- Steel pipe has been manufactured for more than a hundred years.
When we started many years ago, we did so with a revolutionary process - one that allowed us to push what was possible with seamless piping. So, why are we still talking about steel pipe? What more is there to say?
Let us show you what sets Tenaris apart.
These folks really have their process down. Much respect.
Great video and brilliant animations. Thanks a lot.
Wow. This videos makes me want to work for Tenaris
Seamless pipe was made in National Tube works in McKeesport ,Pa. in the 1900. The mill has since closed but made pipe till the 1980"s .
Well organised and best automation in Pipe line
Where are you based Mayur? We are hiring and based in Vancouver BC, Canada.
Thanks. Very informative indeed. Are the steps going to be same for different materials (i.e. CS, SS304, Inconel 625, etc)?
SS 304 AND INCONEL VERY HARD MATERIAL MAY NEED EXTRA STEPS
Sorry, was thinking of monel.
How does that boring mandrel aka piercing tool come out once the solid bar is forced onto it? And I imagine that the piercing tool must be fixed at the other end and must be longer than the tube/pipe. Otherwise, how is it supported?
I worked for 10 years at tenaris in the sault, heat treatment department.
Very hard work.

With the amount of timber you use on deliveries. You can't possibly say minimum environmental impact.
At the bar mill where I once worked we established a program of recycling wood from incoming trucks and cars into outbound shipments. We saved much money and wood.
Wood literally grows on trees. More trees are planted than are cut down. The wood will be recycled one way or another.
