@@Rlrlrl1962 haha loser you'll never be attractive as her. No matter how cool you wanna be you just cry yourself in your little bed that you aren't as good looking as her.
My fave vegan cheese recipe I used literally for everything was 2 white potatoes (not just white like any kind of white potato ex. Russet) 1 or 2 carrots depending on what size your potatoes are 1 whole onion Boil it until it’s soft asf Blend it until it’s super super smooth and you hardly see any granulated chunks Add 1/4 nutritional yeast (again more based on your preference, I love nooch so I add a lot, add a bit less if you don’t like the taste as much) Garlic powder salt onion powder You can use your favorite UNSWEETENED NON FLAVORED (I’ve made that mistake many times) Vegan butter (you can use coconut oil if you want but it doesn’t have the same cheesy dairy effect) Pickled jalapeños It makes the perfect nacho cheese sauce
My favorite nacho cheese sauce comes from Hot For Food and it’s just: 1 C white potatoes, peeled and cubed 1/2 C carrots, peeled and cubed 1/4 C vegetable oil 1/4 C nondairy milk 2 tsp lemon juice 6 pickled jalapeño slices 3 tbsp jalapeño pickle brine 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1 tbsp nutritional yeast 1/2 tsp sea salt Tastes just like regular nacho cheese you’d get at a sports event etc and it’s so damn good. But you have to eat it within the first 4-5 days of making it unless you freeze it.
This sounds really good but it's too much work for me most days! My fav sauce is super easy. It's hummus (I like red pepper hummus), nutritional yeast, green Tabasco, a splash of plant milk and whatever other spices you like. Onion, garlic, mustard, etc. Whisk it all together to a good cheese sauce consistency and heat it on low, just until it bubbles slightly. Dump it on everything lol
I love hummus too. I always say its my vegan cheese. Hummus made cheese very easy to give up...I had found a pickle hummus in Aldi's and it tasted just like cheese. Of course I never found it again. Also Target has an roasted artichoke & spinach one , and a avacado & jalapeño one, they are delicious all I do is add a pack of sazon to them. Target and Aldis have the best hummuses in my opinion..

She’s by far the most soft spoken and polite vegan I’ve seen on the internet shes not trying to urge people to be vegan but is just sharing amazing recipes for those who are vegan. I respect her for that .
That looks amazing! I wanted to share here as I couldn’t think of another place. One whole onion diced and boiled with two cans of coconut milk until the coconut milk coagulates tasted like Gruyère

I’m not even vegan (sorry to say) but i love watching your videos. Love seeing so much creativity in the kitchen. What’s hard about watching this is that you look exactly (almost identical)like someone who i was once close with who I miss but no longer see them anymore as they’ve just started a new life halfway across the world. Not to get all sobby on here. You’re amazing and so is your channel. Keep shining keep inspiring !✌🏾
I recently heard that cheese was not good for me so this recipe is right on time. I already have one that I make but I want to try this one. It will be cheaper.
Halle, I hope all is great with you:) Nutritional yeast is the most pleasant surprise in my plant based diet...I just know that if everyone would try it they'd be blown away by how much it tastes like cheese. You, darling human...have a lovely weekend and God Bless:) Samahra
I just tried this out as a non vegan (who lovesss spicy food) and here are my thoughts: - super easy and quick to make! sometimes i don’t know how to use up tofu so this is great for those weird amounts - i think a tripled the jalapeños lol… they don’t add too much flavor because of the sweet potato so don’t be shy - taste it! i had to adjust my salt and pepper a lot - add it to pasta per bowl, not the whole batch. I just did this in case I didn’t like the flavor but I think it will keep better too.
I usually do mine with cashews but I’ll try this! For mine I use boiled cashews, plant milk, water from the cashews, tofu (if I have it), nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, garlic, onion, Italian seasoning, and something sour to give it that sour cheese taste (like a little bit of apple cider vinegar and lemon). I add tomato and a touch of salsa too, sometimes avocado to give it a neutral creamy taste if you will? Shit is delicious. The best non vegan equivalent I’d call it is a mix between Alfredo and Mac and cheese.
I’ve bn watching u for a while n I love your content! But make sure to have a variety of fats. Coconut oil is great, but it’s mostly saturated fats. Try some unsaturated fats which are liquid at room temperature. E.g. olive oil which has even more benefits (support heart health, lower cholesterol, etc)

What all is nutritional yeast good for? I bought some because I keep hearing about but not sure what to do with it

Can you substitute tofu or leave it out completely?

Thanks for the suggestion. I never know when coconut oil is absolutely necessary. I just can not stand the aftertaste of coconut oil in most anything.
@@ambrr_lily I agree. Feel like coconut oil permeates through the whole dish, over powering it.
Adding tapioca starch and reducing the sauce will allow for a stretchy cheese.
