC which has a Catholic faith instead of a Christian faith. Sacred Traditions are what? Recently, some evangelical supporters of Donald Trump, prayed for God to put the whole armor of God on him. They don't even understand what the scriptures are saying.
After hearing this pastor I came to realize the importance of Peter's words when he says that scripture is not subject to private interpretation. This pastor criticizes others for "not reading the bible" and doesn't notice that he have read it and have understood it all wrong.

I don't recall reading about them. The Bible defines sin. "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." 1 John 3:4. When a person is born again their natural inclination is to perform works of mercy, not as a means to become saved but rather, because they are saved and have the mind of Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit. Your intellect is driven by your passion for the Lord but like all individuals is no match for collective wisdom. It's very lazy, and foolish, not to learn from the great scholars that have gone before us. Your interpretation of the bible is just that. Your interpretation. You deceive yourself and others because of fear of being caught in a religion. Quite the opposite is true. The one true church has so much freedom and richness to offer for those willing to meditate on the life of Christ. The magisterial Church has much to say on blind spots driven by human limitations. Your interactions with the Catholic Church are superficial and very limited. 0:18--- All due respect Sir, Ligonier ministries is Calvinism! Calvinism is "A DIFFERENT GOSPEL"! RC SPROUL taught the same HERESY that John MacArthur teaches! I agree with your position on Catholicism but Calvinism is just as false. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not represented by Catholicism NOR CALVINISM. (26:01--- I can only assume that you're using a Calvinist version of the Bible. What I mean by that is that those of the Protestant persuasion came out with new versions of the Bible after The Authorized King James version. In the newer versions, they changed so much of the text bcz their Reformed calvinistic doctrines did not agree with THE SIMPLE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL. So, in their ERROR, they denied Scripture and wrote their own version of Scripture! The original TEXT OF SCRIPTURE does not say that the Way is "HARD"! The word "hard", gives the impression of WORKS and that's precisely what Calvinists teach! A WORKS SALVATION! They also completely removed part of Romans 8! The amount of changes were/are so significant that it's like looking at two lines that started at the same point but one kept veering off by a few degrees until it eventually was not aligned with the original starting point! CALVINISM is the reformed theology that has veered off course and the changes were so subtle and over such a long period of time that now a calvinist believes that THE HOLY WORD OF GOD needed correcting so that's how they defend all these updates versions of the Bible! It's a very crafty and cunning deception that is certainly appealing to the prideful religious man! John MacArthur just came out with an even newer more up to date Bible called "The LEGACY STANDARD BIBLE"! NOW, WHOSE LEGACY DID HE WRITE ABOUT? Mary is even elevated to God status by her Mediatrix position.

Hi Carolina,
I would recommend some church history.

Hi Caroline, I would recommend doing some early church patristic reading.

After this I saw in the night visions, and behold *a fourth beast* [Pagan Rome] dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another *little horn* before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the *eyes of man* and a mouth speaking great things.
{Daniel 7:7-8}

And the ten horns *out of this kingdom* are ten kings that shall arise: and another [Papal Rome] shall rise *after* them; and he shall be diverse (claiming authority over church and state craft; the spiritual sword and the temporal sword) from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and *think to change times and laws* and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
(Same dispensation of the time of the Gentiles; and the time of the two witnesses.)
But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away *his* dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

1) I cannot believe that the Church was founded upon Peter. It was built upon Christ, who is the true foundation stone.
No one claims that St.Peter was the principal foundation stone. But that the Church which is in communion with St.Peter and his successors is the genuine Church built upon the foundation of Christ.Christ Himself said to Peter,"Thou art Peter, upon this rock I will build My Church," Christ is the rock upon which the Church is built. But the first rock laid upon this foundation is Peter, Christ being the principal foundation stone.Peter being the secondary foundation chosen by Christ.
I'm a former Catholic. And not all Catholic doctrines, dogma and traditions are in holy scripture.
It's too bad that Gendron doesn't know where to find the absolute, apostolic, doctrinal truth. The early Church herself, tells us where to find the absolute truth and it is not from the words of Gendron:
"It is incumbent to obey the presbyters who are in the Church-those who, as I have shown, possess the succession from the apostles; those who, together with the succession of the episcopate, have received the infallible charism of truth, according to the good pleasure of the Father. For all these have fallen from the truth".

I have been closely observing this guy over several of his RUclips uploads and have some observations to suggest. I have been a reserve police officer for many years, and we are trained in the Law Enforcement Academy to carefully observe individuals’ speech patterns, physical movements, facial expressions and wording to correctly analyze a situation to, obviously, prevent from being killed by some criminal felon. Thus, my humble observations:
1. Continued use of cliché phrases and terms without answering any questions
2. An obvious arrogant and self - righteous façade which hides a basic level of anxiety
3. Continually grinning like the Joker which reinforces his attitude of annoying superiority
4. Continuality returning to the same phrases like the criminal felons I constantly encounter on the streets, i.e. ‘I was not there when it happened.’
5. I researched his ‘degree’ from Dallas Theological and it is a degree mill ‘Jesus Loves You’ school; he is not a theologian
6. Never debates sound Catholic theologians like Bishop Robert Barron, Dr. Taylor Marshall or especially Scott Hahn
7. His net worth is currently over 10 million dollars, so obviously attacking the Catholic Church is very lucrative. I believe Christ mentioned something about a camel and a needle.
Just final comment: I suggest this lover of humanity leave and spread the Gospel in Iran, Iraq, Saudia Arabia, Yemen, Afghanistan, China or Cuba where he could demonstrate his bravery and self-sacrificing posture to other deluded souls.

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
Jn 20:21, "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you."
Jn 17:18, "Even as thou hast sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world."

Matt.
There is nothing in the Bible about a "believer's baptism."
"Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior," or "Ask Jesus into your heart" isn't the biblical answer.
(For the teaching on venial (non-deadly) and mortal (deadly) sins, see 1 John 5:16-17)
What I must do to be saved:
*I must be baptized with water and the Spirit.
Matthew 7:21
* I must keep the Commandments of God. Matthew 5:19-20, Matthew 7:21, Matthew 19:17, 1 Timothy 6:14, and others.
* I must accept the Cross (suffering). Matthew 10:38, Matthew 16:24-25, Mark 8:34, Luke 9:23, Luke 14:27. Phil 1:29, and others.
* I must be a member of God's true church. Acts 2:46-47.
* I must confess my sins. James 5:16, I John 1:9, John 20:19-23
* I must heed the words of St. Peter, the first Pope. Acts 11:13-14, Acts 15:7.
* I must eat the flesh and drink the blood of Jesus Christ. John 6:51-58, I Corinthians 10:16-17, 11:23-30
* I must do unto others as I would have them do unto me and love my neighbor as myself. I must feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, visit the sick and those in prison or give other aid to those in need. Luke 10:33 ff, Mt 25:31-46. "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to God" Hebrews 13:16. Good works don’t save us, but we will be judged by them.
*I must strive to be holy. "Strive for peace with everyone and for that holiness without which no one will see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14
*I must endure (persevere) to the end. Matthew 10:22, Matthew 24:13, Mark 13:13.
And ... ? What else must I do?
Catechism
#432 The name "Jesus" signifies that the very name of God is present in the person of his Son, made man for the universal and definitive redemption from sins. It is the divine name that alone brings salvation, and henceforth all can invoke his name, for Jesus united himself to all men through his Incarnation, so that "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."😊😊

You read scripture to know his word and get closer to god.

Scripture teaches that we receive forgiveness by faith. That is, God forgives us not because of any good work or virtue we've achieved, but only by trusting in him and resting in the perfect work of Christ. Romans 3-4 is again helpful.

Far from claiming honor and homage for himself, he soberly warns his fellow elders to guard against lording it over those under their pastoral care (1 Pet. 5:3). The only glory he claimed for himself was that which is shared by all believers and which is yet “to be revealed, … when the Chief Shepherd appears” (vv. 1, 4).

The Atonement: The Strongest Refutation of Rome's Eucharistic Errors
>>>>>>>
Early church leaders knew nothing of transubstantiation.
The eucharist hardly makes any exegetical since to start with.
Tradition cannot be the will of God if it goes against the word of God.
Jesus uses parallelism in this discourse to equate believing with eating his flesh. Note the parallel between verse 40 and verse 54:
(Jn. 6:40) “For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”
(Jn. 6:54) “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
.>>According to this parallel, beholding and believing (v.40) are equated with eating and drinking Christ’s flesh (v.54). This is further paralleled by verse 35:
>>(Jn. 6:35) I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.
>>(Jn. 6:54) “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
>>>To “hunger” and “thirst” and parallel to the one who “eats” and “drinks.” But note what Jesus says satisfies our hunger: “He who comes to Me… he who believes in Me.” Jesus isn’t speaking about his literal flesh and blood any more than he is speaking about literal bread (Jn. 6:35) or literal water (Jn. 4:10-14). Indeed, Jesus uses the term sarx for his “body,” rather than the common term sōma (which was the common term used in the Lord’s Supper). Indeed, the “term ‘flesh’ is never used in the NT to refer to the Lord’s Supper.”[4] Hence, this seems “to caution against a sacramental or eucharistic understand of these verses.”[5] This is why Augustine of Hippo wrote regarding this passage: “Believe, and you have eaten.”
>>Jesus works in metaphor’s, analogy and hyperbole. In Mark 8 Jesus uses bread language again anhesd calls out those confused thinking he’s being literal not realizing the spiritual message.
>>The catholic reasoning system will have little influence on the born again believer who’s truly born of the spirit. Those like my self who exegete and derive revelation from the spirit see the heretical lie of transubstantiation.
>>>Irenaeus of Lyons (AD 180) stated that the elements do not lose the nature of bread and wine (Against Heresies, 4.18.4-5; 5.2.2).
>>>Tertullian (AD 200) said Jesus’ statement was figurative (Against Marcion, 3.19).
>>>Clement of Alexandria (AD 200) called the bread and wine symbols of Jesus’ body (The Instructor, I.6).
>>>Origen (AD 250) held his typical allegorical and spiritual view when referring to the elements in the Last Supper.
>>>>Eusebius of Caesarea (AD 340) called the elements the body and blood of Christ, but also referred to them as symbolic of spiritual realities (On the Theology of the Church, 3.2.12).
>>>Augustine (AD 350) believed that John 6:53 should be understood spiritually and symbolically-not literalistically (On Christian Doctrine 3.16.2).
Gelasius I (5th century pope): “The sacrament which we receive of the body and blood of Christ is a divine thing. Wherefore also by means of it we are made partakers of the divine nature. Yet the substance or nature of the bread and wine does not cease to be… Thus, as the elements pass into this, that is, the divine substance by the Holy Ghost, and none the less remain in their own proper nature.”
Let me explain:
The bible has been changed.
"Made through him."
Did God say Mark 11:26?

Jesus Christ is the Head of the church. We are the Body of believers.
@@ldebrobander Correct the whole of the Bible states that Jesus's church are his believers and never states it is a religious institution of any kind.

The 1ST and 2ND COMMANDMENT OF GOD

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
how do you explain the figures of angels either side of the ark of the covenant then? It is certain the Jews did not bow down before these angels (as they did with the Golden Calf) and it is certain that Catholics do not worship their religious iconography either.
@@eyoung8215 But catholics attempted to change God's Moral Law, the 10 Commandments by trying to remove the command to not bow down to idol. Whay was that?
@@williamstroud1455 BINGO!
In scripture people of the catholic persuasion tend to leave out the "and bow down to them" line from the command. Making art is not a problem worshiping said art is. we never see the isrealites "venerate" the cherubim on the arc, we do however see what happens when they "venerated" the serpent on the staff. It is very foolish of the RCC to encourage saint mediation as we see in acts and 1 Tim 2. Acts says don't pray to the apostles and Tim 2 says Jesus is the only mediator between God and man.

Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 5:4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Yes it's true many Christians don't follow the narrow gate
The Catholic Church with Peter to whom Christ gave the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, and his legitimate successors holding those Keys at its head, never has and never can get anthing wrong in doctrine liturgy or moral teaching. Why Because Christ who bestowed those Keys on p Peter also said of his One Church to whom he bestowed UNITY and promised to protect to the end of time:: ""...and the gates of Hell (the ancient Fathers of the Church identify those "gates" and the "tongues of heretics") will NOT PREVAIL against IT."
Therefore you do greatly err."
And who, pray, are you? Should anyone take seriously the assertions of a man who has not one public miracle to show as a certification that what he says has divine authority? Should we not rather listen to the army of Catholic saints who worked countless g,reat miracles and prodigies to prove that what they believed, ( and they all believed and taught and practiced the same doctrine in every age of he Church), was of Divine origin? Common sense and the Holy Spirit gives those who "have ears to hear", the answer...

I'm amazed that Catholism preaches repentance to Catholism rather than to the Lord Jesus.
No, it doesn’t. It preaches forgiveness from Jesus.
Verse John 1:1 can be connected to 1 Timothy 2:5, in that the Word who was God refers to Christ Jesus who is the mediator between God and man.

>>>>>>>

If it's perfect redemption then why does Jesus say that he will say to the people who kept sinning "depart from me, I never knew you"?
There is actually two questions here you have raised, if I may read between the lines...and also explain.
1) Christ is all God and all (perfect) man without sin. It is why his work is the perfect work of salvation because it satisfies God for these reasons:
1) God does not accept sacrifices that have blemishes/defects or any infirmities on them.
(refer to old testament mosaic law requirements)
2) Unlike every carnal man, Jesus actually kept all the written mosaic law, and therefore FULFILLED the law.
Inturn (as our federal head 'the last Adam') Jesus set believers free from THE TEN COMMANDMENT LAW of sin and death, so we are now under a new LAW OF GRACE adopted as son unto God and Co heirs with Christ.
3) As a man, Jesus paid for all of mankind's sins when he died on the cross, thereby satisfying the justice of God which says ' the soul that sins must die!!!'
3) Jesus's work of redemption is perfect unto salvation because there is nothing left to add.
Jesus says to some :
"I never knew you, depart from me you that worketh iniquity". There are many professors of Christ, false converts that have never been saved, who thought they were real Christians but are not. It is why the Apostle Paul exhorts us to examine ourselves, to see whether we be in the faith.
Titus 2:11-12
11. For The Grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.
12. Teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and Godly in this present world.

As a former Catholic, He is SPOT ON!
We do indeed need to tell people. I’ll always be grateful to the man who gave me the tract on my way to mass when I was a teenager which made me think about faith. So I started reading the Bible and saw the myriad discrepancies between biblical truth and d Rome’s teaching.
The verse which clinched it for me was
Matthew 23:9
“And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.”
God will not share His glory with another. Only He has the right to be addressed as such.
Let’s tell people, speaking the truth in love.
“17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.”

To this Tyndale replied, “I defy the Pope and all his laws, if God spare my life, I will make a boy that driveth the plough know more of the Scripture than thou dost.”
I thank the Lord for these dear men and most of all, for giving us his Son the Lord Jesus, the living Word and the scriptures, the written Word.
The Catechism of The Catholic Church states:
1996 - “Our justification comes from the grace of God. Grace is favor, the free and undeserved help that God gives us to respond to his call to become children of God, adoptive sons, partakers of the divine nature and of eternal life.”
Our 'justification come from Jesus, who presents us to God. Galatians 2:16. . . yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified
Romans 5:1-2...Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
@@stever4181 yeah, but…
The problem is that many Protestants will talk until they are blue in the face about Justification, but get all demure and quiet about Sanctification.
It’s best summed up in 2 Peter 1:5-8
“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities and continue to grow in them, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Faith Alone isn’t the whole story, but it seems to be promoted as such
It would be more sincere those people would explain Sanctification hand in hand with Justification
Just sayin.
@@savannahfan I would agree.
It is the same old story on both sides. see a verse and take it out of context. Very similar to John 6:53.
@@stever4181 not exactly.
Catholics have the full deposit of Faith to determine that which is correct. Protestants only have Scripture
The difference is that Protestants have to have some kind of scriptural direction to legitimize their beliefs, while Catholics only have to ensure that our Beliefs do not conflict or contradict Holy Scripture
IMHO That’s why Protestants tend to feel Catholics have weaker evidence to support their Teachings, because their expectation is that it “is clearly written”
That excludes the inspired work of the Holy Spirit in both Sacred Tradition and the Authority to legitimately interpret both based upon their Apostolic Succession
Peace be with you ✝️
@@savannahfan Any Catholic that agrees with your traditions agrees that man's word is equal to God's word and scriptures does not support that view.
Where did the Apostles mention this, where did Jesus mention this? Ahh, I see, it was the CC that states this. Self-profession has no authority.

9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, 10nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
11And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Why so many commercials?
Is the VISA factual? ( Vatican international sales association).
We are not worshiping mary or the eucharist
We only worship God who is present in the Eucharist
Catholics don't worship Mary. We received the Eucharist as the body and blood of Christ in John 6
Who are you to think you are superior or equal to christ to even think you know
Then should we not attend mass?
Those evangelicals who claim that God accepts the worship of other religions, are not really evangelicals, but universalists. And universalists are not Christian.
This “pastor” is either seriously mistaken, poorly formed or just a liar. He’s been debunked countless times.
Actually you are wrong and you are falsely accusing him, violating one of the commandments. Your works are filthy rags before the Lord just as mine are. Everything he says is backed up by scripture and I’m willing to bet that everything you say is backed up by church tradition that started 700 years after Christ died.
@@Learnerofthings Everything we say is backed by the Bible and most of what he claims about us is demonstrably wrong. Many videos have flat out debunked him entirely, even debunked the video we’re currently commenting on. The guy is a lying clown and it’s been clearly proven, but good luck with that.
@@Learnerofthings What he says is not backed up by the interpretation of scripture revealed by the Holy Spirit to the apostles, it's only backed by his own personal interpretation.
Kindly open up your two most recent videos to comments. Catholicism can answer these charges you make in these latest and you must be open to having them pointed out to you for the sake of truth and not misleading people who watch these videos.
It's truly amazing how little he knows about the Catholic Church
He was a Catholic for 35 years …

Make sure you read the Sermon on the Mount also the Beatitudes, the Corporal works of mercy The seven deadly Sins.
Rather, humbly and carefully read the whole bible and ask God to open your understanding to all his truth.
@@tamie2714 Amen. Understanding all His truth is of the utmost importance. And what is Truth? "Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth." Psalm 119:151, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." John 17:17. There is the full definition of Truth, straight from God's Word. It is God's Commandments, Jesus is the Truth, and His Word is Truth. All proclaimed truth must meet this test or it does not qualify as truth. Blessings to you.
Make sure you read, and follow, the entire Word of God. Not just sections. "And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it." Luke 11:27 & 28. I don't know about 7 deadly sins or works of mercy.? Are those Biblical? I don't recall reading about them. The Bible defines sin. "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." 1 John 3:4. When a person is born again their natural inclination is to perform works of mercy, not as a means to become saved but rather, because they are saved and have the mind of Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." John 14:12. Blessings
Galatians 2:21
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
All sin is deadly.

So does this pastor believe “once saved always saved”?
No
One saved always save is relatively new doctrine.
Any Christian, and Catholics do this well, that can bend their will, intellect and knee because they listen with their heart and head is far richer than by just reasoning with an opinionated and passionate and prejudiced mind.
I'm personally very happy with my relationship with the Mother of God, who being married to the Holy Spirit, and by her 'yes' conceived Jesus Christ our saviour.
She continues to play a vital role as any good mother does in dispensing the graces won by the Lord for all her children.
She loves us all greatly.
Allow your heart to dwell in her maternal heart which always points to her Son's Sacred Heart.
Here you will find revelation that transends intellect alone Ponder, as she did, upon the life of her son, and your life story will change dramatically.

Jesus is speaking to the crowd; John 6; 27 , "Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for that which endures unto life everlasting, which the Son of Man will give you. I'm saying this bcz you keep quoting men and Bible versions that are Heretical! Your position on Catholicism is correct but your blindness to the false gospel of Calvinism, needs to be removed! Please pray about my comment and do your own research.

I was saved as a very young kid..
First off, i knew i was a bad kid and headed to hell.
At every mass they read about the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, son of God , to pay for my sins.
I was too young to care about any of the religious lies.
I knew that a priest CANNOT FORGIVE SINS.
I believe the Holy Spirit was testifying this truth to me.
Anyway, its Very very important to tell young children about the Gospel!!!!
