    Thank you. I've had one Aikido taster lesson, and while I enjoyed it, everything went by in a bit of a whirl. This is exactly the primer I needed.

    Doesn't "uchi" means something like inside and not strike? Like in Uchi Mata in Judo means a throw inside the leg.

      SirPayne Japanese is very homophonic. "Uchi" can mean multiple things, depending upon the kanji used.
