Shelby Cobra Daytona & Cobra 427 Replicas roaring around Monza Circuit!

- I have to admit I've been tremendously entertained and amazed recording these two American beasts during a test day organized by KR Motorsports at Autodromo Nazionale Monza a couple of weeks ago. I'm not 100% sure but they look like two replicas made by Factory Five, and if so the yellow Cobra 427 is called Factory Five Roadster Mk4-R while the Daytona is their Type 65 Coupe probably upgraded to the racing-specs of the Type 65 Coupe-R. Unfortunately I don't know much more about them (being kit cars, under the hood there could be any type of V8 engine), I've only understood that both are partecipating/took part into the German P9 Challenge and the Austrian Histo-Cup.

THANKS FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBE!!!
I am stunned seeing a Shelby Cobra Daytona with an aero kit! Never seen it before and it looks stunning!
I agree!
im pretty certain that its not an original and it could be a modified factory five type 65 coupe r kit. I did not recognize those ducts on the hood and body though so i very well could be wrong!!
@@zachdonnelly3502 Could be the case, but damn, does it look awsome!
@@blaze3766 True!
@Mark O The thumbnail took all my attention. XD
With all the mods to the Daytona it kinda looks like a 240Z
Exactly what I thought it was when I glanced at the thumbnail
I thought it was a Marcos at first glance.
Marcos yeah, 240 not really .
I can't remember for certain. But I think peter Brock the guy who designed the Daytona worked for Datsun in the 70s and 80s.
Yeah it does
That Daytona look's so freaking badass, I'm in love
what a fantastic sound from the both Cobras.
Always reminds me of the Nascar races in the early 70s.
Once you experience such high-revving V8 steam hammers, you never forget it.
Loved seeing these in mixed grid races. They blast past everything down the straight then have to slow right up for the corner (compared to everyone else)
That Daytona looks AWESOME!! Good share as always!
Already said and I repeat. There is no better automotive channel in the world than this. Especially in the shooting in Monza. Monza has a particularity. it is a circuit that, due to its confornation, and the environment surrounding it (significant distance between the circuit sections), allows those who have the artistic sense, yes, yes, really artistic to steal one of the most beautiful things in test days personally. The pleasure of hearing the cars exit the Roggia ( second Chicane ) unload 2 gears, face the 2 of Lesmo and launch down towards the Ascari ... or hear the whole straight of the parabolic until it reappears at its exit. A huge thank you.
I can watch this video all day long and still want to hear more of that roaring thunder...Definitely gonna own both of these beasts one day♥
The Daytona is the Factory Five kit. Love it also
They sound good through headphones/speakers but it's nothing like being there in person. You actually feel their sound too. As great as this video is, it can't capture the true experience.
Really enjoyed this one... Shelby Cobra is one of my fav cars 😍. Thanks!
Thank you a bunch!!!
Could listen to this all day long!
God, I love the Daytona.
Thanks for posting another video of that daytona! Soo cool
You sure do get your exercise hiking around these circuits to get these great shots. Thanks. Shelby Daytona is my favorite race car of all time.
The 427 is the happiest looking car I've ever seen.
na miata?
Try Austin Healey Sprite ;)
that daytona is a peach! seems to sod off pretty good too
The 427 is loads of power, but I still love a good ol' screaming 289 any day.
Carroll Shelby the man himself would agree with you. He preferred the high rpm's of the small block on the track.
Thunderous symphony.
Factory Five Racing Daytona . Uma grande máquina
Nice. You really need a drone to appreciate Monza.
i think it's illegal here in Italy
I want a Daytona sooooo bad
Can that kit be made street legal?
@@surfside75 Yes it can be if you go with the normal kit vs the R kit
Every time I see the 427 coming towards me, I think the headlights look like a pair of sexy eyes with that old school tape, the chrome surround and the black panel above it.
Looks like 2 people are proud owners of Teslas. How can you not love these beasts?
That body is heavily modified but man it looks right at home on a track. Beautiful sounds.
The Cobra proportions seems a little off and it's not the cage doing that.
Wonderful content as always Bozzy.
You're right - that's a Factory Five reproduction, their Type 65 R. It's caged, with aero and slicks right out of the box.
@@natechatigny7107 Thanks for the clarification
Hi and thanks Bozzy very cool 😎😊
I want a Daytona Coupe SO bad. Hopefully I can get a factory five kit one day
Looking at the body and aero of the Daytona, it seems to be a Factory Five Racing 3rd Generation Type 65 Coupe-R, but the strange thing is that car comes with a SCCA/NASA full cage standard, and looking in the cockpit I see nothing. It may be a previous generation Factory Five Daytona with the aero added.
Very cool!!!!!!!! 🏁🏁🏁🏁
The yellow Cobra is just a kit car, but its a cool racing car. I saw it in Hockenheimring.
American V8 🇺🇸😍
Cool!
Menthality of Carol Shelby: Eat Chickenwings and drive Thunderthings! Hahaa... .
Shelbyfest!
why it looks like a 240z
Epic
Daytona is sweet.
5:54 my god lol
may I ask what Camera you are using? love your vids!!
He uses Canon Legria GX10 for the recording and Canon DM-100 for the audio (microphone)
Anyone know what kinda motors they are using? They sound INSAne
I don't like the massive wing. Might be better handling but it doesn't fit. The roadster looks great, though. That could be contemporary.
It's odd, doesn't sound like much heel and toe action going on. Makes them sound really quiet on the corner approach.
It’s pretty typical of rich guys. They’ll pay a boatload of money for a car but won’t learn how to drive it properly.
Carroll would not be impressed!
Those are not "kit" cars, but component cars. Each has it's own chasse & suspension. The only parts that are not unique is the drive train. Remember, your car was in parts before you bought it.

Rumbling V8s!
Evil. Just the way they should be.
It is not a Shelby coupe. It's a kit car. Stop degrading the Shelby brand.
Old american car with modern look aero 😍
