The game was made by slighly mad studio, the ones you'd expect quality simracing from. Instead you got the physics that is hard...but not even close to the realistic ones like in AC or iracing
@@installshieldwizard3017 How does AC have realistic physics? It just feels like butter. Shift 2 Unleashed has very good physics but simply you guys can't drive properly, I never had problems with driving in that game
Havent played the other popular sims like AC or iracing, but these physics are pretty phenomenal. You HAVE to get your car dialed in correctly though otherwise yes you're right the car will handle like garbage (which is realistic). That's why I have such a high lap count on Nurburgring. I used it as my test track every time I made a tune. Not only did it help me memorize the track, but also provided a control to compare against.

one of the reasons i'm playing Shift 2 is the awesome soundtrack :) the gameplay has been improved too; finally I can do some drifts haha because it's a kind of impossible to drift in Shift 1

Aug 2021 - perfect time to recall this masterpiece. After installing this game and playing for about 3h I've decided that it'll stay on my HDD for a quite long time. Especially when career will be passed, Drift mode is a fun sandbox to play with
I don't think the quality is bad, but there's this clicking sound half way or so through that keeps going off like every 5 seconds. I've found that on every video for this exact song.

This remix, the epic 3d rotating main menu & the glitched gear change engine sounds on the works zo6 definitely make shift 2 a game to remember.
The main menu and the intro... God I couldn't sleep when I realized we have 24-hour races, and accidents can happen while driving in the night.

Prostreet was arcade ngl, but the physics were enhoyable in grip, you could really feel the weight and inertia of the car
